5 He was given a mouth to make ‘bold’ and blasphemous statements, and he was given authority to operate for forty-two months. 6 He opened his mouth in blasphemy against Yehovah, blaspheming His name and His tabernacle and those who live in Heaven. 7 He was given authority over the various tribes and ethnicities and languages and nations and he was ‘allowed’ to wage war against the kadishea [saints], and to ‘conquer’ them. 8 Everyone who lives on earth, whose names are not [not ‘were not’] written in the Book of Life of the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world will worship Him.
9 Anyone ‘willing to listen’ should listen. 10 If anyone is ‘destined’ for captivity, they will go into captivity. And if anyone is destined to be killed with a sword, they must be killed with a sword. This is where the perseverance and the faith of the kadishea is tested.
11 I saw another predatory beast rising out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb but he spoke like the Dragon. 12 He exercised all the authority of the first predatory beast, and he made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first predatory beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He performed ‘spectacular’ signs, even causing fire to come down from the sky to earth in front of people, 14 He beguiled those who live on earth into erecting an icon [Gr. eikon] of the predatory beast who had recovered from the sword wound. 15 He [the second beast] was allowed to give life to the icon of the [first] predatory beast so that the icon of the beast could even speak and cause anyone who wouldn’t worship the icon of the predatory beast to be killed. 16 He ‘forced’ everyone, great and small, rich and poor, slave and free, to accept a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that no one could buy or sell anything unless they had the mark [insignia] naming the predatory beast or the number ‘representing’ his name.
18 Wisdom is needed here. Someone with intelligence should calculate the number of the predatory beast, because it is the number of a man, and the number ‘totals’ 666.
Murdock actually relocated this phrase and made an 18th verse in chapter 12. (The Etheridge version skews all of the verse numbers.) The Greek adds: “because of the signs that he was given to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth.”
6 Then I saw another messenger flying thru the sky, who with blood had the everlasting Good News to proclaim to everyone living on earth—every nation, tribe, language and people . 7 He said with a loud voice, “Worship Yehovah and praise Him, because His Day of Judgment has arrived. Worship the One who made the skies and the earth, the sea and springs of water.”
9 Another messenger, a third one, followed them and said in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the predatory beast and his icon and accepts his mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they will also drink the wine of Yehovah’s anger that is poured out undiluted into the cup of His anger, and will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the messengers and the throne . 11 The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the predatory beast and his icon.” 12 ‘This calls for’ patient endurance by the kadishea, who preserve [obey, guard] the Commandments of Yehovah AND the faith of Yeshua.
13 I heard a voice from the sky say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on!” “Yes”, says the spirit. “They’ll rest from their hard work, and the record of their deeds will accompany them.”
14 Then I looked, and there was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was Someone who looked like the Human Son with a gold crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand! 15 Then another messenger came out of the Temple and called with a loud voice to the One seated on the cloud . 16 He swung his sickle over the earth and the earth was harvested.
17 Then another messenger came out of the Temple in the sky , also having a sharp sickle. 18 Yet another messenger came from the altar, who had authority over fire. He called out loudly to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vineyard of the earth, because the grapes of the earth are ripe.” 19 The messenger swung his sickle across the earth and harvested the vintage of the earth and threw the grapes into the winepress of the great Yehovah’s wrath. 20 The grapes were trampled in the winepress outside of the city, and blood flowed up to the horses’ bridles for 1,600 stadia.
The vast majority of the Greek texts, the ones the KJV is based on, delete Yeshua’s name from being on our foreheads! Compare to Revelation 3:12. The Greek omits “who with blood”. Note the timing. Anyone belligerently worshiping the beast or accepting his mark AFTER the Good News is announced to “everyone living on earth” (v.6), and during Judgment Day (v.7), and AS Babylon is falling (vs.8-9) is in big trouble. The Greek says “Lamb” instead of “throne”. The comment “day or night” indicates that the location is “above ground”. The belligerent will suffer continually until the beast that they worship is thrown into the bottomless pit where he can’t be worshiped any longer. The Greek adds, “Take your sickle and harvest, because harvest time has come, the harvest of the earth is ripe.” Only the context differentiates the “sky” from “outer space” and from the “northern part of Heaven” where the Father and His Son have been residing. When New Jerusalem or “Heaven” comes to earth, this will change. John 14:23 is literal: “We will come to them”. The Aramaic is missing “outside of the city, and blood flowed”.
