The Testimony of Yeshua
REVELATION 1-10 (Gabriel Version)
Revelation 1: THE Revelation of
Yeshua the Messiah, that
Yehovah gave to Him to show to His
servants—things that must
of necessity, quickly
appear in history. He
made these things known by sending His Messenger
[1] to His servant John.
2 He was a witness to the
Words of Aloha and to the
Testimony of Yeshua the Messiah [2] concerning everything that he saw.
[3]
3 Anyone who reads this is blessed, as is anyone who hears the truths of this prophecy and obeys the things that are written in it, because the time is imminent
[4].
4 John, to the seven assemblies in Asia:
Compassion to you and peace, from the One who is, and who was, and who is to come, from the seven spirits who are before His throne,
5 and from Yeshua the Messiah, the Faithful Witness, the firstborn from the dead and the
Ruler of the kings of the earth, who has loved us and washed us from our sins by His blood,
6 and has prepared us as kings
[5] and a priesthood to
Yehovah and His [Yehovah’s] Father [6], to who belongs praise and power, forever and ever.
Aw-mane’.
7 He is coming with the cloud, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all the tribes
[7] of the earth will mourn because of Him. Yes, Aw-mane’.
9 I John, your
Friend and your
participant in the tribulation and suffering
[8] that are ours in Yeshua the Messiah, was on the island called Patmos, because of
the Words of Aloha and because of the
Testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.
10 I was in the spirit
realm on Yehovah’s Day
[9], and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a shofar that said,
11 “Write what you
are seeing in a book and send it to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea”.
12 I was turning around to look at the voice that spoke to me, and as I turned, I saw the seven lights of a
golden menorah,
13 and, in the middle of the
menorah, someone, “perhaps”
[10] the Son of Man, wearing a garment down to His feet, and wearing a belt of gold around His chest.
14 His head and His hair were white, like white wool, like snow, and His eyes were like a flaming fire.
15 His feet were like fine brass, glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like high
waves on the sea.
16 He had seven stars in His right hand and a sharp two edged sword came from His mouth. His
face was like the sun shining full strength.
17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as
tho dead. He laid His right hand on me and said “Dont be afraid, I’m the First and the Last,
18 who Lives and was dead. I’m Alive forevermore! Aw-mane’. I have the keys of death and
Sheol.
19 So record what you have
already seen, and the things that
presently are, and the things that are to be in the
future.
20
This is the mystery about the seven stars that you saw in My right hand, and the seven menorah lights of gold. Those seven stars are the
spirit Messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lights
of the menorah are
the seven assemblies”.
[1] This Messenger appears to be none other than Yeshua Himself. This is exactly comparable to “the Messenger of Yehovah” (the Angel of the Lord) in the (Hebrew) Scriptures.
[2] The “Words of Yehovah” are the “Old Testament”, while the “Testimony of Yeshua” that John mentioned four times is what he was calling the “New Testament”.
[3] Was this prophecy a vision or something far more interesting?
[4] Imminent: From the perspective of the seven end time assemblies (the successors of the prototype assemblies who first read these prophecies). Once these prophesies begin to happen, they’ll happen quickly.
[5] Some render this “kingdom”, but that conflicts with “King of [over other] Kings”: Revelation 17:14 and Revelation 19:16.
[6] The Aramaic versions all read this way, as does the KJV. Compares to John 20:28, “And Thomas said to Him [Yeshua], ‘My Master and my Aloha’!”
[7] “Tribes” in the Testimony of Yeshua always refers to the 12 tribes.
[8] The Aramaic word for “suffering” can also imply “patience”, which is how the Greek translator translated it. But the tribulation (pain) and suffering that John said he was to experience, go hand in hand.
[9] Yehovah’s Day, aka “the Lord’s Day”, translates exactly as “the Day of the ‘Lord’” in Hebrew—the most prophesied event in the Scriptures.
[10] Literally, “like” or “resembling” or “corresponding to”, just as in Daniel 7:13. John was not positive of His identity at first (Revelation 1:17-18).
Revelation 2: To the Messenger of the assembly in
Ephesus write, “These are the things that He who holds everything including the seven stars in His right hand says, the One who walks among the seven golden menorah lights.
