The Testimony of Yeshua
1st & 2nd & 3rd JOHN (Gabriel Version)
1st John 1: We announce to you what was from the beginning, that we heard and saw with our own eyes, looked at, having even touched with our hands—the Word of Life.
2 The Life was made visible, and we have seen and are witnesses announcing to you the eternal Life that was with the Father, and then revealed to us.
3 Our
message that we declare to you is what we have seen and heard, so that you can have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is truly with the Father, and with His Son
Yeshua the Messiah.
4 We write these things to you, so that our joy (that is in you) will increase.
5 This is the message that we have heard from Him, and declare to you, that
Yehovah is light, and nothing about Him is dark.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, but we live in darkness, then we’re liars not living in the truth.
7 But if we live in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Yeshua His Son cleanses us from all of our sins.
8 If we say that we have no sins, we deceive ourselves, and the truth isnt in us.
9 But if we acknowledge our sins, He can be relied on to forgive our sins with
fairness, and cleanse us from all of our unrighteous actions.
10 If we say that we havent sinned, we declare Him to be a liar, and His
truth isnt with us.
1st John 2: My
new converts, I write these things to you so that you wont sin. But when anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yeshua the Messiah, the Righteous
One.
2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the entire world.
3 In this
way we know that we know Him, if we
obey His Commandments.
4 Anyone who says, “I know Him”, but doesnt obey His Commandments is a liar and the truth isnt in them.
5 But whoever continually obeys [present, active, subjunctive] His
truths,
shows the love of Yehovah in themselves, truly perfected. This is how we can know that we’re in Him.
6 Anyone who says, “I’m in Him”, is bound to live as He lived.
7
Friends, I havent
written down any new Commandment for you, but the old Commandment that you’ve had from the beginning, and the old Commandment is the truth you’ve already heard.
8
Yet I am writing a new commandment for you, that is quite evident in Him and in you, because the darkness has passed away and genuine light is already shining.
9 Whoever says that they are in the light, yet hates a fellow
countryman [or acquaintance], is still in darkness.
10 Anyone who loves their
countrymen remains in the light, and poses no obstacles.
11 But anyone who hates their countrymen is in darkness, living in darkness, and they dont know where they are going, because darkness has blinded their eyes.
12 New converts, I write to you because your sins are forgiven for His name’s sake.
13 Father’s, I write to you because you have known the One who has existed from the beginning. Young men, I write to you because you have overcome the wicked one. New converts, I have written to you because you have known the Father.
14 Father’s, I have written to you because you’ve known the One who
was from the beginning. Young men, I’ve written to you because you are strong, and the Word of Aloha lives in you, and you have overcome the wicked
one.
15 Dont love this world or anything in it, because anyone who loves this world doesnt have the love of the Father in them.
16 Everything in the world—the lust of the body, and the lust of the eyes, and prideful materialism—are not from the Father, but from the world itself.
17 The world is being
led away, and it’s cravings, but anyone who does the will of Yehovah, lives forever!
18 My new converts, it is the end time, and as you have heard that a false Messiah was to arise, and now there are many false Messiahs, because of this we know that it is the end time.
19 They
left our assembly, but they didnt belong with us, because if they’d been with us, they’d have stayed with us. But they left us, and that in itself proves that they didnt belong with us.
20 But you have been anointed by the
dedicated One, and you can distinguish between people
[1].
21 I havent written to you because you dont know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie
comes from the truth.
22 Who is a liar other than someone who denies that Yeshua is the Messiah? That person is a false Messiah. Anyone who denies the Father, also denies the Son.
23 Those who reject the Son dont have the Father either.
[2] Anyone who acknowledges the Son, also acknowledges the Father.
24 What you heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains with you, then you’ll remain in the Father and in the Son.
25 This is the promise that He has given to us—eternal Life.
26 I have written these things to you concerning those who seduce you.
27 If the anointing that you received from Him remains in you, then you wont need anyone to teach you [3], since the anointing is from Yehovah, it teaches you everything and it is true, with no falsehood is in it. Remain in Him as He taught you.
28 Now, my new converts, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we wont be ashamed in His presence, but can be fearless at His coming.
29 If you know that He is righteous, you also know that whoever is righteous, is from Him.
[1] The Greek says “you know everything” instead of “you can distinguish between people”.
[2] “Anyone who acknowledges the Son, also acknowledges the Father”, was apparently added to the Greek copies later.
[3] You dont need any liars (verse 22) or any deceivers (verse 26).
1st John 3: You see the
quality of the love that the Father has for us, because He has called us the children of Yehovah, and made us such. The world doesnt know us now, because it doesnt know Him.
2 Loved ones, we’re now Yehovah’s children, but it isnt
clearly understood what we’re to be, but we know that when He returns, we will be
very similar to Him, and we will see Him
just as He is.
3 Everyone who has this expectation from Him, purifies himself, just as He is pure.
7 New converts, dont let anyone mislead you, anyone who lives righteously is righteous, just as the Messiah is righteous.
