Introduction

Galatians 1: Paul, a apostle, not from men, nor by man, but by Yeshua the Messiah, and Yehovah’ His Father, who raised Him from the dead; 2 and all the brethren who are with me; to the assemblies in Galatia. 3 May merciful kindness be with you, and peace, from Yehovah the Father, and from our Master Yeshua the Messiah; 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this evil world, according to the will of Yehovah our Father: 5 to who be praise forever and ever. Amen. 6 I admire, how soon you have turned from the Messiah, who called you by his *merciful kindness*, to another Evangel; 7 which doesnt exist, except as there are some who would disquiet you, and are disposed to pervert the *Good News* of the Messiah. 8 But if we, or a “messenger” from heaven, were to evangelize* [2097] to you a different evangelism* [2097] than we have, let him be *rotten meat* [331]. 9 As I have just said, I’ll say again, if anyone evangelizes to you a parallel* [3844, para] evangelism differing from what has already been transmitted to you, let him be *rotten meat*. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I had till now pleased men, I should not have been a servant of the Messiah. 11 But I make known to you, my brethren, that the *Good News* announced by me, was not from man. 12 For I didnt receive it and learn it from man, but I had it by revelation from Yeshua the Messiah. 13 For you have heard of my former course of life in Judaism, that I persecuted the assembly of God exceedingly, and destroyed it: 14 and that I went much farther in Judaism than many of my contemporaries who were of my nation, and was peculiarly zealous for the doctrine of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased him, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his *merciful kindness*, 16 to reveal his Son by me, that I should proclaim him among the Nations; [immediately], I didnt open it to flesh and blood; 17 nor did I go to Jerusalem, to them who were emissaries* before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus: 18 and after three years, I went to Jerusalem to see Cephas; and I remained with him fifteen days. 19 But others of the emissaries* I saw not, except James, our Lord’s brother. 20 In the things which I am writing to you, Look, before God! I lie not. 21 After that, I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22The assemblies in Judea which were in the Messiah; didnt know me personally: 23 but this only had they heard, that he who before persecuted us, now preaches that faith which in time preceding he subverted: 24 and they praised God in me.

Galatians 2: Again, after fourteen years, I went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas; and I took with me Titus. 2 I went up by revelation: and I explained to them the *Good News* which I announce among the Nations; and I stated it to them who were esteemed prominent, between myself and them: for fear that I should have run, or might run in vain. 3 Also Titus, who was with me, and was a Gentile, was not compelled to be circumcised. 4 In regard to the false brethren, who had crept in to spy out the liberty we have in Yeshua the Messiah, in order to bring me under subjection; 5 not for the space of an hour, did we throw ourselves into subjection to them; so that the truth of the *Good News* might remain with you. 6 They who were esteemed prominent, (what they were, I care not; for God regards not the persons of men,)_even these persons added nothing to me. 7 But, otherwise; for they saw, that the *Good News* of the uncircumcised was entrusted to me, as to Cephas was entrusted that of the circumcision. 8 For he who was operative with Cephas, and commissioned* [651] to the circumcision, was also operative with me in the great commission to the Nations. 9 James, Cephas, and John, who were accounted pillars, when they perceived the *merciful kindness* that was given to me, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we should labor among the Nations, and they among the circumcision. 10 Only they desired that we would be mindful of the needy; and I was solicitous to do the same. 11 But when Cephas was come to Antioch, I reprimanded him to his face; because they were stumbled by him. 12 For before certain ones came from James, he ate with the Nations: but when they came, he withdrew himself, and separated; because he was afraid of them of the circumcision. 13 The rest of the Jews also were with him in this thing; insomuch that even Barnabas was induced to regard persons. 14 When I saw, that they didnt walk correctly, in the truth of the Evangel, I said to Cephas, before them all: If you are a Jew, and lives in the Gentile way, and not in the Jewish, why do you compel the Nations to live in the Jewish way? 15 For if we, who is Jews by nature, and arent sinners of the Nations, 16 because we know that a man is not made just by the works of the law, but by faith in Yeshua the Messiah; even we have believed in Yeshua the Messiah, in order to be made just by faith in the Messiah, and not by the works of the law: for, by the deeds of the law, no flesh is made just. 17 If, while we seek to become just by the Messiah, we are found to be ourselves sinners, is Yeshua the Messiah therefore the deacon* [1249, diakonos] of sin? Far be it! 18 For if I should build up again the things I had demolished, I should show myself to be a transgressor of the precept. 19 For I, by the law, have become dead to the law, that I might live to God; and I am crucified with the Messiah. 20 From now on it is no more I who live, but the Messiah lives in me: and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I dont spurn the *merciful kindness* of God. For if righteousness is by means of the law, the Messiah died in vain.