5 After this I looked and the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in the sky was opened. 6 The seven messengers who had the seven plagues came out of the Temple wearing clean ‘bright’ linen and wearing vests around their chests with gold ‘thread’ [Exodus 39:2-3] . 7 One of the four living Beings gave the seven messengers seven gold bowls full of the rage of Yehovah, who lives forever and ever. 8 The Temple was filled with smoke from the magnificence of Yehovah and from His power, and no one could enter the Temple until the seven plagues of the seven messengers were finished.
The “SEA of GLASS”, described as “like crystal” in Revelation 4:6, is the same as the “icy crystal” “firmament” (“vault of heaven supporting WATERS above”) of Ezekiel 1:22. The last line of Deuteronomy 32, the Song of Moses, says, “Celebrate, you nations, with His people, because He’ll avenge the blood of His servants. He’ll render vengeance to His adversaries, and make atonement for His land and for His people.” As in Greek, the Aramaic word for “age” can also be translated as “world”.
2 The first one went and poured his bowl on the earth, and malignant and painful ulcers appeared on the people who had the mark of the predatory beast and who worshiped his icon.
3 The second messenger poured his bowl on the sea, and it became like the blood of a dead person, and every living creature [soul] in the sea died.
4 The third messenger poured his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood. 5 Then I heard the messenger in charge of the water say, “You are the righteous One, who is and who was, because You’ve brought these judgments. 6 They shed the blood of the kadishea and the prophets, and now You’ve given them blood to drink, because they deserve it.” 7 I heard voices from the altar saying, “Yes, Master Yehovah the Sovereign, Your judgments are true and righteous.”
8 The fourth messenger poured his bowl on the sun, causing it to scorch people with fire. 9 People were scorched with ‘fierce’ heat, and they blasphemed the name of Yehovah, who had control over the plagues, but they didn’t change their ways and praise Him.
10 The fifth messenger poured his bowl on the throne of the predatory beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness, and people gnawed their tongues in anguish. 11 They blasphemed the Aloha of Heaven because of their pain and ulcers, but didn’t change their wicked behavior.
12 The sixth messenger poured his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water dried up to prepare a passage for the kings of the east. 13 I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming from the mouth of the Dragon and from the mouth of the predatory beast and from the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are the spirits of demons who perform signs, going out to all the kings of the inhabited world, to gather them to the battle of the great [Judgment] day of Yehovah Almighty .
16 They [Aramaic] [the demons, see Gill’s] gathered them together in a place that is called Armageddon in Hebrew.
17 The seventh messenger poured his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came from the Temple, from the throne, that said, “It’s finished!” 18 There was lightning and thunder and voices, and there was a ‘powerful’ earthquake like nothing that has ever happened since people have inhabited the earth, such a widespread earthquake, and such magnitude! 19 The great city was split into three parts. The ‘premier’ city of the nations fell. Yehovah remembered to ‘make’ Babylon the Great drink from the cup filled with the wine of His furious wrath. 20 Every island vanished, and the mountains disappeared. 21 ‘Huge’ hailstones a talent in weight [55 pounds] fell from the sky onto people, and they blasphemed Yehovah because the plague of hail was so ‘severe’.
The Greek adds “from the temple”. Notice the context of verses 13 & 14. The beast and the false prophet and demons are preconditioning the world into thinking that the true coming Messiah will be “Antichrist”. Undoubtedly the beast and the false prophet will masquerade as the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11. This explains why He is “welcomed” by the combined military might of the entire world in Zechariah 14.
