Introduction

1st Thessalonians 1: Paul, Sylvanus and Timothy, to the assembly of Thessalonians that is in Yehovah the Father and in our Master Yeshua the Messiah: May compassion be with you, and peace.
2 We give thanks to Aloha continually for you all, and constantly mention you in our prayers: 3 and in the presence of Yehovah the Father, we remember your works of faith and labors of love and the persistence of your enduring anticipation toward our Master Yeshua’s coming.
4 Friends, we know of your selection and that Yehovah loves you. 5 The Good News that we brought to you wasnt by words alone, but with power and with the dedicated spirit and in genuine persuasion. You also know what kind of men we were when we were with you, on your behalf. 6 You followed our example, and that of our Master, after you received the doctrine, amid severe persecution and yet with joy from the dedicated spirit, 7 so that you were an example for all of the faithful in Macedonia and Greece. 8 The doctrine of our Master has resounded from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in Yehovah has become known everywhere, so that it isnt necessary for us to say anything about you. 9 They report what a reception we had with you, and how you turned to Yehovah from the fear of idols, to worshiping the living and true Aloha, 10 awaiting His Son from Heaven, Yeshua Himself, who He raised from the dead, who will deliver us from the wrath to come.

1st Thessalonians 2: Friends, you know our visit to you wasnt without effect. 2 As you remember, we had already suffered, and been treated with strong opposition in Philippi, and even then, amid great conflict we spoke boldly and freely with confidence in Yehovah when we presented the Good News of the Messiah to you. 3 Our stirring address didnt leave you wandering about, nor were there impure motives or fraudulence. 4 But Yehovah tested and approved us before entrusting us with His Good News, not speaking to please men, but to please Yehovah who tests and approves our motives. 5 As you know, we have never used flattery or any pretext for greed, with Yehovah as our witness, 6 nor did we seek praises from any of you or anyone else, when we could have claimed authority as envoys of the Messiah.
7 On the contrary, we were as gentle as a mother is when she tenderly nurses her own children. 8 We were affectionately drawn toward you, and not only wanted to give you Yehovah’s Good News, but also our very lives, because you were dear to us. 9 Friends, you should remember our labor and hardship, working with our own hands night and day, so that we wouldnt be a burden to any of you.
10 You are witnesses, as is Yehovah, how we proclaimed the Good News of Yehovah to you, purely and justly and dealt blamelessly with everyone who believes. 11 As you know, we reacted toward each of you as a father does to his own children. We comforted you and encouraged you, 12 and implored you to live lives worthy of Yehovah, who has called you by name into His Kingdom and His splendor.
13 This is why we give thanks unceasingly to Yehovah, so that the Words of Aloha that you received from us werent like accepting human words, but are actually the Words of Aloha that work efficiently in you and in everyone who believes. 14 Friends, you who are in Yeshua the Messiah have become like the assemblies of Yehovah in Judea, in that you even suffered from your own countrymen, as they did from the Jews, 15 the people who killed our Master, Yeshua the Messiah, and persecuted their own prophets as well as us. They dont strive to please Yehovah, they are the enemies of all mankind. 16 They forbid us to speak to other ethnicities so that they can be Rescued. They always have a full measure of sins. Furious punishment will precede their termination!
17 Friends, we have been separated from you for a short while, (in visible presence, but not in our thoughts), and are endeavoring even more earnestly and longingly to see you face to face. 18 We wanted to come to you, particularly I Paul, again and again, but Satan hindered us. 19 What is our hope and joy and the crown of our rejoicing, unless it’s you, in the presence of our Master Yeshua at His coming? 20 Yes, you are our majesty and our joy.

