The Holy *Good News* announcement of John the herald, that he spoke in Greek, in Ephesus.

Introduction

John 1: In the beginning, was the Word; and the Word was with Yehovah’; and the Word was Yehovah. 2 He was in the beginning with Yehovah. 3 Everything was made by His hand; and without Him, nothing at all existed. 4 Life was in Him; and the life was the light of humanity* [444, anthropos]. 5 This light shines in the darkness; and the darkness couldnt overtake it. 6 There was a man sent from Yehovah, whose name was John. 7 He came to testify, to bear witness, about the Light. 8 He was not the Light himself, but came to bear witness concerning the light. 9 The true Light shines on everyone who comes into the world. 10 He was in the world; and the world was made by His hand; but the world didnt know Him. 11 He came to His own people; and His own people didnt accept Him. 12 But to those who accept Him, He gives* the ability [1849] to become the children of Yehovah; to those who believe in His name; 13 who are born, not of blood, nor of the desires of carnality* [4561], nor of the determination* [2307] of humanity*, but of Yehovah. 14 The Word became physical*, and lived among us. We saw His splendor, splendor like that of the only Child of the Father. He was full of *merciful kindness* and truth. 15 John testified of Him, and cried, “This is the One, of whom I said, ‘He comes after me, yet is before me; because He preceded me’. 16 Of His abundance we have all received, and *merciful kindness* for *merciful kindness*. 17 For the Torah* was given by the hand of Moses; but truth and *merciful kindness* was by the hand of Yeshua the Messiah. 18 No man has ever seen Yehovah. But the One who is in the bosom of His Father, the unique Son of Yehovah, has declared Him. 19 This is the testimony of John, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to him, to ask him, “Who are you”? 20 He openly admitted, “I am not the Messiah”. 21 They asked him again, “Who then? Are you Elijah”? He replied, “I am not”. Are you a prophet? And he said, “No”. 22 They asked him: “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself”? 23 He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘make smooth the way of the Master’, as the prophet Isaiah said. 24 Those who were sent, were Pharisees. 25 They asked him, “Why then do you baptize, if you arent the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor a prophet”? 26 John told them, “I immerse* with water; but among you stands One, whom you dont know. 27 He is coming after me, and was before me, whose shoe strings I am not worthy to untie”. 28 These things happened in Bethany, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John saw Yeshua coming towards him, and said, “Look, the Lamb of Yehovah, who takes away the sins of the world”. 30 “This is the One of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man, who is before me, for He was prior to me’. 31 I didnt know Him; but that He might be known to Israel, so I have come immersing* with water. 32 John testified, “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven, like a dove, and it rested on Him”. 33 I didnt know Him; but the One who sent me to immerse* with water, told me: “The One on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest, He baptizes with the Holy Spirit”. 34 I saw and I testify that this is the Son of Yehovah. 35 The next day, John was standing with two of his disciples. 36 He looked at Yeshua as He walked, and said, “Look, the Lamb of Yehovah”! 37 His two disciples heard him when he said it, and they went after Yeshua. 38 Yeshua turned, and saw them coming after Him, and He asked them, “What do you want”? They answered, “Rabbi, where are You staying”? 39 He said, “Come, and see”. So they came and saw where He was staying; and they were with Him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of those who heard John and followed Yeshua was Andrew, Simon’s brother. 41 He first saw Simon his brother, and told Him, “We have found the Messiah”. 42 He brought him to Yeshua. Yeshua looked at him, and said “You are Simon the son of Jona; you’ll be called Cephas”. 43 The next day, Yeshua wanted to go to Galilee, He found Philip and told him, “Come follow Me”. 44 Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Simon. 45 Philip found Nathaniel, and told him, “We have found the One of whom Moses wrote in the Torah* and the Prophets, Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 Nathaniel asked him, “Can anything good come from Nazareth? Philip said, “Come and see”. 47 Yeshua saw Nathaniel coming toward Him, and said of him, “Look a real Israelite, in whom there is no deceit”. 48 Nathaniel asked Him, “How do you know me”? Yeshua replied, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you”. 49 Nathaniel replied, “Rabbi; You are the Son of Yehovah; You are the King of Israel”. 50 Yeshua told him, “Because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree, you believe? You’ll see greater things than these. 51 He added, “Be assured, later you’ll see heaven opened, and the holy Messengers of Yehovah ascending and descending to the Son of man.

