Matthew 1: THE book of the nativity of Yeshua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2 Abraham fathered Isaac, Isaac fathered Jacob, Jacob fathered Judah and his brothers, 3 Judah fathered Pharez and Zara of Tamar, Pharez fathered Hezron, Hezron fathered Ram, 4 Ram fathered Aminadab, Aminadab fathered Nahshon, Nahshon fathered Salmon, 5 Salmon fathered Boaz of Rahab, Boaz fathered Obed of Ruth, Obed fathered Jesse, 6 Jesse fathered David the king, David fathered Solomon of the wife of Uriah, 7 Solomon fathered Rehoboam, Rehoboam fathered Abia, Abia fathered Asa, 8 Asa fathered Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat fathered Joram, Joram fathered Uzziah, 9 Uzziah fathered Jotham, Jotham fathered Ahaz, Ahaz fathered Hezekiah, 10 Hezekiah fathered Manasseh, Manasseh fathered Amon, Amon fathered Josiah, 11 Josiah fathered Jeconiah and his brothers, in the captivity of Babylon. 12 After the captivity of Babylon, Jeconiah fathered Salathiel, Salathiel fathered Zerubbabel, 13 Zerubbabel fathered Abiud, Abiud fathered Eliakim, Eliakim fathered Azor, 14 Azor fathered Zadok, Zadok fathered Achim, Achim fathered Eliud, 15 Eliud fathered Eleazar, Eleazar fathered Matthan, Matthan fathered Jacob, 16 Jacob fathered Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Yeshua who is called the Messiah. 17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the captivity of Babylon fourteen generations, and from the captivity of Babylon to the Messiah fourteen generations. 18 The birth of Yeshua the Messiah was as follows. While His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they had cohabited, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 Joseph her husband was a righteous man, and unwilling to expose her; and he thought of sending her away privately. 20 While he contemplated these things, a Messenger* of Yehovah appeared to him in a dream, and told him, “Joseph, son of David, dont fear to take Mary as your wife; for the One conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son; and she* will name Him Yeshua, for He will save* His people from their sins. 22 Now all this that happened to fulfill what Yehovah’ had spoken by the prophet, 23 “Look, a virgin will conceive, and will bear a son, and you will name Him Immanuel, that is interpreted, Yehovah is with us”. 24 When Joseph got up from his sleep, he did as the Messenger* of Yehovah had commanded him, and he took his wife. 25 He didnt know her until she had borne her firstborn son, and called His name Yeshua.
Matthew 2: When Yeshua was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, Magi came from the east to Jerusalem, 2 asking where the King of the Jews was born, for they saw His star in the east, and came to worship Him. 3 Then Herod the king heard about it, and he was disturbed; and everyone in Jerusalem with him. 4 He gathered all of the leading priests and the Law professors of the people, and asked them, “Where is the birthplace of the Messiah”? 5 They answered, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for it is written in the prophet, 6 You also, Bethlehem of Judea, arent the least among the kings of Judea, for a King will come from you who will rule My people Israel”. 7 Then Herod privately called the Magi, and learned from them when the star appeared to them. 8 Then he sent them to Bethlehem, and told them, “Go, search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, come and tell me, so that I can also go and worship Him. 9 They, when they had heard from the king, went forward; and then the star that they had seen in the east went before them, until it came and stood over where the Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced greatly. 11 They entered the house; and they saw the Child, with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshipped Him; and they opened their treasures, and presented to Him gifts, gold, myrrh, and frankincense. 12 Then it was shown them in a dream, that they shouldnt return to Herod. So they returned to their country by another route. 13 When they were gone, a Messenger* of Yehovah appeared to Joseph in a dream, and told him, “Get up and take the child and His mother, and flee into Egypt; and stay there until I tell you; for Herod will seek the Child, to destroy Him. 14 Then Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother that night, and fled to Egypt. 15 He was there until Herod died; so that it what was spoken by Yehovah thru His prophet would be fulfilled, that is, “From Egypt I have called My Son”. 16 Then Herod was very angry when he saw that he had been deluded by the Magi. So he sent men and killed all of the children in Bethlehem, and in all its *bordering areas*, from a child of two years and under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the Magi. 17 Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, 18 “A voice was heard in Rama, weeping and great lamentation; Rachel bemoaning her children, and unwilling to be comforted, because they are no more”. 19 But when king Herod was dead, a Messenger* of Yehovah appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 and told him, “Arise, take the Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel; for those who demanded the life of the Child are dead”. 21 Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother, and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was king in Judea, instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Then it was revealed to him in a dream, that he should go to the land of Galilee. 23 He came and lived in a city called Nazareth; so that what was spoken by the prophet might be fulfilled, that He should be called a Nazarene.