2 I know your works, your toil, your patience and
that you cant endure the wicked. You’ve put to the test those who claim to be “
apostles” and arent, and you’ve found them to be liars.
3 You’ve had patience and carried the burden because of My name, and havent fainted.
4 Yet I have something against you, you have left your former love.
5 So remember the position you have fallen from and
make amends. Do the former works because unless you
make amends for your sins, I WILL COME TO YOU QUICKLY and I’ll remove your menorah from its location.
6 But you have this in your favor, you hate the
works of the Nicolaitans who I also
hate.
7 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies. To anyone who is victorious, I’ll give food from the tree of Life, from the paradise of Aloha”.
8 To the Messenger of the assembly in Smyrna write, “The First and the Last, the One who was dead and now lives, says these things:
9 I know your works, and your suffering, and your destitution, yet you are rich, despite the blasphemy coming from those who say that they are Jews, who arent, but are of the cabal [1] of Satan.
10 Dont be terrified by any of the things you are to suffer! The Accuser will throw some of you into prison and you’ll be tried and you’ll experience tribulation for ten days. But be faithful til death and I’ll give you the crown of Life [2].
11 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies. Anyone who is victorious, wont be harmed by the second death”.
12 To the Messenger of the assembly in Pergamos write, “The One with the sharp two-edged sword says this,
13 “I know your works, and where you live—where Satan’s throne is, and that you hold firmly to My name. You didnt deny the My faith in the days when My faithful witness who was slain among you was made a spectacle of [3], where Satan dwells.
14 Yet I have a few
things against you. You have some there who promote the
doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block in front of the descendants of Israel so that they would eat the sacrifices of idols and commit illicit sex.
15 You also have those who promote the doctrine of the
Nicolaitans.
16 So amend your ways or I WILL COME TO YOU QUICKLY and war against you with the long sword of My mouth.
17 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies. I’ll give hidden manna to anyone who is victorious to eat, and I’ll give them a white stone and on the stone a new name is written that no one knows except for the one who receives it”.
18 To the Messenger of the assembly at Thyatira write, “Aloha’s Son, who has eyes like a flaming fire and feet like fine brass has this to say:
19 “I know your works, love, faith, service, your patience, and that your latter works are superior to the former.
20 But I have a few things against you because you allow
the woman Jezebel, who says she is a prophetess, to teach and
deceive My servants concerning
illicit sex, and about eating meats sacrificed to idols.
21 I gave her time to
amend her ways but she didnt
change her mind about her
illicit sexual intercourse.
22 I’ll throw her on a sickbed
[4] and those who commit
adultery with her will
afterwards go into GREAT TRIBULATION unless they reject her evil ways!
23 I’ll destroy Her children with death, and ALL THE assemblies WILL KNOW
[5] that I’m the One who searches the innermost thoughts and motives and I’ll
compensate each of you commensurate with your works.
24 But I say to the rest of you who are in Thyatira, those who havent accepted this doctrine, those who havent
come to know “the profound things of Satan”, as they say, I wont put another burden on you,
25 but, hold tightly onto what you have UNTIL I COME
[6].
26 To anyone who is victorious, persevering in My works TO THE END, to him will I give authority, over the
nations,
27 He’ll rule them with a scepter of iron, and like vessels of pottery, they’ll be broken, as I also have received from My Father.
28 I’ll give them the Morning Star
[7].
29 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies”.
[1] The Greek word “synagogue” is generic, it doesnt specify the function of a group. In this instance a sinister assembly is certainly implied.
[2] Which of the seven gifts given to the assemblies could you live without?
[3] The Greek does not include “was made a spectacle” or “was exposed”.
[4] “Arsa” in Aramaic can mean “bed” or “coffin”.
[5] There goes the eras theory.
[6] The Thyatirans will be here “UNTIL I COME”.
[7] You need to know who the Morning Star is, and the Lucifer connection.
Revelation 3: To the Messenger of the assembly in
Sardis write, “He who has the seven spirits of Yehovah, and the seven stars says these things: I know your works, you have name recognition as being alive, but you are dead.
2 Wake up and preserve the things that remain, that are ready to perish, because I havent found your works complete before Yehovah.
3 Remember the way you received and heard, and obey
those teachings and make amends. If you dont
pay attention I WILL COME TO YOU like a
thieving false ‘minister’ and you wont know which annual time
[1] I’ll come to you.
