“I and My Father Are One”

Part 4, Isaiah thru Revelation:

Bible

Chapter 29, Part 4 Preview: (Part 1?) A controversy has raged for nearly two thousand years: “How can Jesus (actually Yeshua, off site) be God”? Many theories have been proposed over the centuries concerning the “nature” of Yeshua. These ideas are at extreme variance with the Scriptures concerning His identity and they are quite dangerous. Bible prophecy says that heresy [literally: sectarianism] would be an unbridled problem. It is not just the cults that are a problem tho they do provide very convenient “whipping boys” for more traditional deceivers. This four part sequel to The Origin of Heresy explains the “Nature of God” directly from the Scriptures in a way that harmonizes the passages that have baffled heretics for nearly two millennia.

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord [Yehovah’], “Behold, I [the Father] lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation [The Son, 1 Peter 2:4-8]. He who believes shall not act hastily. WEB

Isaiah 43:1-3 But now thus says [Yehovah] who created you [Yeshua: John 1:1-3], Jacob, and He who formed you, Israel: “Dont be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you. 3 For I am [Yehovah] your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.... WEB

In the next chapter “Yeshua” is still telling Isaiah about His Father, “the God of Israel”:

Isaiah 44:1-2 Then He brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary, which looks toward the east; and it was shut. 2 [Yehovah] said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, neither shall any man enter in by it; for [Yehovah], the God of Israel, has entered in by it; therefore it shall be shut. Unitarians count one here, I count two.

Isaiah 44:6-8 This is what [Yehovah], the King of Israel, AND His Redeemer, [Yehovah] of Armies, says: “I AM the first, and I AM the last; and besides Me there is no God. 7 Who is like Me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for Me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen. 8 Dont fear, neither be afraid. Havent I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed, there is not. I dont know any other Rock. WEB

Isaiah 45:9...15 Woe to him who strives with his Maker.... 11 Thus says [Yehovah], the Holy One of Israel, and his [the striver’s] Maker: “You ask Me about the things that are to come, concerning My sons [future members of God’s family!] and you command Me concerning the work of My hands! 12 I have made the earth, and created man on it. I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens; and I have commanded all their army. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will make straight all His ways [John 1:23]. He shall build My city [New Jerusalem: John 14:2], and he shall let My exiles go free [Second Exodus], not for price nor reward,” says [Yehovah] of Armies. They will go after you. They shall come over in chains; and they will bow down to you. They will make supplication to you: ‘Surely God is in you; and there is none else. There is no other god. 15 Most certainly you are a God who hid Yourself, God of Israel, the Savior.’ WEB

Every knee will bow to Yeshua!

Isaiah 45:22-24 Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I God, and there is no other. 23 By Myself have I sworn, the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness, and will not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24 They will say of Me, ‘There is righteousness and strength only in [Yehovah]. Philippians 2:10-11 ... that at the name of [Yeshua] every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that [Yeshua our Messiah is Master], to the glory of God the Father. WEB

Yeshua will re-marry Israel! See Who is the Bride of Christ?

Isaiah 54:4-6 Dont be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be confounded; for you shall not be disappointed: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood you shall remember no more. 5 For your Maker[s] [are] your Husband[s]; [Yehovah] of Armies is His name: and the Holy ONE of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall He be called. 6 For [Yehovah] has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God. It is only after the Great Tribulation that the Holy One of Israel (and Israel) will be universally known. The “afflictors” are dead but their sons are not:

Isaiah 60:14-16 The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you the City of [Yehovah], the Zion of the Holy One of Israel. 15 “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. 16 You shall also suck the milk of the nations, and shall nurse from royal breasts; and you shall know that I, [Yehovah], am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. I believe that for a brief period of time, God allowed Ezekiel to both see and hear the heavenly realm in much the same manner that God can see into our lives. Ezekiel is one more witness that we are literally made in the image or form of God.

Ezekiel 1:1, 26-28 Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.... 26 Above the expanse that was over their heads [of the four living creatures] was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above. 27 I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of His waist and upward; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around Him. 28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of [Yehovah]. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One that spoke. WEB

Daniel cited an excellent reference to both God beings!