Matthew 3: In those days John the Baptizer came. In the desert of Judea he proclaimed, 2 “Amend your ways; the Kingdom of Heaven has approached”. 3 For this is he of whom it was said, by Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness; ‘Prepare the way of Yehovah* [1]; make His paths smooth’”. 4 As for John, his clothing was of camel’s hair, and a girdle of skin was on his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then Jerusalem went out to him, and all Judea, and all the country about the Jordan. 6 They were immersed* by him in the Jordan river, while they confessed their sins. 7 But when He saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees, who came to be baptized, He told them, “Generation of vipers, who has warned* you to flee from the wrath that comes”? 8 So do the fruits *worthy of* *a changed mind*. 9 Dont think to yourselves, that Abraham is our father; because I tell you that Yehovah is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 Look, the ax is put to the root of trees. So every tree that doesnt bear good fruit is cut, and thrown into the fire. 11 I immerse* you with water to repentance; but He who comes after me is more powerful than I; whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will immerse* [907, or immerse] you in the Holy Spirit or* [2] in fire. 12 His winnowing fan* is in His hand; and He will make His threshing floor clean. He will gather the wheat into His storehouse; and He will *entirely burn up* [2618] the chaff in unquenchable fire. 13 Then Yeshua came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be immersed* by him. 14 But John refused Him; and said, “I need to be immersed* by You, and You have come to me”? 15 Then Yeshua told him, “Allow it now, for it *is necessary* to fulfill all righteousness”. Then He allowed Him. 16 When Yeshua was baptized, He arose immediately from the water. Heaven was opened to Him; and He saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove, and it came on Him. 17 Then a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I have delight”.

[2] This reads “and with fire” in other versions, but the fire would certainly appear to be the one described in the very next verse—the alternative you would want to avoid!
Matthew 4: Then Yeshua was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the Adversary. 2 He fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward He was hungry. 3 The Tempter came, and asked Him, “If You are the Son of Yehovah, command these stones to become bread”. 4 But He replied, “It is written that man does not live by bread alone; but by every word proceeding from the mouth of Yehovah”. 5 Then the Adversary took Him to the holy city, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 and asked Him, “If you are the Son of Yehovah, cast Yourself down; for it is written, that He will give His Messengers* charge of You, and in their hands they will sustain You, for fear that you strike your foot against a stone”. 7 Yeshua replied, “Again, it is written that you shouldnt tempt the Yehovah Yehovah”. 8 Again the Adversary took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their majesty; 9 and told Him, “I will give to You all these things if You’ll fall down and worship me. 10 Then Yeshua told him, “Be gone, Satan; for it is written that you’ll worship the Yehovah Yehovah; and you will serve Him only”. 11 Then the Adversary left Him, and holy Messengers* came, and ministered to Him. 12 When Yeshua heard that John was delivered up, He left for Galilee. 13 He left Nazareth, and came and stayed in Capernaum, by the sea side, on the confines of Zebulon and Naphthali 14 that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, who said, 15 “The land of Zebulon, the land of Naphthali, the way of the sea, the ford of Jordan, Galilee of many ethnicities* [1484, ethnos]; 16 the people who sat in darkness have seen great light; and to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, light has arisen”. 17 From that time Yeshua began to proclaim, “*Amend your ways*; for the Kingdom of Heaven has approached”. 18 As He walked on the shore of the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Cephas, and Andrew his brother, who were throwing nets into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Yeshua told them, “Follow Me; and I will make you fishers of men”. 20 Immediately, they left their nets, and followed Him. 21 As He passed on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, who were mending their nets. Yeshua called them too. 22 They immediately left the ship and their father, and followed Him. 23 Yeshua traveled over all Galilee and He taught in their synagogues and proclaimed the *Good News* of the Kingdom; and He cured every disease and malady among the people. 24 His fame spread thru all Syria. They brought everyone who was very sick with various diseases to Him, and others who were afflicted with ailments, demon possessed, epileptics and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great crowds followed Him from Galilee, and from the Ten Cities, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