3 He led me in the spirit realm into the wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a red predatory beast that was ‘covered’ with names of blasphemy. It had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was wearing purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold, precious stones and pearls, and she had a gold cup in her hand that was full of detestable idolatrous things, and the filthiness of her prostitution [Gr. porneia] that she polluted the earth with. 5 Written on her forehead was the ‘title’: “Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes, and all the foul idolatrous things [abominations] in the world.” 6 I saw that the woman was intoxicated with the blood of the kadishea, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yeshua. When I saw her, I was amazed, greatly amazed. 7 The messenger asked me, “Why are you amazed? I’ll tell you the mystery of the woman and of the predatory beast with seven heads and the ten horns that carries her. 8 The predatory beast that you saw who was, and is not, is ‘destined’ to reascend before long from the bottomless pit and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth will be amazed (everyone whose names are not written in the Book of Life that was written from the creation of the world), when they see the predatory beast that was, and is not, and yet is coming.
9 Here is ‘an explanation’ for someone who is wise. Those seven heads ‘represent’ the seven mountains that the woman sits on. 10 There are seven kings. Five of them have fallen, one exists now [about 95 AD], and the other hasn’t come yet, but when he comes, he will only remain for a little while. 11 The predatory beast that was, and is no longer, is an eighth king. He belongs with the seven, and is headed for destruction.
12 The ten horns that you saw ‘represent’ ten kings who haven’t taken royal power yet, but they take authority as kings with the predatory beast for one hour [or season]. 13 They have one purpose—they’ll give their power and jurisdiction to the predatory beast. 14 They’ll wage war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, because He is Master of masters and King of kings, and those with Him were invited, chose to participate, and remained faithful.”
15 He told me, “The flood [or water] that you saw, where the prostitute sits ‘represents’ nations, and crowds of people of various ethnicities [Gr. ethnos] and languages. 16 The ten horns that you saw and the predatory beast will hate the prostitute. They will strip her naked, eat her flesh, and ‘set’ her remains on fire. 17 Yehovah has given them the idea to carry out His intentions by acting in unity, and giving their kingdom to the predatory beast until Yehovah’s prophetic words are carried out. 18 The woman who you saw ‘represents’ the ‘exalted’ city that holds dominion over the kings of the earth.”
The Greek seemingly says “were not”, as virtually every translation from it says. The Aramaic says “are not”. But names are in the Book of Life unless they are blotted out. Revelation 3:5; Exodus 32:33; Deuteronomy 29:20. Weymouth may be the only translator who understood this verse—that it doesn’t contradict the other verses about the Book of Life. His version says, “whose names are not in the Book of Life, having been recorded there ever since the creation of the world.” The Weymouth was freshly translated from the Greek in the nineteenth century, without reference to previous versions. It wasn’t simply a revision of the Tyndale, like virtually every other Greek translation appears to be.
4 I heard another voice from the sky saying, “Come out of her My people so that you don’t participate in her sins, and don’t ‘suffer from’ her plagues. 5 Her sins have ‘piled’ up to Heaven, and Yehovah has remembered her wicked behavior. 6 Pay her back the way she has paid others, ‘only’ repay her double, proportionate to her deeds. Pour her a double from her bowl of Cocktail [lit: mixture]. 7 Give her the same degree of torture and sorrow as she gave herself promiscuity. Because she said to herself, ‘I sit enthroned as queen, I’m no widow and I’ll never be grieved.’ 8 So in one day her catastrophes will come—death, mourning and famine. She’ll be burned to the ground, because our Master Yehovah who judges her is valiant.
9 The kings of the earth who committed prostitution with her, reveling in her luxury, will cry and mourn and wail over her when they see the plumes of smoke of her burning 10 as they stand in the distance, frightened by the Refiner’s fire saying, ‘How terrible, how terrible it is for the great and mighty city of Babylon! Your crisis [Gr. krisis] appeared in a single hour!’