4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who havent defiled their clothes. They’ll walk with Me in white because they are worthy.
5 Anyone who is victorious will be clothed in white clothes, and I wont blot their names from
the Book of Life. I’ll acknowledge their names before My Father and before His Messengers.
6 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies”.
7 “To the Messenger of the assembly in
Philadelphia write: ‘The One who is dedicated, the One who is true, the One who has the key of David, who opens and no man shuts, and shuts and no man opens says these things:
8 I know your works. I have set before you an open door, that no one can shut, because you have a little strength and you’ve kept My Word and havent denied My name!
9 I’ll give those of the cabal of Satan who claim to be Jews and arent, but lie, I’ll make them come and
worship [2] before your feet and understand that I have loved you!
10 Since you’ve
guarded My truth steadfastly,
I’ll guard you from
the Hour of Trial that will come on the entire inhabited world, to test those who live on the earth.
11 I AM COMING QUICKLY!
[3] Hold tightly onto what you have so that no one takes your crown.
12 Anyone who is victorious, I’ll make a pillar in the Temple of Yehovah, and they’ll
never be separated from the assembly, and I’ll write Yehovah’s name on them, and the name of New Jerusalem that descends from the heavens, from Yehovah, and My own new name.
13 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies”.
14 To the Messenger of the assembly in
Laodicea write: “The Aw-mane’, the Witness, the Faithful, the True, the
Originator of Yehovah’s creation says these things:
15 ‘I know your works, that you are neither hot or cold. I wish that you were either cold or hot.
16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot or cold—I’m about to vomit you from My mouth.
17 Because you say, “I’m rich and affluent and lack nothing”, not knowing that you are wretched, miserable, destitute, blind and naked,
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold tested in the fire so that you’ll
actually become rich, and white clothing so that you are clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness wont be seen, and put eye salve on yours eyes so that you can see.
19 Those who I love, I correct and train. So be zealous and make amends.
20 I have been standing at the door, and I will knock, so if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I’ll come in to them and dine with them, and they with Me.
21 Anyone who is victorious I’ll allow to sit with Me on My throne [4], even as I was victorious and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 To anyone listening, listen to what the spirit says to the assemblies’”.
[1] While this word can be translated as simply “day” or “hour”, the first meaning of hora is “a certain definite time or season fixed by natural law and returning with the revolving year”. This is how the Scriptural calendar, anchored by the spring barley harvest and visible new moons is determined. Most of the important historical events (such as Passover and Pentecost of 31 AD) have occurred on these “annual times” just as the prophetic events will occur on Israel’s Dedicated (Holy) Days!
[2] The faithful will be made worthy of worship on Judgment Day.
[3] From the perspective of the end time seven assemblies—the successors of the prototypical assemblies who first read this prophecy—once these prophesies begin to happen, He’ll return quickly.
[4] For most of history, kings literally ruled from their thrones, yet from this passage, the “SEAT of authority” for the Kingdom of Yehovah was predicted to be administered by a multiplicity of kings, literally ruling in complete harmony from a “dreadfully high” (Ezekiel 1:18) “throne” (v.26).
Revelation 4: After these things, I looked and saw a door open in the sky! The first voice that I heard was like a shofar talking with me. It said, “Come up here and I’ll show you the things that must happen after this”.
2 Instantly, I was in the spirit and a throne was placed in the sky and there was Someone seated on the throne!
3 The One who sat there had the appearance of a jasper and sardonyx stone. A rainbow of the clouds surrounded the throne and it resembled emeralds.
4 Surrounding the throne [Aramaic: Kursio, a seat of state] were twenty four seats [Ar: Kursothee], and on those seats I saw twenty four elders, who were clothed in white clothing, and on their heads were golden crowns.
5 Lightning came from the throne, and the sound of thundering and seven lamps of fire were burning in front of the throne that are the seven spirits of Yehovah.
6 In front of the throne it was like a sea of glass
[1], like crystal, and near the throne, around it, and before the throne were four living beings, full of eyes, both in their front and in their rear.
7 The first living being resembled a lion, and the second living being resembled a calf, and the third living being had a face like a man, and the fourth living beings resembled an eagle when flying.