Matthew 5: When Yeshua saw the crowds, He climbed a hill, and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him; 2 and He began to teach them; 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs! 4 Blessed are the mourners; for they will be comforted! 5 Blessed are the meek; for they will inherit the earth! 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness; for they will be satiated! 7 Blessed are the merciful; for on them will be mercies! 8 Blessed are the innocent*; for they will see Yehovah! 9 Blessed are the peace makers; for they will be called sons of Yehovah! 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness; for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs! 11 Blessed are you, when they revile you and persecute you, and falsely speak every evil thing against you, because of Me. 12 At that time, rejoice and be glad; for your compensation* [3408] in heaven is great. For they persecuted the prophets who were before you in the same way. 13 You are the salt of the earth! But if the salt becomes insipid, with what will it be seasoned? It is fit for nothing; but to be thrown out, and be trampled under foot by men. 14 You are the light of the world! a city built on a hill, not to be hidden. 15 They dont light a lamp and place it under a basket; but on a lampstand, and it provides light for everyone in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and may glorify your heavenly Father. 17 Dont suppose that I have come to destroy* the Law or the prophets; I havent come to destroy them, but to *cause them to abound* [4134]. 18 Assuredly, I tell you, that until heaven and earth arrives* [1], not one yoth [2] or one vowel point* [3] will pass away [4] from the Law, until everything *comes into existence* [5]. 19 So whoever breaks one of the smallest commandments *and teaches it as doctrine* [1321] to men, will be called small in the Kingdom of Heaven; but everyone who observes and teaches them, will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 For I tell you, that unless your righteousness abounds more than that of the Law professors and Pharisees, you wont enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. 21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients, “Dont murder*: and everyone who murders, is subject to judgment”. 22 But I tell you, “Everyone who is angry with his brother rashly, is subject to judgment; and everyone who says to his brother, ‘Raka’?! is subject to the council; and everyone who says, ‘Fool’ is subject to hell fire”. 23 So if you bring your oblation to the altar, and while there remember that your brother has some offence against you, 24 leave your oblation there before the altar, and first go and be reconciled with your brother; and then come and present your oblation. 25 Be in agreement with your prosecutor immediately while on the way with him; because the prosecutor will deliver you over to the judge, and the judge will deliver you over to the sheriff, and you will end up in prison. 26 It is certain that you wont come out of there until you have paid the last quadrans*. 27 You have heard that it has been said, “Dont commit adultery”. 28 But I tell you, “Whoever gazes on a woman with lust, at once commits adultery with her in his mind. 29 So if your right eye *offends you*, pluck it out, and throw it away from you; because it is better for you that your one member perish, than that your whole body falls into Gehenna*. 30 If your right hand *offends you*, cut it off, and throw it from you; because it is better for you that one of your members perish, than that your whole body fall into Gehenna”. 31 It has been said, “If a man will put away his wife, he must give her a bill of divorce”. 32 But I tell you, “Whoever puts away his wife, except for the offence of illicit sex, causes her to commit adultery; and he who takes the divorced woman, commits adultery”. 33 Again, you have heard that it has been said to the ancients, “Dont be false in your oaths; but you’ll perform yours oaths to the Yehovah”. 34 But I tell you, “Dont swear at all, not by heaven; for it is the throne of Yehovah; 35 and not by the earth, for it is the footstool under His feet; and likewise not by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 Moreover, dont swear by your head, for you cant make one hair on it either black or white. 37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’; and your ‘No’ be ‘No’; for whatever is beyond these proceeds from evil. 38 You have heard that it has been said, “An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth”. 39 But I tell you, “Dont resist evil; but if a person strikes you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If someone wants to sue you and take away your coat, give him your coat also. 41 Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give something when someone begs from you; and whoever demands to borrow from you, dont deny him”. 43 You have heard that it has been said, “You should love your neighbor, and hate your enemy”. 44 But I tell you, “Love your enemies; and bless the one who curses you; and do good to the one who hates you; and pray for those who lead you in bonds, and who persecute you; 45 so that you will be the children of your heavenly Father, who causes His sun to rise on the good and on the bad, and sends His rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous”. 46 For, if you love those who love you, what compensation* do you have? Dont even the tax extractors do that? 47 If you only greet your brethren, what are you doing that isnt commonplace? Dont even tax extractors do that? 48 So become* perfect;just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

[2] “Yoth” is the smallest letter in both the Aramaic and Hebrew alphabets. Scriptural Greek has no small letters.