11 The merchants of the earth will mourn over her, since no one can buy their cargo anymore— 12 no more cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk and scarlet cloth, various aromatic woods, articles made of ivory, no more articles made of very costly wood, brass, iron, marble, 13 cinnamon, spikenard, aromatics, ointments, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, oxen, sheep, horses, chariots, slaves and human bodies [souls (spare parts?)].
14 The fruit that you craved has abandoned you. Everything delicious and splendid has died, and the merchants will never find them again. 15 The merchants who had become rich from her will stand in the distance, terrorized by her torment, crying and mourning, 16 and saying, ‘How terrible, how terrible it is for the great city! She wore fine linen, purple and scarlet stuff, and gilded with gold, gemstones and pearls, 17 and in one hour all of this wealth has been destroyed’ . Every captain and every navigator sailing anywhere, mariners, anyone making their living from the sea stood in the distance. 18 When they saw the plumes of smoke rising from her flames, they cried, ‘What other city is like this great city?’ 19 They threw dust on their heads, and they wept and mourned as they cried out, ‘How terrible, how terrible it is for that great city where everyone who had ships in the sea became rich from her wealth, because in a single hour she has been laid waste!’ 20 Celebrate over her, Heaven, and you messengers and envoys and prophets, because Yehovah has condemned her for you!”
21 A messenger picked up a stone like a giant millstone, and threw it into the sea and said, “This is how violently the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, and it will never be found again. 22 The ‘sound’ of musicians playing harps and flutes and trumpets will never be heard in you again. No craftsman of any trade will ever be found in you again. 23 The light of a lamp will never shine in you again, nor will the voices of a bride or groom be heard in you. Your merchants were the most influential men on earth, and every nation was seduced by your sorcery. 24 The blood of prophets, the kadishea, and everyone who has been murdered on the earth was found in her.”
This is as literal as the rest of the book. It means flea from the territory of the ten kings—or die. The last time that Israel was conquered by Babylonians, was it by figurative Babylonians or literal ones? Murdock either arbitrarily or accidentally put part of v.17 in v.16, against the traditional universal placement. Lamsa coincidentally did the same thing in 1933. The Greek adds: “The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again”.
4 The twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped Yehovah, who was seated on the throne saying, “Aw-main! Hallelujah”!
5 A voice came from the throne that said, “Praise our Aloha, all of His servants, and everyone who fears Him, small and great.”
6 Then I heard what ‘sounded like’ a huge gathering of ordinary people, a ‘sound’ reminiscent of raging water and a voice like ‘booming’ thunder shouting, “Hallelujah! Our Master Yehovah the Sovereign reigns. 7 Let’s rejoice and be exuberant and praise Him, because the Marriage Banquet of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. 8 She was given fine linen clothing to wear, bright and pure, because fine linen represents the righteousness of the kadishea.
9 He told me, “Write this, ‘Those who are called to the Marriage Banquet of the Lamb are blessed.’” Then he told me, “These are the true words of Yehovah.”
10 I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said, “Don’t do that! I’m a fellow servant, I’m your brother who also adheres to THE TESTIMONY OF YESHUA [His ‘written statements’]. Worship Yehovah, because THE TESTIMONY OF YESHUA is spirit inspired utterances [or ‘the spirit of prophecy’].”
11 I saw the sky open up, and a white horse appeared, and its rider is named Faithful and True. He judges righteously and wages war. 12 His eyes were like flames of fire, and on His head were many gold coronets [crowns without arches] with names inscribed on them , but the name written on Him had been unknown in the past except to Him. 13 He was arrayed with a vest sprinkled with blood, and His name is called the Word of Aloha. 14 The armies of Heaven followed Him on white horses arrayed in fine linen, pure and shining white. 15 A sharp two-edged sword came from His mouth, and with it He could strike down the nations. He’ll rule the nations with a royal scepter of iron, and He’ll tread the winepress of the fierce anger of Yehovah the Sovereign. 16 He has written on His robe and on His thigh the title: “KING OF KINGS AND SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS.”