8 Anyone who
lives in violation of the Torah belongs to Satan, because Satan was a sinner from the beginning, and because of this, Yehovah’s Son appeared so that He could destroy the works of Satan.
9 Anyone who has been
begotten by Yehovah, doesnt wander from the Torah of Yehovah, since His
Life giving power is in him, and he cant
practice sin, because he has been begotten
[1] by Yehovah.
10 This is how the children of Yehovah are plainly distinguished from the children of Satan. Anyone who doesnt live righteously, and doesnt love their fellow countrymen doesnt belong to Yehovah.
11 This is the Commandment that you have heard since the
creation, that you should love each other.
12 Not like Cain, who belonged to the evil one, and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own works were evil, and those of his brother were righteous!
13 It’s no wonder Friends, that the world hates you.
14 We know that we have passed from death to Life because we love our countrymen. Anyone who doesnt love their countrymen remains in death.
15 Anyone who hates their countrymen is a murderer, and you know that no murderer can have eternal Life
remaining in him.
16 We can understand His love for us, because He gave up His life for us, and we should also give up our lives for our fellow men.
17 If someone has this worlds resources, and sees a countryman in need, but shows no compassion—how could the love
[2] of Yehovah
remain in them?
18 My new converts, let’s not love each other in words and in speech
only, but in
works and in truth.
19 This is how we can be assured that we’re
on the side of truth, and we’re mentally assured
of it before He comes
[3].
20 But if our minds condemn us, how much greater is Yehovah than our minds, who knows everything?
21 Beloved, if our minds dont condemn us, we can
speak freely to Yehovah.
22 Whatever we ask, we receive from Him because we obey His Commandments and do the things that please Him.
23 These are His Commandments: that we believe on the name of His Son Yeshua the Messiah
[4], and that we love each other as He has commanded us
[5].
24 Anyone who obeys His Commandments
remains in Him, and He remains in him. And this is how we know that He remains in us, by His spirit that He has given to us.
[1] Begotten can mean anything from conception to actual birth. But once our gestation is complete, and our second birth actually takes place, at the resurrection, we will be able to fly like the wind (John 3:4-8)!
[2] See why the Aramaic “love” is better than the Greek “bowels”. Keyword bowels
[3] The Greek copies say “before Him”, rather than “before He comes”.
[4] This is demonstrated by obedience to the first four Commandments.
[5] This is demonstrated by obedience to the last six Commandments
1st John 4: Beloved, dont believe every spirit [1], but scrutinize the spirits as to whether they are from Yehovah, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 This is how the spirit of Yehovah is known, every spirit that admits that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh is from Yehovah.
3 Any spirit that doesnt admit that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh isnt from Yehovah, but he is of the spirit of a false Messiah, who you have heard is coming and is already in the world.
4 But you new converts are of Yehovah, and you have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than those who are in the world.
5 They are worldly, so they speak worldly things, and the world hears them.
6 But we belong to Yehovah, and anyone who knows Yehovah will listen to us, and anyone who isnt of Yehovah wont listen to us. This is how we discern the spirit of truth from the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, we must love each other, because love is from Yehovah, and whoever loves is
engendered by Yehovah and
understands Yehovah,
8 because Yehovah is love, and whoever doesnt love, doesnt know Yehovah.
9 This is how Yehovah’s love was revealed to us—Yehovah sent His
unique Son into the world, so that we could live
because of Him.
10 This is love, it was not that we loved Yehovah, but that Yehovah loved us, and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Dear Friends, if Yehovah has loved us like this, we should also love each other.
12 No one has ever seen Yehovah, but if we love each other, Yehovah remains in us, and His love is being completed in us.
13 This is how we know that we remain in Him, and that He remains in us—He has given His spirit to us.
14 We have seen and proclaim, that the Father has sent His Son as the
Life Giver of the world.
15 Whoever
openly declares that Yeshua is Yehovah’s Son—Yehovah remains in him and he remains in Yehovah.
16 We have believed and known the love that Yehovah has for us, because Yehovah is love, and whoever remains in love, remains in Yehovah.
17 This is how His love is perfected in us, so that we can
speak freely without fear on Judgment Day, because we’re as He was in this world.
18 In love there is no fear, but perfect love throws fear out, because there is a
penalty for fear, and anyone who fears isnt completely perfected in love.
19 So let’s love Yehovah, because He loved us first.
20 Anyone who says, “I love Yehovah”, when they hate a fellow
countryman is a liar. If someone doesnt love their countryman, who is visible, how can they love Yehovah who is invisible?
21 We have received this Commandment from Him—whoever loves Yehovah, must also love their countrymen.
[1] The Lamsa version arbitrarily replaces “spirit” with “prophecy” in the first three verses.
1st John 5: Whoever believes that Yeshua is the Messiah,
will be born of Yehovah. Whoever loves the Begetter, loves the One who was begotten by Him.
2 This is how we know that we love the new converts of Yehovah: when we love Yehovah and obey His Commandments.
3 This is the love of Yehovah, that we obey His Commandments, and His Commandments arent burdensome.
4 Whoever is begotten of Yehovah, overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world—our faith.
5 Who can be victorious over the world other than those who believe that Yeshua is Yehovah’s Son?
6 This is the One who came by the water and the blood. Yeshua the Messiah, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The spirit testifies because the spirit is
always objective.