[3] “Point” is how the (Aramaic) Etheridge version renders this; as in a vowel point, serif or even a dot.inaname.htm">Y[4] The primary usage of “parerchomai” means to “pass away”. It’s appears to be a play on the other usage of the word in the same verse.inaname.htm">Y[5] The primary meaning of “ginomai”, (Strong’s 1096), means “to come into existence”, it can also mean, “appear in history”.
Matthew 6: Be cautious with your charity, not to give in the presence of others, so that you can be seen by them; otherwise, you’ll have no compensation* from your heavenly Father. 2 So when you give alms, dont sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, to receive their praise. Most certainly, they have gotten their compensation*. 3 But you, when doing charitable acts, dont let your left hand know what your right hand does. 4 Give your donations in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will compensate* you openly. 5 When you pray, dont be like the hypocrites who are fond of standing up in the synagogues and on street corners, praying, so that they can be seen by other people. Most certainly, they have gotten their compensation*. 6 But you, when you pray, enter into your closet and close the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will compensate* [5316] you openly. 7 When you pray, dont *use tedious and wordy poems* [945] like heathens; for they expect to be heard for their abundance of words. 8 So dont be like them; for your Father knows what you need, even before you ask Him. 9 So *you should* pray in this manner: “Our Father who is* in heaven, Your name is hallowed. 10 May Your Kingdom arrive; and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, 11 Give us sufficient bread for today: 12 Disregard* [575] our debts, as we disregard those of our debtors. 13 Dont bring us into trial*, but deliver us from evil; for Yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the praise, forever and ever, Amen”. 14 For if you disregard* [863] the faults of men, your heavenly Father will also *disregard and acquit* [863] yours. 15 But if you dont disregard* men’s faults, your Father wont *disregard and acquit* your faults. 16 When you fast, dont appear to be sad like the hypocrites. For they distort their faces, so that they will be seen by others to fast. Most certainly, they have received their compensation*. 17 But when you fast, wash your face, and anoint your head, 18 so that you wont appear to others to be fasting, but by your Father, tho He is hidden from you still sees what you do in secret, and will compensate* you. 19 Dont lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust spoil them, and where thieves dig thru and steal them. 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where no moths and no rust can spoil them, and no thieves dig thru nor steal them. 21 For where your treasure is, is where your passion is. 22 The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will glow. 23 But if your eye is diseased, your whole body will be dark. So if the light in you turns to darkness, how great your darkness will be! 24 No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will honor the one and neglect the other. You cant serve Yehovah and mammon. 25 So I tell you, “Dont be anxious about your life, what you’ll eat, and what you’ll drink; nor about your body, how you’ll clothe yourselves. Isnt life more important than food, and the body than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of heaven that dont sow, and dont reap, and dont gather into storehouses, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Arent you more important than they? 27 Which of you, by being anxious, can add to his height a cubit”? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the wildflowers, the way they grow. They dont become exhausted and they dont spin clothing. 29 Yet I tell you, that not even Solomon in all his glory, was arrayed like one of them. 30 If Yehovah clothes the grass of the field, that exists today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, wont He clothe you much more, you small in faith? 31 So dont worry or say, “What will we eat”?, or “what will we drink”?; or “I dont have anything to wear”. 32 For, these are the things that the people of the world pursue. Your Father, who is in heaven, knows that you need all of these things. 33 But first strive for the Kingdom of Yehovah, and His righteousness, and all of these things will be given to you. 34 So dont be stressed about tomorrow, for tomorrow has its own problems. Every day has it’s own troubles.