17 I saw a messenger standing in front of the sun, and he shouted to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather for the great supper of Yehovah, 18 so that you can eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of captains of thousands, the flesh of valiant men, the flesh of horses and their riders, the flesh of everyone both free and slave, those of little status and the highly esteemed.”
19 I saw the predatory beast and the kings of the earth and their warriors. They had gathered to wage war with the One who sat on the white horse and with His army. 20 The predatory beast was captured along with the false prophet who performed miraculous signs ‘on his behalf’. By these signs he deceived those who had accepted the mark of the predatory beast and who worshiped his icon. They were both cast as still breathing mortals into the lake of fire ablaze with sulfur. 21 The rest were killed by the sword of the One riding on the horse, by the sword that came from His mouth, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
The Greek doesn’t mention that names were inscribed on all of the diadems. Tense-Perfect: “describes an action which is viewed as having been completed in the past” (as in the YLT). Passive voice. See Revelation 14:1. The Greek says dipped (bapto, as in baptize—totally immersed) instead of sprinkled. A prototype of blood on garments, such as lamb’s blood from the wave sheaf offering representing Yeshua returning to His Father after the resurrection in Leviticus 8:29-30 is sprinkled, not dipped. Was this a deliberate move to break the Lamb/Wave Sheaf connection?
4 I saw thrones, and those who were seated on them, and judicial authority was given to them, and I saw the bodies of those who were beheaded for THE TESTIMONY OF YESHUA [the ‘NT’] and for THE WORD OF ALOHA [the ‘OT’]. These are the ones who hadn’t worshiped the predatory beast or his icon, nor had they accepted his mark on their forehead or on their hand. They lived and reigned with their Messiah during those thousand years. 5 This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and kadosh is anyone who has part in this first [or best] resurrection, over them the second death has no influence, but they’ll be priests of Yehovah and of His Messiah, and they’ll reign with Them during the thousand years.
7 When the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and go out to seduce the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and gather them for battle. Their number is like grains of sand in the sea. 9 They rose up over the broad expanse of the earth, and then encircled the kadosh assembly of the kadishea, the greatly loved city. And fire came down from Yehovah out of Heaven and consumed them. 10 The Accuser who seduced them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the predatory beast and the false prophet were thrown. They’ll be tormented day and night for a period of time, an age .
11 Then I saw a ‘large’ white throne, and the One who was sitting on it. The earth and sky fled for safety , and their location [or place] wasn’t found. 12 I saw the dead, those of lower status [small] and the highly esteemed [great] standing in front of the throne, and the small books were opened , including the small Book of Life. The dead were judged by the things that were written in the small books, based on what they had done [their ‘works’]. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Sheol gave up the dead in them. Everyone was judged based on what they had done [their ‘works’]. 14 Death and Sheol [Ar/Heb meaning grave] were thrown into the lake of fire. The second death is the lake of fire. 15 If after a thoro search, anyone’s name wasn’t found written in the Book of Life, they were thrown into the lake of fire.
The words “who deceived the whole world” was omitted from the Greek. This chapter offers a rare glimpse of events of the seventh millennium, a period of time noted for both beginning (Ezekiel 38) and ending with a Satanic insurrection. This reads the same as the other Revelation references in Greek and Aramaic: “the Testimony of Yeshua” (Jesus). The KJV and quite a few other versions arbitrarily use somewhat different wording here. The words: “the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished”, aren’t in the Syriac and Aramaic manuscripts, or the earliest Greek manuscripts, such as the Codex Sinaitic and Codex Alexandrine. While these latter two have their share of omissions, they do predate the addition. The Lamsa version found here includes the added text, while my print version doesn’t. The timing is elaborated on more in Daniel 12:1-7. A secondary meaning for the Greek protos is “most important” or “best”. It isn’t necessarily first in time order. In the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:30), the harvest represents the resurrection, and the tares are burned before the wheat is put into the barn. “If we understand ‘they will be tormented’ to include the Beast and the False Prophet, we must explain the phrase ‘forever and ever’ (as it appears in most versions: eis tous aionas ton aionon). Literally, this means ‘to the ages of the ages,’ and would seem to imply perpetuity. However, we must be careful with the word aion. It’s range of meaning runs from ‘a space or period of time’ to ‘a lifetime’ to ‘an age’ to ‘eternity.’ As in all such cases, the context must give the sense.” Also, the primary literal meaning of “tormented” (“heurisko”) is: “1) to test (metals) by the touchstone, which is a black siliceous stone used to test the purity of gold or silver by the colour of the streak produced on it by rubbing it with either metal.” What happens if someone is thrown into a fire and they fail the test? If the covenant with 1,000 generations of humanity is honored, then we still need the earth intact: (Deuteronomy 7:9, Chronicles 16:15, Psalms 105:8). This happens in the time frame of Daniel 7:10, as the beasts are biting the dust (verses 11-12). The end of death is at the very beginning of the Everlasting Kingdom. Check the entire context of Isaiah 25, particularly v.8. Yet the wicked are excluded from this blessing.