“7”
[1]
8 There are three witnesses: the spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three are in unison.
9 If we accept the declaration of people, how much greater is the declaration of Yehovah? And this is the witness of Yehovah, that He has witnessed concerning His Son.
10 Whoever believes in Yehovah’s Son, has internalized the
Testimony. And whoever doesnt believe Yehovah has declared Him to be a liar, by not believing the Testimony that Yehovah testified concerning His Son.
11 This is the Testimony—Yehovah has given us eternal Life, and this Life is
found in His Son.
12 Anyone who has the Son, has Life, and anyone who doesnt have the Son, doesnt have Life.
13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of Yehovah’s Son, so that you can know that you have eternal Life.
14 This is the assurance that we have toward Him, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 If we know that He hears us, concerning what we ask Him for, we confidently receive the requests that we asked Him for.
16 If anyone sees their Friend sin a sin that doesnt deserve death, they should ask, and Life will be given to them,
so long as their sin isnt deadly. There is a deadly sin, and I’m not saying that we should
make requests about that.
17 Every violation of the Torah is a sin, but there is a sin that is
not deadly.
18 We know that anyone who is begotten of Yehovah, doesnt
practice sin, because anyone who is begotten of Yehovah
guards himself, and the evil one cant cling onto him.
19 We know that we belong to Yehovah, while the world is held in subjection by the evil one.
20 We know that Yehovah’s Son has come, and has given us understanding, so that we can know the True One, and so that we can belong to the True One—in His Son Yeshua the Messiah. He is the true Aloha, and the eternal Life.
21 My new converts, keep yourselves from
religious images.
[1] The Peshitta, as well as the earliest Greek manuscripts omit the corruption of 1 John 5:7-8. This “verse” has been added in most translations to support a Trinity. Murdock added it in brackets. Etheridge cut out the added words.

The Testimony of Yeshua
2nd John
The Elder, to Kuria, and to her children, who I love in the truth, and not just me, but everyone who knows the truth,
2 because of the truth that lives in us and will be in us forever:
3 May
compassion be with you, good will, and peace, from Yehovah the Father, and from our Master Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 I have rejoiced greatly because I have found
some of your children living in the truth,
taking hold of the Commandments from the Father.
5 Now I implore you, Kuria, not as tho I’m writing a new Commandment to you, but only what we have had from the very beginning, that we should love each other.
6 This is love, that we live by the Commandments. This command has been heard from
creation, and we should
live by it.
7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world who dont confess that Yeshua the Messiah came in the flesh. This is deception and antichrist
[1].
8 Look to yourselves, so that you dont lose what you have
earned, so that you can be
fully compensated.
9 Anyone who
abandons the faith and doesnt
remain in the doctrine of the Messiah, Yehovah isnt in Him. But those who remain in His doctrine have the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you, and doesnt bring this doctrine, dont welcome them into your house or affirm their joy,
11 because anyone who affirms their joy, participates in their evil deeds.
12 There are many things I could write to you about, but I prefer not with paper and ink, because I hope to come to you, and to converse face to face, so that our joy can be complete.
13 The new converts of your Select sister greet you. Compassion be with you.
Aw-mane’.
[1] “Antichristos” was uniquely adopted from the Greek here. All other references refer to a “false Messiah”.

The Testimony of Yeshua
John’s THIRD letter
The Elder, to my dear Friend Gaius, who I love in the truth.
2 Beloved, I wish above everything for you to be successful and to be safe and sound, just as your
inner selves [
psuche (psyche)] prosper.
3 I greatly rejoiced, when our Friend came and attested to your integrity, even as you live by the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my new converts live by the truth.
5 Beloved, you are faithful in whatever you do for your Friends, and especially towards outsiders,
6 who have spoken of your love before the whole assembly. You are good to them in a manner pleasing to Yehovah
[1].
7 They went out in behalf of His name, taking nothing from the
nations.
8 We should welcome these people so that we can be aids of the truth.
9 I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves “supremacy” over them, rejected us.
10 So when I come, I’ll call attention to what he is doing—that he accuses us of evil, and as if that were not enough, he doesnt welcome the faithful we send, and banishes those who would welcome them into the assembly.
11 Beloved, dont imitate this evil behavior, but
imitate what is good. Anyone who
does good for the benefit of others is of Yehovah, but anyone who does evil has no
perception of Yehovah.
12 Everyone in the assembly spoke well of Demetrius, and of the truth itself. We also bear
His Testimony and you know that our Testimony is true.
13 I had many things to write to you, but I’ll not write them to you with ink and pen.
14 But I hope to see you soon and to converse face to face. [2] Peace be with you. Friends I wish you well. Greet each of my Friends by name.
[1] The Greek has the assembly doing good by sending “them” on a journey.
[2] Murdock accidentally divided verse 14 in half, as did Lamsa, creating verse “15”.
End of John’s third letter
JUDE is next.