8 Each of these four living beings had six wings around it, and within they were full of eyes, and they never cease from saying, day or night, “dedicated, dedicated, dedicated, Supreme Yehovah, the Almighty who was, and is, and is to come.
9 When these living beings give praise and honor and thankfulness to the One who sits on the throne, to the One who lives forever and ever,
10 the twenty-four elders fall down before the One who sits on the throne, and they worship the One who lives forever and ever, and they toss their crowns before the throne saying,
11 “You are worthy,
dedicated Yehovah, to receive praise and honor and power, because You’ve created the
universe. And because of Your determination
planets were made inhabitable”.
[1] The “SEA of GLASS”, described as “like crystal” in Revelation 4:6 mirrors the “icy crystal” “firmament” (“vault of heaven supporting WATERS above”) of Ezekiel 1:22.
Revelation 5: I saw a book at the right side of the One who sat on the throne. It had writing on the inside as well as on the back side, and it was stamped with seven seals.
2 I saw a strong Messenger who heralded, “Who is worthy to open the book and to break it’s seals”?
3 No one either in Heaven above, or on the earth, or beneath the earth, was able to open the book, or even look at it.
4 I cried considerably because no one was found who was worthy to open the book, or to look at it.
5 One of the elders said to me, “Dont cry, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the offshoot of David has been victorious, He’ll open the book and its seven seals!
6 I looked, and among the elders stood a Lamb, as if slain, and it had seven horns and seven eyes, that are the seven spirits of Yehovah that are sent into all the earth.
7 He came, and took the book from the right hand of the One who sat on the throne.
8 When He took the book, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each of them having a harp, and golden cups full of incense, that are the prayers of the faithful.
9 They sang a new anthem saying, “You are worthy to take the book, and to open it’s seals, because You were slain and have
bought us for Yehovah with Your own blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and You’ve made them kings and priests for Yehovah, and they’ll reign on the earth.
11 I looked, and I heard as it were, the voice of many Messengers around the throne, and the living beings and the elders, and they numbered one-hundred million—many thousands of thousands.
12 They said with a loud voice, “The Lamb who was slain is worthy to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, praise, and blessings.
13 He’ll be over everything created in Heaven, and on earth and under the earth and in the sea and everything that is in them”. Then I heard the One who sat on the throne say, “The Lamb is being given blessings, honor, praise and power forever and ever”.
14 The four living beings said, “Aw-mane’. Then the elders fell down, and worshiped”.
Revelation 6: I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals. As I looked, I heard one of the four
living beings say with a voice like thunder, “Come and see”.
2 I looked, and there was a white horse, and the one who sat on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he left conquering and he
kept conquering.
3 After he had opened the second seal, I heard the second living beings say, “Come”.
4 A fourth horse departed, a red one, and the rider was given the power to take tranquility from the earth so that people would kill each other, and he was given a large sword.
5 After he had opened the third seal, I heard the third living being say, “Come and see”. So I looked and saw a black horse, and the rider had a balance beam scale in his hand.
6 I heard a voice from among the four living beings that said, “A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three choenices of barley for a denarius, and dont hurt the oil and the wine”.
7 When he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living being say, “Come and see”.
8 I looked, and saw a
green horse, and the rider’s name was Death! Sheol followed behind him. He was given authority over a quarter of the earth, to slay with the sword, by famine, by death, and by the ravenous animals of the earth.
9 After he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the
bodies of those who were slain because of the
Word of Aloha [1] and because of the Testimony of the Lamb [2] that they possessed.
10 They cried out, “How long, Master, pure and true, will You wait before judging and avenging those living on the earth who shed our blood?
11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told that they must be quiet for a little while, until after their fellow servants and
Friends were killed as they had been.
12 I looked when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake, the sun became black like coarse hide and the moon became blood red.
13
Asteroids [aster] from the heavens fell to the earth, as a fig tree lets go of its unripe figs when shaken by a strong wind.
14 The sky was
severed like when a scroll is rolled, and every mountain and island was shaken out of place.
15 The kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders of thousands, the rich men, the strong, and every servant and free man hid themselves in caves and under rock ledges in the mountains,
16 and they said to the mountains and ledges, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of the One who sits on the throne AND from the wrath of the Lamb,
17 because the great day of
Their wrath has come and who is able to take a stand”?