Galatians 3: O you Galatians, deficient in understanding! Who has fascinated you? for note, Yeshua the Messiah has been portrayed as in a picture, crucified before your eyes. 2 This only would I learn from you, Was it by works of the law, that you received the Spirit? or by the hearing of faith? 3 You so foolish, that having begun in the Spirit, you now would consummate in the flesh? 4 Have you borne all these things in vain? And I would, it were in vain! 5 He therefore who gives the Spirit in you, and who works miracles among you, does he these things by the deeds of the law? or by the hearing of faith? 6 In like manner Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know you, therefore, that those who are of faith, they are the children of Abraham. 8 For, because God knew beforehand that the Nations would be made just by faith, he previously announced it to Abraham; as says the holy Scriptures, In you’ll all nations be blessed. 9 Believers, therefore, it is, who is blessed with believing Abraham. 10 For they who is of the deeds of the law, are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who will not do every thing written in this law. 11 That no one becomes just before God, by the law, is manifest: because it is written, The just by faith, will live. 12 Now the law is not of faith; but, whoever will do the things written in it, will live by them. 13 But the Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the law, and has been a curse for us; (for it is written, Cursed is everyone that is hanged on a tree;) 14 that the blessing of Abraham might be on the Nations, thru Yeshua the Messiah; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit by faith. 15 My brethren, I speak as among men; a man’s covenant which is confirmed, no one sets aside, or change any thing in it. 16 Now to Abraham was the promise made, and to his seed. And it told him, not, to your seeds, as being many; but to your seed, as being one, which is the Messiah. 17 This I say: That the covenant which was previously confirmed by God in the Messiah, the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cant set it aside, and nullify the promise. 18 If the inheritance were by the law, it would not be by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 19 What then is the Law? It was added on account of transgression, until that seed should come, to who belonged the promise: and the Law was given by holy Messengers thru a mediator. 20 Now a mediator is not of one; but God is one. 21 Is the law then opposed to the promise of God? Far be it. For if a law had been given, which could make alive, certainly, righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scriptures has enclosed all under sin, that the promise by faith in Yeshua the Messiah might be given to those who believe. 23 But before the faith came, the law kept us shut up to the faith that was to be revealed. 24 The law, therefore, was a monitor for us to the Messiah, that we might become just by faith. 25 But the faith having come, we arent under the monitor. 26 For you are all the children of God, by faith in Yeshua the Messiah. 27 For they who have been immersed* into the Messiah, have put on the Messiah. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free-born, neither male nor female; for you are all one in Yeshua the Messiah. 29 If you are the Messiah’s, then are you the seed of Abraham, and heirs by the promise.

Galatians 4: But I say, that the heir, so long as he is a child, doesnt differ from a servant, altho he is lord of all; 2 but he is under supervisors and stewards, until the time established by his father. 3 So also we, while we were children, were in subordination under the elements of the world. 4 But when the *right time* [4138] arrived, God sent away* [1821] His Son; who then *came into existence* [1096] by a woman, and *came into existence* under the Law; 5 so that He could redeem those who were under the Law; so that we could receive sonship* [5206]! 6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, who cries, Father, our Father. 7 therefore, you are no longer servants, but sons; and if sons, then heirs of God; thru Yeshua the Messiah. 8 For then, when you knew not God, you served them who in their nature arent gods. 9 But now, since you have known God, or rather, have been known by God, you turn yourselves again to the weak and beggarly elements, and wish again to be under them! 10 you observe days and moons, and set times, and years! 11 I am afraid, for fear that I have labored among you in vain. 12 Be like me; because I have been like you. My brethren, I implore you, you have not injured me at all. 13 For you know, that under the infirmity of my flesh, I at first announced the *Good News* to you; 14 and the trial in my flesh, you didnt despise nor nauseate: but you received me as an angel of God, and as Yeshua the Messiah. 15 Where then is your blessedness? For I testify of you, that if it had been possible, you would have plucked out your eyes, and have given them to me. 16 Have I become an enemy to you, by preaching to you the truth? 17 They are zealous towards you, yet not for good; but they wish to shut you up, that you may be zealous towards them. 18 It is a good thing to be zealous at all times in good things; and not merely when I am present with you. 19 you are my children, of who I travail in birth again, till the Messiah be formed in you. 20 I could wish to be now with you, and to change the tone of my voice; because I am astonished at you. 21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondmaid, and one by the free woman. 23 But he who was by the bond maid, was born after the flesh; and he who was by the free woman, was by the promise. 24 These are allegorical of the two covenants; the one from mount Sinai, which brings forth for bondage, is Hagar. 25 For Hagar is the mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds with the present Jerusalem, and is serving in bondage, she and her children. 26 But the Jerusalem above, is the free woman, who is the mother of us. 27 For it is written, Be joyful, you barren, who bear not: exult and shout, you who have not travailed: for more numerous are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman. 28 Now we, my brethren, like Isaac, are the children of the promise. 29 As then, he who was born after the flesh, persecuted him who was born of the Spirit; so also is it now. 30 But what says the Scriptures? Cast out the bondmaid, and her son; because the son of the bondmaid will not inherit with the son of the free woman. 31 So then, my brethren, we arent sons of the bond-woman, but sons of the free woman.