1st Thessalonians 3: When we could no longer endure it, we decided to stay behind in Athens, 2 and send Timothy our Friend and fellow laborer of Yehovah to you—our assistant in the Good News of the Messiah, so that he could strengthen you and encourage you in your faith, 3 so that none of you would be troubled by these trials, because you know that this is destined to happen. 4 Even while we were with you, we foretold that you would be persecuted, and as you know this actually happened. 5 This is why, when I could no longer endure the uncertainty, I sent him to learn of your faith, being afraid that the Tempter might have tempted you and that our endeavors might have been lost.
6 But now Timothy has come to us from you, and has informed us about your faith and your love and that you still have fond memories of us and that you long to see us just as we long to see you, 7 Friends, this is why even in our distress and trouble, we have been comforted because of your faith. 8 We can really live as long as you are standing securely with Yehovah. 9 How can we possibly thank Yehovah enough in return for all the joy that we have because of you, 10 other than truly longing before Yehovah, night and day, that we could see your faces, and perfect whatever might be lacking in your faith?
11 May Yehovah Himself, the Father of our Master Yeshua the Messiah, direct us on our way to you. 12 May He teach you to love each other and everyone else, just as we love you. 13 He’ll build your character, so that you’ll be faultlessly dedicated, in the presence of Yehovah our Father AT THE COMING of our Master Yeshua the Messiah with all His dedicated ones.

1st Thessalonians 4: So Friends, we ask you and strongly encourage you, by our Master Yeshua, to live your lives in the way you learned from us, and strive to please Yehovah, so you can make ever increasing progress. 2 You know the message we gave you from our Master Yeshua the Messiah.
3 It is Yehovah’s will that you live your lives in purity, and that you abstain from any illicit sex, 4 and that each of you would know how to control your vessel in dedication and honor, 5 not craving what is forbidden like the rest of the nations who have no knowledge of Yehovah. 6 You dont dare overstep the proper limits and take advantage of your Friends in this matter, because Yehovah avenges these things, as we told you about previously and attested to. 7 Yehovah didnt call you into an unclean life, but to one of purity. 8 So anyone who disregards these things isnt disregarding man, but Yehovah, who has given you His dedicated spirit.
9 Now concerning the love of our Friends, you dont need for me to write to you because you are inherently taught by Aloha to love each other. 10 Indeed you all love our Friends thruout Macedonia, but I would encourage you, Friends, to do so even more. 11 Strive to be at peace and mind your own business, working with your own hands as we directed you, 12 so you can live decent lives in relation to those outside of the assembly and not be dependent on anyone.
13 And Friends, I want you to know that you shouldnt mourn over those who have fallen asleep [1], as the rest of mankind, who have no expectation of good. 14 Because if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, we also believe that thru Yeshua, Yehovah will escort those who have fallen asleep back with Him. 15 We declare this to you on the Master’s own authority, that we who survive and are alive at the coming of our Master will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep [into the Kingdom]. 16 Our Master will personally come down from Heaven with a mandate, and with a voice like the chief Messenger and with Yehovah’s shofar, and the dead who belong to the Messiah will rise first! 17 Then, we who are still alive, having survived, will be carried away together with them into the clouds to meet our Master in the expanse. And we will be with our Master forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.

[1] Until Judgment Day, the dead are essentially “sleeping”, awaiting their judgment.