Daniel 7:13-14 I saw the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like ‘a’ [the] SON OF MAN, and He came even to the ANCIENT OF DAYS, and they brought Him near before Him. 14 There was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. If Yeshua is not “God” then we have “no Savior!”

Yeshua is the God who was among us:

Matthew 1:23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son. They shall call His name Immanuel;” which is, being interpreted, “God with us”. WEB

The Magi set the right example in worshiping Yeshua:

Matthew 2:11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 They came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, His mother, and they fell down and worshiped Him. The only places that “winnowing fan” are found in the Scriptures are these two references to “Yeshua” winnowing out the chaff from among His people:

Jeremiah 15:7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children; I will destroy My people, since they do not return from their ways. NKJV

Matthew 3:11-17 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.... 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” NKJV

Let’s make three tents: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 6 For he didnt know what to say, for they were very afraid. 7 A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son. Many modern versions of the Scriptures have dropped “Christ” from this verse in Romans because it accurately equates Messiah with being God, in verse 12. However they inconsistently have it right in John 5:22 and 2 Corinthians 5:10.

Romans 9:5 ... of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Messiah came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. NKJV

Messiah = judge = God

Romans 14:10-12 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to Me every knee will bow. Yeshua is the creator of the universe. The coming Kingdom belongs to Him!

Philippians 2:5-11 Have this in your mind, which was also in [our Messiah Yeshua], 6 who, existing in the form of God, didnt consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and gave to Him the name which is above every name; 10 that at the name of [Yeshua] every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that [Yeshua our Messiah is Master], to the glory of God the Father. Just in case you’re wonder if the word “revealed” might have some less specific meaning in the Greek—here it is in Greek:

Timothy confirmed that, even then, no one “has seen, nor can see” God (the Father).

1 Timothy 6:13-16 I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before [our Messiah Yeshua], who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession, 14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Master Yeshua the Messiah]; 15 which in its own times He will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Incidentally, both of Them go by the title “King of kings, and Master (Lord) of masters”—the One who could not be seen as well as Yeshua:

Revelation 17:14 They will wage war with the Lamb; and the Lamb will conquer them; because He is Master of masters, and King of kings, and those with Him are called, chosen and faithful”. (also Revelation 19:16)

Yeshua has been with the Father since “before times eternal”:

2 Timothy 1:8-9 Therefore dont be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in [our Messiah Yeshua] before times eternal ... Hebrews 1 identifies the person who is described in Psalms 45! Paul said that “the Son” was being referred to in Psalm 45, that David describes as a “wedding song”. Of course Yeshua, while in the flesh was the “most excellent” man to have ever lived:

Psalms 45:2 You are the most excellent of the sons of men. Grace has anointed your lips, therefore God has blessed You forever. WEB

This short chapter about “the most excellent of the sons of men” is worth reading in this regard:

Hebrews 1:1-5 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds. 3 His Son is the radiance of His glory, the very image of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they have. 5 For to which of the angels did He say at any time, “You are My son. Today have I become your Father?” and again, “I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son?” 6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.” 7 Of the angels he says, “Who makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.” But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The cepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed YOU [the Christ] with the oil of gladness above your fellows” 10 And,“You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You continue. They all will grow old like a garment does. 12 As a mantle, You will roll them up, and they will be changed; but You are the same. Your years will not fail.” 13 But which of the angels has He told at any time, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies the footstool of Your feet?” 14 Arent they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? Knowing that Psalm 45 is describing Yeshua makes me wonder if He will have the equivalent of a “queen”, as well as “daughters” and “sons” otherwise known as “princes”.

Psalms 45:9-10, 16-17 Kings’ daughters are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir. 10 Listen, daughter, consider, and turn your ear.... 16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You shall make them princes in all the earth. 17 I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever. WEB

Melchizedek was the Messiah!