Matthew 7: Dont condemn*, so that you wont be condemned*. 2 For with the same judgment that you judge, you’ll be judged; and by the same measure that you measure, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, and not consider the beam that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, “Allow me to pluck the straw from your eye; and look, a beam is in your own eye”. 5 You hypocrite, first pluck the beam from your own eye, and then you’ll see clearly, to pluck the straw out of your brother’s eye! 6 Dont *hang earrings on dogs*; and dont cast your pearls before swine; because they will tread them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. 7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you’ll find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For, everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks, finds; and to the one who finds, it will be opened. 9 For who is there among you, if his son asks for bread, will hand him a stone? 10 Or if he asks him for a fish, will hand him a serpent? 11 If you then, being fallible*, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask Him? 12 Whatever you would like for men to do to you, you should also do to them, for this summarizes the Law and the Prophets. 13 Enter thru the narrow door, for the door is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter it. 14 How narrow is the door and troublesome* is the road that leads to life, and few *search it out* [2147]! 15 Beware of Pseudoprophets; who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are extortioning* [5578] wolves. 16 By their fruit you’ll know them. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cant bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesnt bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So by their fruit you’ll know them. 21 Not everyone who merely calls to Me, “Master, Master”, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; rather those who do the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, “Master, Master, havent we prophesied in Your name and in Your name cast out demons and in Your name done many wonders*”? 23 Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you. Depart from me, you Lawbreakers* [458]”. 24 So everyone who hears these teachings, and does them, will be like a wise man one who built his house on a rock. 25 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and beat on that house; and it didnt fall*, for its foundations were laid on a rock. 26 Anyone who hears My teachings, and doesnt do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and beat on the house, and it fell; and the ruin was great. 28 So when Yeshua had finished these teachings, the crowds were astonished at His doctrine* [1322]: 29 for He taught them as one having authority; and not as the Law professors and Pharisees. See why this rendering is far better. Keyword “earrings”.
Matthew 8: As He came down from the mountain, great crowds gathered around Him. 2 A leper came and worshipped Him, and said, “Master, if You want to You can make me clean”. 3 Yeshua reached out His hand, touched him, and said, “I want to; be clean”. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 Yeshua told him, “See that you tell no one of this, but go and show yourself to the priests, and present an oblation as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them”. 5 When Yeshua entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, and implored Him: 6 “Master, my child lies at home and is paralyzed, and in terrible pain”. 7 Yeshua told him, “I will come and heal him”. 8 The centurion replied, “Master, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof; but only say the word, and my child will be healed. 9 For I am also a man under authority, and there are soldiers under my control, and I say to this one, ‘Go’, and he goes; and to another, ‘Come’, and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this’, and he does it”. 10 When Yeshua heard this, He was amazed; and He told those walking with Him, “Most certainly, I havent found faith like this even in Israel. 11 I say to you, that many will come from the east, and from the west, and will be seated with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven; 12 but the children of the Kingdom will go out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and grinding of teeth”. 13 Yeshua said to the centurion. “Go; it is as you have believed”. His child was cured in that same hour. 14 Yeshua came to the house of Simon and saw his wife’s mother lying down, sick with a fever. 15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her and she arose and served them. 16 When it was evening, they brought many demoniacs before Him; and He expelled their demons by a command, and healed all of those who were diseased: 17 that it would be fulfilled as the prophet Isaiah had said, “He will bear our sorrows, and He will take our weaknesses on Himself”. 18 When Yeshua saw the great crouds, around Him, He ordered that they should go to the *crossing place*. 19 A Law professor came and told him, “Rabbi, I will follow You to the place where You go”. 20 Yeshua told him, “For foxes there are holes, and for the birds of heaven there are nests, but for the Son of man, there is nowhere* to rest His head. 21 Another of His disciples told Him, “Master, allow me first to go and bury my father”. 22 But Yeshua told him, “Follow Me, and let the dead to bury their dead”. 23 When Yeshua entered the ship, His disciples embarked with Him. 24 Then, a great storm* arose at sea, so that the vessel was covered by the waves. But Yeshua was asleep: 25 and His disciples came to awaken Him, and told him, “Master, deliver us; we are perishing”! 26 Yeshua told them, “Why are you afraid, you small in faith”! Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the sea; and there was great tranquillity. 27 The men were amazed; and they asked, “What a man is this, to whom the winds and the sea are obedient”! 28 When Yeshua arrived at the farther shore, in the country of the Gadarenes, there two demon possessed people met Him, who came out from the tombs, very furious, so that no one could pass that way. 29 They cried out, “What have we to do with You? Yeshua, Son of Yehovah. Have You come here to torment us before the appointed time? 30 At a distance from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. 31 The demons begged Him, and said, “If You cast us out, allow us to go into the herd of swine”. 32 Yeshua told them, “Go”. And immediately they came out, and entered into the swine, and the whole herd ran straight to a precipice and plunged into the sea, and perished in the waters. 33 The herdsmen fled, and entered the city, telling everything that had happened, particularly about the demon possessed men. 34 Everyone in the city came out to meet Yeshua; and when they saw Him, they urged Him to leave their region.