[1] “The Word(s) of Elohim (Aloha) are the (Hebrew) Scriptures—also identified with Yeshua Himself, Revelation 19:13.
[2] The “Testimony of the Lamb” or the “Testimony of Yeshua” is the so-called “New Testament”. (See the forward).
Revelation 7: After these things I saw four Messengers who stood on the
four corners of the earth and they held the four winds of the earth so that the wind couldnt blow on the earth, or on the sea or the trees.
2 I saw another Messenger, and he came up from the direction of the rising sun, he had the seal of the living Aloha, and he called out loudly to the four Messengers who were given the responsibility to harm the land and the sea saying,
3 “Dont harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have marked the servants of Yehovah with a seal on their foreheads”.
4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed from every tribe of Israel.
5 From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand,
6 from the tribe of Ashur, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand,
7 from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand: from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand,
8 from the tribe of Zebulon, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand.
9 After this, I saw an enormous number of people that no one could count, from every nation and tribe and language, who stood in front of the throne and the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and had palm branches in their hands.
10 They called out with loud voices and said, “
Eternal Life to Yehovah, to the One who sits on the throne and to the Lamb”!
11 All the Messengers stood around the throne, and the elders and the four living beings, and they bowed face down before His throne and worshiped Yehovah,
12 saying, “Aw-mane’. Blessing and praise and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might
be to Yehovah, forever and ever, Aw-mane’”.
13 One of the elders turned and asked me, “Who are these people clothed in white robes, and where did they come from”?
14 I said, “Friend, you know”. He answered, “These are the ones who
are coming out [1] of the Great Tribulation, they’ve washed their clothes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 This is why they are in front of the throne of Yehovah serving Him day and night in His Temple
[2], and the One who sits on the throne will protect them.
16 They wont hunger or thirst any more
[3], nor will they be overcome by the sun or burning heat,
17 because the Lamb who is in the
center of the throne will feed them, and will lead them to springs of living water, and Yehovah will wipe every tear from their eyes”.
[1] The Online Bible differentiates the tenses more accurately than any English version, if you click on the paraphrased (numbers) in the KJV. This is probably because the present tense may seem too dramatic here. Yet sometimes the exact tense really makes a difference.
[2] Ezekiel chapters 40-48 is all about the temple services during the Everlasting Kingdom, tho people dont want to hear that. Ezekiel 47 clearly is the same time period as Revelation 21-22. The Levites, other than descendants of Zadok, are disqualified from serving in the future temple (Ezekiel 44:10-16). Perhaps the 144,000 will take their place.
[3] Isaiah 49:10 describes these exact same events, the end of “hunger”, “thirst”, “heat”, “sun”, along with “springs of water” in the context of survivors of the Great Tribulation, from all twelve tribes of Israel returning to the land of Israel during the Second Exodus, at the beginning of the Everlasting Kingdom!
Revelation 8: When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
2 I saw the seven Messengers who stood before Yehovah, and they were given seven shofars.
3 Another Messenger came and stood by the altar. He held a golden incenser, and plenty of incense was given to him so that he could offer it with the prayers of all the faithful on the golden altar before the throne.
4 The smoke of the incense with the prayers of the faithful ascended before Yehovah from the Messenger’s hand.
5 The Messenger took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. There was thunder, lightning, loud voices, and an earthquake.
6 The seven Messengers who had the seven shofars prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first sounded, and there was hail and fire that was mixed with water [A], and these were thrown to the earth and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of all the trees were burned and all the green crops were burned.
8 The second Messenger sounded, and something resembling a great mountain burning with fire plunged into the sea, also a third of the sea became blood.
9 A third of all the living creatures in the sea died and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third Messenger sounded and an asteroid [aster] fell from the sky, burning like a lamp, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
11 The name of the asteroid was called Wormwood, and a third of the water became polluted with wormwood. Many people died due to the water, since it become bitter.
12 The fourth Messenger sounded and a third of the sun was darkened, and a third of the moon and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened and a third of the day became dark, and the night likewise.
13 Then I saw and heard an eagle with a blood red tail [B]. It flew directly overhead and said with a loud voice, “Calamity, calamity, calamity [1] for those who live on earth, because of the remaining blasts of the shofars of the three Messengers that are yet to blast”.
[1]Greek “oye”, I presume from the Hebrew expression (and yes its 3 times).