Hebrews Chapter 7 Entire chapter: For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, 2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace; 3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the best spoils. 5 They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham, 6 but He whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises. 7 But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8 Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that He lives. 9 We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes, 10 for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him. 11 Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law. 13 For He of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. 15 This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest, 16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life: 17 for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” 18 For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 20 Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath 21 (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but He with an oath by Him that says of Him, “The Lord swore and will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’” 22 By so much, [Yeshua] has become the collateral of a better covenant. 23 Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death. 24 But He, because He lives forever, has His priesthood unchangeable. 25 Therefore He is also able to save [completely] those who draw near to God through Him, seeing that He lives forever to make intercession for them. 26 For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 who doesnt need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For He did this once for all, when He offered up Himself. 28 For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the law appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. Who Spoke to Hosea?

Many people assume that a holy messenger (angel) spoke to Hosea concerning God’s plans for Israel. However, in the entire book, the only reference to a messenger is made in chapter 12:4 where Jacob wrestled with the “Angel” of the Lord. This book poses a problem to people who believe that the references to “One God” are about a body count. The Speaker to Hosea makes dozens of comments about what He, God, is going to do (ie: I, ME, MY) WHILE AT THE SAME TIME glorifying the God whom Israel claims to >“seek”“seek” adding that “they wont find Him. He has withdrawn Himself from them. 7 They are unfaithful to [Yehovah]”. It is abundantly apparent that the “Speaker God” has great respect for Yehovah (YHWH) (HE, MY GOD 9:17)! The One speaking to Hosea is none other than the One who was later born of a virgin in the flesh!

As a matter of fact, Yeshua (whose Hebrew name is Yehoshua) autographed the book of Hosea! The names Hosea, Joshua, Yeshua are all derived from the same Hebrew name!

Hosea: Strong’s 01954 is Howshea, pronounced Ho-shay’-ah. Derived from Strong’s 03467, Yasha, that means Savior, saved or salvation, depending on the context.

Joshua: Strong’s 03091 is Yehoshua, ewvwhy, pronounced Yeh-ho-shoo’-ah, later “nicknamed” Ye’shua. From Strong’s 03068 Yehovah, pronounced Yeh-ho-vaw’ (God’s personal name used 6510 times in the Hebrew Scriptures) and 03467 “Savior”. Together these names mean “Yehovah is Savior”!

Yeshua (or Yehoshua): Strong’s 2424 Iesous of Hebrew origin is pronounced ee-ay-sooce’. Strong’s 03091 again, ewvy; meaning “Yehovah is Savior”.

The following quotations from Hosea, “the Savior”, represent most of the many verses that identify the Speaker and the places where the Speaker mentions His God. No issues, other than this, are being addressed. Notice that Hosea had virtually nothing to say, other than to record what Yehovah told him!

Chapter 1 The word of [Yehovah] that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel. 2 When [Yehovah] spoke at first by Hosea, [Yehovah] said to Hosea.... WEB thruout

Here Yehovah spoke of the “other” Yehovah!

4 [Yehovah] said to him.... Then He said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah; for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.... 7 But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by [Yehovah] their God....

Here is the chapter where the Speaker, identifying Himself as Yehovah, says to Hosea that He (personally) will again marry Israel—this time forever—but that Israel shall also “know Yehovah”!

Chapter 2:3 Lest I strip her naked....

4 Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy....

6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her....

9 Therefore I will take back My grain in its time....

14 “Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. 15 I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she will respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. 16 It will be in that day,” says [Yehovah], “that you will call Me ‘My husband,’ and no longer call Me ‘My master’....

19 I will betroth you to Me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. 20 I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness; and you shall know [Yehovah].

Chapter 3 [Yehovah] said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by another, and an adulteress, even as [“the other”] [Yehovah] loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

5 ... Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek [“the other”] [Yehovah] their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to [Yehovah] and to His blessings in the last days.

Chapter 4 Hear the word of [Yehovah], you children of Israel....

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to Me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.

9 ... It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds, because they have abandoned giving to [Yehovah].

Chapter 5 Listen to this, you priests!...

4 ... Their deeds wont allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they dont know [Yehovah]....

6 They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek [Yehovah]; but they wont find Him. He has withdrawn Himself from them. 7 They are unfaithful to [Yehovah]; for they have borne illegitimate children....

10 The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out My wrath on them like water. 11 Ephraim is oppressed; he is crushed in judgment; because he is intent in his pursuit of idols. 12 Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness....