John 2: On the third day there was a wedding banquet in Cana, a city of Galilee, and Yeshua’s mother was there. 2 Yeshua and His disciples were also invited to the wedding. 3 They ran out of wine, and His mother told Yeshua, “They have no wine”. 4 Yeshua asked her, “What does that have to do with Me? My hour has not yet arrived”. 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he tells you to do, do it. 6 There were six stone water pots set aside for the purification of Jews, each containing two or three quadrantalia. 7 Yeshua told them, “Fill those water pots with water”. So they filled them to the top. 8 He told them, “Draw some now, and take it to the host of the banquet”. So they took it. 9 When the host of the banquet tasted the water, that had become wine, and did not know where it came from, (although the servants knew, because they had filled the pots with water,) the host of the banquet called the bridegroom, 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the good wine first, and when they are satisfied, then brings out the inferior; but you have kept the best wine till now”. 11 This is the first sign that Yeshua did at Cana in Galilee, showing His splendor; and His disciples believed in Him. 12 Afterwards He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and His brothers and His disciples; and they were there a few days. 13 The Passover of the Jews drew near; and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple He found those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the currency exchangers sitting there. 15 He made Himself a whip from a cord, and drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep and the oxen and the bankers; and He scattered their money, and overturned their tables. 16 He told those who sold doves, “Take these things away; and dont make My Father’s house a house of merchandising”. 17 His disciples remembered that it is written, “The zeal of Your house has devoured Me”. 18 But the Jews replied, “What sign will you show us, since you are doing these things”? 19 Yeshua replied, “Demolish this temple, and in three days I will rebuild it again”. 20 The Jews said, “Forty six years were required to build this temple, and you would rebuild it in three days? 21 But He spoke of the temple of His body. 22 After He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered what He had said; and they believed the Scriptures, and the truths that Yeshua had said. 23 While Yeshua was in Jerusalem, at the Feast of the Passover, many believed in Him, because they saw the signs that He did. 24 But Yeshua did not confide in any of them; because He knew everyone: 25 He didnt need for anyone to testify of Him regarding anything; for He knew what is in humanity*.

John 3: There was a man of the Pharisees there, whose name was Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews. 2 He came to Yeshua at night, and told Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher sent from Yehovah; for no one can perform the signs that You do, unless Yehovah is with Him”. 3 Yeshua replied, “I tell you with assurance that unless a man is born again, he cant see the Kingdom of Yehovah”. 4 Nicodemus asked Him, “How can an old man be born? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born”? 5 Yeshua replied, “Most assuredly, I tell you, that unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cant enter the Kingdom of Yehovah. 6 Those born of flesh, ARE composed offlesh; and those born of the Spirit, ARE composed of spirit. 7 Dont be surprised when I tell you that you must be born again. 8 The wind blows where it wants; and you hear it sing* [5456], but you dont know where it came from, or where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus asked Him, “How can these things be”? 10 Yeshua asked, “Are you a teacher of Israel, without understanding these things”? 11 Assuredly, I tell you, “We speak, what We know; and We testify to what We have seen; but you dont accept Our testimony”. 12 If I have spoken to you of earthly things and you dont believe them; how could you believe, if I spoke of heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven, but the One who descended from heaven—the Son of man who is in heaven. 14 As Moses elevated the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must be lifted up; 15 so that everyone who believes in Him, will not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For this is how Yehovah loved the world; He gave His unique* [3439] Son, that whosoever believes in Him, would not die, but would have eternal life. 17 For Yehovah didnt send His Son into the world, to condemn the world; but that the world, because of Him could be saved*. 18 Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned; but those who dont believe are already condemned; because they havent believed in the name of the unique* Son of Yehovah. 19 This is the grounds for condemnation, that light has come into the world, and humanity* has loved darkness rather than light, for their deeds have been evil. 20 for everyone who does abominable things, hates the light, and doesnt come to the light, for fear that their deeds would be exposed. 21 But anyone who does right, comes to the light, so that their works can be seen* to be done in Yehovah. 22 After these things, Yeshua and His disciples came into the land of Judea; and there He stayed with them, and baptized. 23 John also was immersing* in Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there; and the people came, and were baptized. 24 For John had not yet been thrown into prison. 25 One of John’s disciples and a certain Jew had a dispute concerning purification. 26 They came to John, and asked him, “Rabbi, the One who was with you beyond Jordan, of whom you testified; He also baptizes; and many are following him. 27 John replied, “A man cant receive* anything by his own decision, unless it is given to him from heaven. 28 You are my witnesses, that I said, “I am not the Messiah, but sent to go before Him. 29 He who has the bride, is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. This is my abundant joy. 30 He must increase, and I must decrease. 31 For He who comes from above, is above all; and he who is from the earth, is earthly, and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven, is above all; 32 and what He has seen and heard, He testifies; but no one receives His testimony. 33 But he who receives His testimony [1], verifies*, that Yehovah is true. 34 For the One Yehovah sent speaks the truths of Yehovah; for Yehovah has not given the Spirit by measure to Him. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has put everything into His hands. 36 He who believes in the Son, has eternal life; but he who doesnt obey the Son, will not see life, for the wrath of Yehovah will not depart from him.