Matthew 9: He boarded the ship, and passed over and came to His own city. 2 They brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a bed. Yeshua saw their faith, and said to the paralytic, “Take courage, My son; your sins are forgiven”. 3 Some of the Law professors said among themselves, “This man blasphemes*”. 4 But Yeshua knew their thoughts; and He asked them, “Why do you think evil things to yourselves”? 5 For, which is the easier, to say, “Your sins are forgiven”; or to say, “Arise and walk”? 6 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, He said to the paralytic, “Arise, pick up your cot, and go home”. 7 He got up and went home. 8 When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck, and they praised Yehovah, who had given authority like this to men. 9 As Yeshua passed on from there, He saw a man sitting in the *tax office*, whose name was Matthew. He told him, “Follow Me”, and he arose and followed Him. 10 As they were residing in a house, many tax extractors and sinners visited as guests* with Yeshua and His disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this they said to His disciples, “Why does your Rabbi eat with tax extractors and sinners”? 12 When Yeshua heard it, He told them, “Those who are healthy have no need of a physician, rather those who are very sick. 13 Go and learn what this means, “I require compassion, and not a sacrifice”! For I didnt come to call the righteous, but the sinful. 14 Then John’s disciples came to Him, and asked, “Why do we and the Pharisees frequently fast but Your disciples dont fast? 15 Yeshua asked them, “Can the groomsmen* [5207] of the bridal chamber fast, so long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast”. 16 No one puts a piece of new cloth onto an old garment because the patch will pull off, tearing the garment, and the rip becomes greater. 17 They dont put new wine into old wineskins because the wine skins will burst, the wine spills out, and the wineskins are ruined. Rather, they put new wine into new wineskins and they are both preserved. 18 While He was still having discussions with them, a certain ruler came close, worshipped Him and said, “My daughter is already dead, but come lay Your hand on her, and she will live”. 19 Yeshua rose up, and His disciples; and they followed Him. 20 Then, a woman whose blood had flowed fourteen years, came up behind Him, and touched the fringe of His clothing: 21 for she had told herself, “If I can only touch His clothing, I will be cured”. 22 Yeshua turned around and looked at her, and told her, “Take courage, My daughter, your faith has given you life. The woman was cured from that very hour”. 23 Yeshua came to the house of the ruler, and He saw pipers there, and *noisy crouds*. 24 He told them, “clear out, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping”. They scoffed at Him. 25 When He had cleared the crowds, He entered, and took her by the hand, and the girl rose up. 26 The fame of this occurrence spread thruout the land. 27 When Yeshua had passed from there, two blind men followed Him, and said, “Have mercy on us, Son of David”! 28 When He entered a house, those blind men approached Him, and Yeshua told them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this”? They told him, “Yes Master”. 29 So He touched their eyes, and said, “As you have believed, so it will be for you”. 30 Immediately* their eyes were opened. Yeshua warned them, “See that no one knows about it. 31 But they went out and spread the news of it thru all the land. 32 As Yeshua went out, they brought to Him a dumb man who was demon possessed. 33 When the demon had left, the dumb man conversed. The crowds wondered, and said, “This has never been seen in Israel”! 34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the Prince of demons that He casts out demons”. 35 Yeshua traveled over all the cities and the villages, and He taught in their synagogues, and proclaimed the *Good News* of the Kingdom, and healed all diseases and all pains. 36 When Yeshua looked on the crowds, He pitied them; because they were wearied and dispersed, like sheep who have no shepherd. 37 He told His disciples, “The harvest is great, and the laborers few”. 38 So entreat Yehovah who harvests, that He would send laborers into His harvest.