5 The One who was seated on the throne said, “Look, I’m making everything new”. And He said, “Write this down, because these are the faithful and true words of Yehovah.”
6 Then He said to me, “I’m the Aleph and the Tau, the Beginning and the End. I’ll allow anyone who is thirsty to drink freely from the spring of living water. 7 Anyone who is victorious will inherit these things. I’ll be their Aloha and they’ll be My sons. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the sinful, the unclean, murderers, male prostitutes, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars ‘are destined for’ the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”
9 One of the seven messengers who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues [Gr. catastrophes] came to me and said, “Come, I’ll show you the bride , the Lamb’s wife.” 10 In the spirit realm he carried me to the top of a vast, lofty mountain, and he showed me the kadosh city of Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from Yehovah, 11 bringing with it the splendor of Yehovah. Her brilliance resembled a very precious gem, like a jasper stone, as transparent as crystal. 12 It had a very massive and high wall with twelve gates . The names of the twelve tribes of the descendants of Israel were inscribed on them. 13 There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the twelve names of the twelve envoys of the Lamb.
15 The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, its gates and its wall. 16 The city was laid out in a square, its length was the same as its width. And he measured the city with the rod at 12,000 stadia , and the length, width and height were all equal. 17 He measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, the human measurement that the messenger was using. 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city was made of pure gold, like transparent glass. 19 The foundations of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second lapis lazuli [sapphire], the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh carnelian, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate was a single pearl. The main street of the city was pure gold, like brilliant glass.
22 I didn’t see a Temple in it, because Yehovah Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city didn’t need the sun or the moon for enlightenment because Yehovah’s brightness enlightens it, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations that were rescued from destruction will ‘live’ in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring the splendor and wealth of the nations [the human family] into it. 25 Its gates won’t be shut during the day, and it’s never night [dark] there. 26 Notice! They will bring the splendor and honor of the human family [ethnos] into it. 27 Nothing unclean will ever enter it or anyone who performs idolatrous abominations or a liar—only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Small Book of Life .