14 For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver. 15 I will go and return to My place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek My face. In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.

Chapter 6 Come, and let us return to [Yehovah]; for He has torn us to pieces, and He will heal us; He has injured us, and He will bind up our wounds....

7 But they, like Adam, have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to Me....

11 “Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of My people.

Chapter 7 When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, also the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the gang of robbers ravages outside. 2 They dont consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before My face....

7 ... There is no one among them who calls to Me.

10 ... The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they havent returned to [Yehovah] their God, nor sought Him, for all this.

12 ... When they go, I will spread My net on them. I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard. 13 Woe to them! For they have wandered from Me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against Me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against Me. 14 They havent cried to Me with their heart, but they howl on their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. They turn away from Me. 15 Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they plot evil against Me. 16 They return, but not to the Most High....

Chapter 8 Put the trumpet to your lips! Something like an eagle is over [Yehovah]’s house, because they have broken My covenant, and rebelled against My law. 2 They cry to Me, ‘My God, we Israel acknowledge you!’

12 ... I wrote for him the many things of My law; but they were regarded as a strange thing. 13 As for the sacrifices of My offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but [Yehovah] doesnt accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt. 14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire on his cities, and it will devour its fortresses.

Chapter 9 Dont rejoice, Israel, to jubilation like the nations; for you were unfaithful to your God.

3 ... They wont dwell in [Yehovah’s] land; but Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Assyria. 4 They wont pour out wine offerings to [Yehovah], neither will they be pleasing to Him. He will remember their iniquity. He will punish them for their sins.

10 ... I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at its first season; but they came to Baal Peor, and consecrated themselves to the shameful thing, and became abominable like that which they loved.

12 ... Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them! 13 I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer. 14 Give them—[Yehovah] what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. 15 “All their wickedness is in Gilgal; for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels. 16 Ephraim is struck. Their root has dried up. They will bear no fruit. Even though they bring forth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb.” 17 My God [the other family member] will cast them away, because they did not listen to Him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.

Chapter 10:2 Their heart is divided. Now they will be found guilty. He will demolish their altars. He will destroy their sacred stones.

10 ... When it is My desire, I will chastise them; and the nations will be gathered against them, when they are bound to their two transgressions. 11 Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh; so I will put a yoke on her beautiful neck. I will set a rider on Ephraim. Judah will plow. Jacob will break his clods. 12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek [Yehovah], until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

Chapter 11 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called My son out of Egypt.

7 ... My people are determined to turn from Me [Yeshua]. Though they call to the Most High, He certainly wont exalt them.

9 ... I will not execute the fierceness of My anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One IN THE MIDST OF YOU; and I will not come in wrath. 10 They will walk after [Yehovah], who will roar like a lion; for He will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west. 11 They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses,” says [Yehovah]. 12 Ephraim surrounds Me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.

Chapter 12:2 [Yehovah] also has a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his deeds He will repay him. 3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he contended with God. 4 Indeed, he struggled with the Angel [of the LORD], and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found Him at Bethel, and there He spoke with us, 5 even [Yehovah], the God of Armies; [Yehovah] is His name of renown! 6 Therefore turn to your God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait continually for your God.

9 ... “But I am [Yehovah] your God from the land of Egypt. I will yet again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.

The following verse is a mantra to the “Oneness” people, but remember the many I’s and HE’s in this book!

Chapter 13:4 Yet I am [Yehovah] your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but Me, and besides Me there is no Savior.

14 ... I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death! [By His crucifixion] Death, where are your plagues? Sheol, where is your destruction?” Compassion will be hidden from My eyes. 15 Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of [Yehovah] coming up from the wilderness; and his spring will become dry, and his fountain will be dried up. He will plunder the storehouse of treasure. 16 Samaria will bear her guilt; for she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women will be ripped open.

Chapter 14 Israel, return to [Yehovah] your God; for you have fallen because of your sin. 2 Take words with you, and return to [Yehovah]. Tell Him, “Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls. 3 Assyria cant save us. We wont ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.” 4 “I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for My anger is turned away from him.

Here is the concluding verse of Hosea:

9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of [Yehovah] are right, and the righteous walk in them; but the rebellious stumble in them.