1st Thessalonians 5: But Friends, concerning times and dates, it is unnecessary for me write to you, 2 because you are well aware that The Day of Yehovah comes like a thieving false “minister” in the time of moral stupidity and darkness [1]. 3 As they are saying, “Peace and quiet”, suddenly destruction will overtake them like the labor pains of a pregnant woman and there is no escape.
4 But you, Friends, arent in darkness. That Day wont take you by surprise like a thieving false “minister”, 5 because you are all children of the light, and children of the day, you arent children of the night or children of darkness. 6 So let’s not sleep as everyone else does, but let’s stay awake and be sober. 7 Because those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, fall asleep at night. 8 But those of us who are children of the day should be rational and put on the mail-coat of faith and love and put on the helmet of anticipation of eternal Life, 9 because Yehovah hasnt destined us to wrath, but to obtaining eternal Life by our Master Yeshua the Messiah, 10 who died on our behalf so that whether we’re awake or asleep we can live together with Him. 11 So continue to encourage each other and help to strengthen each other.
12 Friends, we beg you to recognize those who who labor among you and preside over you in our Master, and advise you. 13 Esteem them very highly with abundant love, because of their work, and live in harmony with them. 14 Friends, we encourage you to admonish offenders, comfort the timid, sustain the weak and be patient with everyone. 15 Be certain to never repay evil with evil, but always seek opportunities for doing good to each other and towards everyone else.
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful for everything because that is Yehovah’s will, thru Yeshua the Messiah for you. 19 Dont suppress the spirit. 20 Dont reject inspired speech. 21 Analyze everything and hold tightly onto anything genuinely precious. 22 Stay away from anything that even appears to be wicked.
23 May the peace of Aloha make you entirely devout, and may your whole spirit [inner self psuche (psyche)] and body be protected till the coming of our Master Yeshua the Messiah. 24 The One who calls you is faithful, and He’ll continue to be.
25 Friends, pray for us. 26 Greet all of our Friends with a kiss “of Friendship”. 27 I solemnly commission you, by Yehovah, that you read this letter to all of our dedicated Friends. 28 May the compassion of our Master Yeshua the Messiah be with you. Aw-mane’.

2nd THESSALONIANS (Gabriel Version)

2nd Thessalonians 1: From Paul, Sylvanus and Timothy, to the assembly of Thessalonians belonging to Yehovah our Father and our Master Yeshua the Messiah:
2 May His compassion be with you, and peace, from Yehovah our Father, and from our Master Yeshua the Messiah.
3 Friends, we’re continually indebted to give thanks to Yehovah for you, as we should be because your faith is growing so greatly and each of you has love for the others that keeps on growing. 4 So much so that we tell everyone in the assemblies of Yehovah about you—about your faith and patience, amid all of the persecution and trials that you are enduring.
5 It is a demonstration of Yehovah’s righteous judgment. You appear to be worthy of His Kingdom because you are suffering so much for it. 6 It is a righteous decision of Yehovah’s to compensate those who are afflicting you now with tribulation as well! 7 Those of us you who are suffering tribulation now, He’ll cause to live again [1] with us at the revelation of our Master Yeshua the Messiah from Heaven, with a powerful array of His spirit Messengers. 8 He’ll execute vengeance with burning fire [2] on those who havent had a cherished knowledge of Yehovah, and refuse to submit to the Good News of our Master Yeshua the Messiah. 9 Their sentence is condemnationeternal destruction, being banished from the presence of Yehovah and from the splendor of His power, 10 on the Day when He comes to be honored by His faithful and to be held in admiration by His faithful ones. This includes you because you were persuaded by the Testimony we gave you.
11 We pray continually to Yehovah for you, asking that He will make you worthy of your invitation, and instill in you a strong desire to do good things, and every work of faith, with power, 12 so that the name of our Master Yeshua the Messiah will be praised thru you, and you thru Him, by the compassion of Yehovah and of our Master Yeshua the Messiah.

[1] The Aramaic is in agreement with 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 about the dead being raised! The Greek translations only promise “rest”, “relief” or “repose” at this most critical time, but up to hundreds, or even thousands of years in the grave should be enough rest! [2] There is a unique (so far as I know) disagreement among translators as to where to put the “burning fire”—either verse 7 or 8. But even more important is the disagreement about WHO IS IN THE FIRE! The 16 Greek versions I looked at had Yeshua and the “angels” in the fire, while the three Aramaic versions I checked had the wicked in the fire, as so many prophecies explain, such as Malachi 4:1-3. The context of this verse explains that the “vengeance” is for those who wont “submit”.