This is the equivalent of the new earth that appeared after Yehovah sent a great flood “to destroy the earth” in Genesis 9:11. This has to be figurative, because the seas are well represented in the Everlasting Kingdom: Psalm 72:7-9; Isaiah 5:30; Isaiah 24:14-15; Isaiah 60:5; Jeremiah 31:35-36; Ezekiel 26:5 and 47:10,15; Habakkuk 2:14; Zephaniah 2:6-7; and Zechariah 14:8. Unfortunately many people believe that the New Heavens and New Earth don’t even arrive until after the thousand years! (See the time frame in Isaiah chapters 65 & 66.) The cessation of tears and death begins as soon as the Everlasting Kingdom is established! Check the entire context of Isaiah 25, particularly v.8. Yet the wicked are excluded from this blessing. 1 Corinthians 15:23-24 says, “but everyone in their order, Messiah was the firstfruit. Later, at His coming, those who are the Messiah’s [will be restored to life]. 24 Then the end of these events comes, when He’ll have handed over the Kingdom to Yehovah the Father, when every ruler and every government and every powerful force will have been overthrown”. Many assume that there is a 1,000 year gap between verse 23 and verse 24, assuming that it will take Yeshua 1,000 years to conquer the world. Have they read any prophecies? Zechariah 14 is a detailed account of the conquest of the world, it’s called the Day of Yehovah (the “Lord”). The earth will be “under His feet”, beginning at the Mount of Olives. Ezekiel 38 and 39 is another specific account of the conquest. Some postpone these chapters too. Consequently they must, for example, also think that it will take 1,000 years for Him to “make My kadosh name known in the midst of My people Israel” (Ezekiel 39:7) as well. Who is the “Messiah’s Bride?” No mention of “angels” in the Aramaic. The length of a stadia: a “place in which contests in running were held, the one who outstripped the rest and reached the goal first, receiving the prize. Courses of this description were found in most of the larger Greek cities, and were like that at Olympia, 600 Greek feet in length.” —OBGL “used of the Temple at Jerusalem, but only of the [kadosh] edifice (or temple) itself, consisting of the [Kadosh Place] and the [most Kadosh Place] (in classical Greek it is used of the temple or cell of the Temple, where the image of gold was placed which is distinguished from the whole enclosure).” —OBGL Not that the sun or moon will disappear. In fact Aloha swore that they wouldn’t disappear: Psalm 72:5 and Jeremiah 31:35-37. At a fair distance from the city it will come in handy. The Greek omits “of the nations”, presumably to denigrate the role of flesh and blood humans in the New Jerusalem. Notice that you don’t have to die to visit! Your name should be written in the the Book of Life right now!
6 He told me, “These words are faithful and true. And Yehovah, the Aloha of the spirit of the prophets has sent me, His messenger, to show to His servants the things that must of necessity come to pass quickly.
8 I, John, am the one who actually saw and heard these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the messenger who showed them to me. 9 But he told me, “Don’t do that! I serve the same Master, I’m your brother, a Friend of the Prophets and of those who obey the words of this small book. Worship Yehovah.”
10 Then he told me, “Don’t seal the words of this small book of prophecy, because the time is near. 11 Anyone who is unjust will continue to be unjust, anyone who is filthy will continue to be filthy, anyone who is righteous will continue to practice righteousness, and anyone who is kadosh will continue to be kadosh.
14 Blessed are those who obey His Commandments . They’ll have access to the Tree of Life, and be permitted to enter thru the gates into the city. 15 Outside of the city are dogs, sorcerers, sexual sinners, murderers, idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this small book [4a]: if anyone adds to them, Yehovah will ADD to them the catastrophes [plagues] that are described in this small book . 19 If anyone takes words out of the book containing this prophecy [4b], Yehovah will TAKE AWAY their destiny from the Tree of Life and from the kadosh city described in this small book.
20 The One who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I will come quickly.” Aw-main. Come Master Yeshua!
21 May the compassion of our Master Yeshua Messiah be with all the kadishea. Aw-main.
There are three other Greek words that imply a worse degree of wickedness than unjust. The others seem to be a permanent condition. The Wescott & Hort versions of Revelation (most modern versions) inexcusably substitutes “wash your robes” for “obey His Commandments”, unlike the Peshitta and the Majority text versions (the KJV “family”). See Matthew 19:16-19. You need to know what the “Morning Star” has to do with “Lucifer”! [4a,b] John repeatedly referred to “his” Book of Revelation as a little book. But “the book containing this prophecy” is the entire Testimony of Yeshua! They’ll actually experience the Day of Yehovah, (the Day of the Lord)!
End of the Revelation of Yeshua, as recorded by John, the Good News envoy. Praise Yehovah.
Compare the Testimony of Yeshua Version of this book with the 1851 Murdock or the 1849 Etheridge Versions of “The Testimony of Yeshua” (The ‘New Testament’).