Galatians 5: Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty with which the Messiah has made us free; and dont be subjected again to the yoke of bondage. 2 Look, I Paul say to you, That if you become circumcised, the Messiah is of no advantage to you. 3 Again, I testify to every one who becomes circumcised, that he is bound to fulfill the whole law. 4 you have renounced the Messiah, you who seek justification by the law: and you have apostatized from *merciful kindness* . 5 For we, thru the Spirit, which is from faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness. 6 For, in the Messiah Yeshua, circumcision is nothing, neither is uncircumcised, but the faith that is perfected by love. 7 You did run well: who has interrupted you, that you acquiesce not in the truth? 8 The bias of your mind is not from him who called you. 9 A little leaven leavens the whole mass. 10 I confide in you thru our Lord, that you’ll entertain no other thoughts. And he who disquiets you, will bear his judgment, whoever he may be. 11 I, my brethren, if I still preached circumcision, why should I suffer persecution? has the offensiveness of the cross ceased? 12 But I would, that they who disquiet you, were actually cut off. 13 You, my brethren, have been called into liberty: only let not your liberty be an occasion to the flesh; but, by love, you be servants to each other. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one sentence; in this, you’ll love your neighbor as yourself. 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware, for fear that you be consumed one by another. 16 I say: Walk you in the Spirit; and never follow the cravings of the flesh. 17 For the flesh craves that which is repugnant to the Spirit; and the Spirit craves that which is repugnant to the flesh: and the two are the opposites of each other, so that you dont that which you desire. 18 But if you are guided by the Spirit, you arent under the law. 19 For the works of the flesh are known, which are prostitution, impurity, lasciviousness, 20 idol-worship, magic, malice, contention, rivalry, wrath, strife, divisions, discords, 21 envy, murder, drunkenness, reveling, and all the like things. Those who perpetrate these things, as I have before told you, and also now tell you, dont inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruits of the Spirit are, love, joy, peace, long suffering, suavity, kindness, fidelity, modesty, patience. 23 Against these there stands no law. 24 They who is of the Messiah, have crucified their flesh, with all its passions and its cravings. 25 Let us therefore live in the Spirit; and let us press on after the Spirit. 26 Let us not be vain-glorious, despising one another, and envying one another.

Galatians 6: My brethren, if one of you should be overtaken in a fault, do you who is of the Spirit recover him, in a spirit of meekness: and you be cautious, for fear that you also be tempted. 2 Bear you one another’s burdens, that so you may fulfill the law of the Messiah. 3 For if any one thinks himself to be something, when he is not, he deceives himself. 4 But let a man examine his own conduct; and then his glorying will be within himself, and not in others. 5 for every man must take up his own load. 6 Let him that hears the word, communicate to him who instructs him, in all good things. 7 dont mistake; God is not deceived; for what a man sows, that also will he reap. 8 He who sows in the flesh, reaps from the flesh corruption: and he who sows in the Spirit, will from the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 While we do what is good, let it not be wearisome to us; for the time will come when we will reap, and it wont be tedious to us. 10 Now, therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us practice good works towards all men, and especially towards them of the household of faith. 11 Look, this letter have I written to you with my own hand. 12 They who is disposed to praise in the flesh, they urge you to become circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted on account of the cross of the Messiah. 13 For not even they themselves, who is circumcised, keep the law: but they wish you to become circumcised, that they may praise in your flesh. 14 But as for me, let me not glory, except in the cross of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah; by who the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world. 15 For in Yeshua the Messiah neither circumcision is anything nor uncircumcision, but it is a new conversion* [1] that matters. 16 Peace be on those who *walk straight*—who *walk the line* [2583], and mercy on the Israel of Yehovah. 17 From now on let no one put trouble on me; for I bear in my body the marks of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 18 My brethren, the *merciful kindness* of our Master Yeshua the Messiah, be with your spirit. Amen.

End of the letter to the Galatians; which was written from Rome.

[1] While this word has other applications, this reference would certainly have the doctrinal application of Strong’s 2737,1b1b: “after a rabbinical usage (by which a man converted from idolatry to Judaism was called)”, in essence converted again.