2nd Thessalonians 2: Friends, regarding the coming of our Master Yeshua the Messiah and our anticipated [1] assembly with Him, we urge you 2 not to be shaken up or troubled by any messages or spirits, or by a letter claiming to have been sent by us, as if the Day of Yehovah is imminent. 3 No one should deceive you in any way because that Day wont come prior to the apostasy [apostasia] and a certain man of lawlessness appearing, the son of destruction. 4 He is an adversary and is exalted above every so-called “god” and anything religiously honored. He’ll sit in Yehovah’s Temple and “prove” that he is Yehovah.
5 Dont you remember that when I was with you, I told you these things? 6 You know who it is who is now preventing his coming, but that he will appear at the appointed time. 7 Mystic Torah breakers are already at work, but they are only being hindered for now, until the one restraining them is taken from among us. 8 Then THE Torah breaker [anomos] will arrive, who our Master Yeshua will terminate by His very presence at His epiphany [epiphaneia]. 9 The appearance of the Torah breaker is by the supernatural work of Satan, with great power, miracles and deceitful illusions and every type of evil to deceive those who are dying, those who refused to love the truth that would Rescue them. 10 He will use every kind of lawlessness action to deceive those who are dying, because they refused to love and embrace the truths that could Rescue them. 11 This is why Yehovah will invite the superhuman power of deception for them, so that they may believe the lies, 12 then anyone who refuses to be persuaded of the truths and willingly chooses to violate justice can be summoned for judgment.
13 Dear Friends of our Master, thanks are always due to Yehovah, from us on your behalf, because Yehovah has chosen eternal Life for you from the beginning, by our being made pure by the spirit and by our conviction of the truth. 14 These are the ones who Yehovah called by name, by our Good News, so that you could share in the splendor of our Master Yeshua the Messiah. 15 So Friends, stand your ground and persevere in the body of instructions [teachings, commandments] that you have been taught, whether by what we said, or by our letter.
16 May our Master Yeshua the Messiah Himself, and Yehovah our Father, who has loved us, and given us the consolation of eternity and the anticipation of excellence thru His compassion, 17 comfort your thoughts and establish you in every good word and in every good work.

[1] The root word for this particular type of assembly means “to bring together to others already assembled”. This assembly will remove the barriers of time and space.

2nd Thessalonians 3: Friends, from now on, pray for us so that the word of Yehovah can spread rapidly everywhere and be praised there, as it is among you, 2 and so that we will be delivered from wicked and perverse men, since not everyone shares our convictions. 3 But Yehovah is faithful and He’ll establish you and protect you from the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in you thru Yehovah, that what we have relayed to you, you have done and will continue doing. 5 May Yehovah guide your minds toward loving Him and toward patiently enduring for the Messiah.
6 And Friends, we’re issuing instructions, by the authority of our Master Yeshua the Messiah, for you to back away from every professing Friend who lives in wickedness, rather than by the principles that you received from us. 7 You know how you should follow our example. We didnt live disorderly lives while among you. 8 We didnt eat anyone’s food without paying for it, rather, we worked night and day so that we wouldnt be a burden to any of you. 9 It wasnt because we have no right, but so that we could set an example for you—so that you would imitate us. 10 While we were with you, we also gave you the principle that anyone who doesnt wont work, shouldnt eat either.
11 We hear that some of you are living in wickedness and do nothing but meddling in other’s concerns. 12 For people like that, our declaration and encouragement by the authority of our Master Yeshua the Messiah is that they are to work at home and eat their own food. 13 Friends, you must not become weary in doing what is good.
14 If anyone doesnt acknowledge these written instructions then avoid them—keep no company with them so that they’ll be ashamed. 15 Yet dont regard them as an enemy, but caution them as a Friend.
16 May Yehovah the Peacemaker give you continual peace in every sense. May Yehovah be with you all.
17 Shlomo [Shalom], I, Paul, have written this to you in my own handwriting. It is a distinguishing mark in all of my letters.
18 Friends, may the compassion of Yeshua the Messiah be with you all, Aw-mane’.