Matthew 10: He called His twelve disciples together, and gave them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out, and to heal every pain and disease. 2 The names of the twelve emissaries* are these: The first of them, Simon who is called Cephas, Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, John his brother; 3 Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew the publican; James the son of Alpheus, Lebbeus who was called Thaddeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, he who betrayed Him. 5 Yeshua sent out these twelve, and He commanded them: “Dont go to the other ethnicities; and dont enter the cities of the Samaritans. 6 But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 As you travel, herald, “The Kingdom of Heaven has approached”. 8 Heal the sick; cleanse the leprous; raise the dead; and cast out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. 9 Dont acquire gold, or silver, or brass in your money belts; 10 nor a wallet for the journey; nor two coats, nor shoes, nor a staff. Yet the laborer is certainly worthy of his food. 11 Whatever city or town you enter, enquire who is worthy there; and stay there until you leave. 12 When you enter a house, visit with the household. 13 If the house is worthy, your tranquility will come on it; but if it isnt worthy, your tranquility will return to you. 14 Whoever wont receive you, nor hear your teachings, when you leave that house or that town, shake the dust from off of your feet. 15 Most certainly, it will be more comfortable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. 16 Look, I send you out as sheep among wolves. So be as wise as serpents, and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to the tribunals, and will scourge you in their synagogues. 18 They will bring you before governors and kings, because of Me, for a testimony to them and to all nations. 19 When they apprehend you, dont be anxious about how or what you’ll say; for it will be given to you in that hour what to say. 20 For it wont be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking in you. 21 Brothers will betray brothers to death, and fathers their sons; children will rise up against their parents, and have them put to death. 22 You’ll be hated by everyone because of My name. But he who endures to the end will *be saved*. 23 When they persecute you in one city, flee to another. I tell you with certainly that you wont have *finished your mission* [5505] in the cities of the house of Israel, before the Son of man *appears in public* [2064]. 24 No disciple is better than his rabbi; nor a servant, than his master. 25 It is sufficient for the disciple, that he be as his rabbi; and the servant, as his master. If they call the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more the children of his family? 26 So dont be afraid of them; for there is nothing covered up, that wont be exposed; nor concealed, that wont become known. 27 Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak it in the light; and what you have heard in your ears, proclaim on the house tops. 28 Dont be afraid of those who kill the body, but cant kill the soul; but rather, be afraid of Him who can destroy both life and body in Gehenna*. 29 Arent two sparrows sold for an assarium? Yet one of them doesnt fall to the ground without your Father’s will. 30 As for you, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So dont be afraid; you are more important than many sparrows. 32 Whoever confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My heavenly Father. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My heavenly Father. 34 Dont think that I came to sow harmony on the earth: I havent come to sow harmony, but conflict. 35 For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 A man’s enemies will be the members of his household. 37 He who defers to his father or mother rather than to Me, isnt worthy of Me; and he who loves his son or daughter more than Me, isnt worthy of Me: 38 and he who doesnt bear his cross and follow Me, isnt worthy of Me. 39 He who preserves his life, will lose it; and he who loses his life for My sake, will preserve it. 40 He who entertains you, entertains Me; and he who entertains Me, entertains the One who sent Me. 41 He who entertains a prophet in the name of a prophet, will receive a prophet’s compensation*; and he who entertains a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 Whoever will give one of these little ones so much as a cup of cold water to drink, in the name of a disciple—I tell you that he certainly wont lose his compensation*.