[A] The Greek says “blood”.
[B] The Greek says “angelos” instead of “eagle with a blood red tail”.
Revelation 9: The fifth Messenger sounded, and I saw a shooting star fall from heaven onto the earth. He was given the key to the bottomless abyss.
2 He opened the abyss, and smoke rose from the pit, like the smoke of a blast furnace. The sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the abyss.
3 Locusts came out of the smoke and onto the earth, and they were given power, like scorpions on earth possess.
4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any herbs, or any trees, but only the people who didnt have the seal of Yehovah on their foreheads.
5 They were told not to kill them, but rather to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a person.
6 In those days, people will look for death, but they wont find it, they’ll long to die, but death will elude them.
7 The locusts resembled horses prepared for battle. On their heads was something resembling gold crowns, their faces resembled the faces of people.
8 They had hair resembling the hair of women, and their teeth resembled those of lions.
9 They had breastplates, resembling
ordinary iron breastplates, and the sound of their wings resembled the noise of chariots, and many horses rushing into battle.
10 They had tails like those of scorpions, and stingers, and with their tails they had the ability to hurt humanity for five months.
11 Their king was the angel of the
abyss [abussos], and his name, in Hebrew, is Abaddon
[1], and in Greek, his name is Apollyon
[2].
12 One calamity is past, but there are still two calamities coming.
13 The sixth Messenger sounded, and I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar that was before Yehovah,
14 who said to the sixth Messenger, who also had a shofar, “Release the four angels who are chained at the great river Euphrates”.
15 The four angels were unchained. They had been made ready for this very hour, day, month, and year [3], to kill one third of humanity.
16 The number of the warrior cavalry was two hundred million, and I heard their number.
17 While I looked at the horses
within view, and at those who rode them
I saw that the breastplates were of fire, jacinth, and of sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and fire, smoke, and sulfur came from their mouths.
18 By these three plagues, a third of humanity was slain by the fire, by the smoke, and by the sulfur, that came from their mouths.
19 The power of the horses was in their mouths, and in their tails, because their tails were like serpents, having heads to strike with.
20 The rest of humanity who werent killed by these plagues, still didnt amend their ways, so as not to worship demons, idols of gold, of silver, brass, stone, and wood,
things that cant see, or hear.
21 They didnt
change their wicked ways: the murders, witchcraft,
sexual immorality [porneia], or their thievery.
[1] Abaddon means the “Destroyer”.
[2] Apollyon means “the angel of the bottomless pit”, the “Destroyer”.
[3] There is a definite time appointed (Habakkuk 2:3) for the end of the age. It will not be “cut short” or “tarry”. Perhaps the exact time was set when Yeshua was rejected, tho a bona fide opportunity had been presented for His acceptance, as Father indicated in the analogy of the vineyard (Matthew 21:37).
Revelation 10: I saw another mighty Messenger descend from the sky, encompassed with a cloud, and a rainbow was over his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs [1] like pillars of fire.
2 In his hand he had a little book opened, and he placed his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land.
3 He shouted loudly, like a lion roaring. After he had shouted, the seven thunders also spoke.
4 When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to record it, when I heard a voice from the sky, saying, “Seal up the things that the seven thunders have said, and dont record those things”.
5 The Messenger I saw standing on the sea and the land, raised his right hand to the sky,
6 and swore, by the One who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and everything in it, and the earth and everything in it, and the sea and the things in it, that no time remained.
7 When the time comes for the seventh Messenger to sound his shofar, the mystery of Yehovah will be fulfilled—the Good News He gave to His servants the prophets.
8 The voice that I heard from the sky spoke to me again, and said, “Go, take the little book that is opened in the hand of the Messenger who stands on the sea and on the land”.
9 I went to the Messenger, telling him to give me the little book. He told me, “Take it, and eat it, it will be bitter in your stomach, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey”.
10 I took the little book from the hand of the Messenger, and ate it. It was sweet in my mouth like honey, but after I ate it, my stomach was bitter.
11 He told me, “
John, you must prophesy again before many nations, peoples, princes, and kings”.
[1] The Aramaic word can refer to “legs” or “feet”, but the Greek translator chose pous, a word that only refers to “feet”, instead of skelos (leg). Legs can be like pillars, but feet cant.