[1] In Revelation, John called this “the Testimony of Yeshua the Messiah”.

John 4: Yeshua knew that the Pharisees had heard that He had made many disciples, and immersed* more than John. 2 Yet Yeshua Himself did not baptize, but His disciples did. 3 He left Judea, and went again into Galilee. 4 In going, it was necessary to pass thru the middle of the Samaria. 5 He came to a city of the Samaritans called Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there. Yeshua, weary from traveling, sat by the well; it was about the sixth hour. 7 A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Yeshua asked, “Give Me some water to drink”. 8 His disciples had gone to the city, to buy themselves some food. 9 The Samaritan woman asked Him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask me for a drink, since I am a Samaritan woman? For the Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans”. 10 Yeshua replied, “If you had known the gift of Yehovah, and who it is who asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living waters”. 11 The woman replied, “Master, You have no bucket, and the well is deep, how do You draw living waters? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well, and drank from it himself, and his children, and his flocks”? 13 Yeshua replied, “Whoever drinks these waters, will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks the waters that I will give them wont thirst again forever; but the water that I give them will be in them a well of water, springing up to eternal life”. 15 The woman said, “Master give me these waters, so that I wont thirst again, and have to come and draw from here”. 16 Yeshua told her, “Go, call your husband, and come here”. 17 She said, “I have no husband”. Yeshua replied, “You have stated correctly that you have no husband; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one who is with you have now, is not your husband. In this you spoke correctly”. 19 The woman said, “Master, I perceive that you are a prophet”. 20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain; but you Jews say, that Jerusalem is the place where it is proper to worship”. 21 Yeshua said, “Woman, believe Me, the time is coming, when you wont worship the Father on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem. 22 You dont know what you worship, but we worship what we know; for salvation* is from the Jews. 23 But the time comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father *is seeking* this type of worshipers. 24 For Yehovah is Spirit; and those who worship Him, must worship Him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman replied, “I know that the Messiah will come; and when He comes, He will teach us everything”. 26 Yeshua said, “I am the One, speaking with you”. 27 While He was speaking, His disciples came. They were amazed that He would converse with a woman; yet no one said, “What do you want” or, “Why are you talking to her”? 28 The woman left her water pot, and went to the city, and told the people: 29 “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did; isnt He the Messiah”? 30 The people left the city, and came to Him. 31 In the mean time, His disciples spoke with Him and urged Him to eat. 32 But He said, “I have food to eat that you are unaware of”. 33 The disciples said among themselves, has anyone brought Him something to eat? 34 Yeshua said, “My food is to do the will of the One who sent Me, and to accomplish His work”. 35 “Dont you say that the harvest is in four months? But look! I ask you to look around, look at the fields; they are already white, and ready for the harvest. 36 He who harvests, receives wages, and gathers the fruit of eternal life; both the sower and the reaper equally rejoice. 37 For the proverb is true, that one is the sower, and another is the harvester. 38 I sent you to harvest where you hadnt labored; for others had toiled, and you joined in their labor. 39 Many Samaritans in that city believed in Him, because of the conversation with the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I ever did”. 40 When these Samaritans came to Him, they requested that He stay with them; so He remained with them for two days. 41 Many believed in Him, because of His dialog. 42 They said to the woman, “From now on we will believe in Him, not just because of your statements; for we have heard Him ourselves, and we know that He truly is the Messiah, the Savior* of the world”. 43 After two days Yeshua left there and went into Galilee. 44 For Yeshua Himself testified, that a prophet is not honored in His own city. 45 When He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the signs that He did in Jerusalem at the Feast, for they too had gone to the Feast. 46 Yeshua came again to Cana of Galilee, where He made the water into wine. In Capernaum there was a king’s servant, whose son was sick. 47 He heard that Yeshua had come from Judea to Galilee; so he went to Him, and plead with Him to come down and heal his son; for he was near death. 48 Yeshua told him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you wont believe”. 49 The king’s servant asked him, “Master, come down, before the child dies”. 50 Yeshua replied, “Go, your son is alive. The man believed what Yeshua told him, so he left”. 51 As he was traveling, his servants met him, and informed him; “Your son lives”. 52 He asked them, at what time he recovered, and they replied, “Yesterday, at the seventh hour the fever left him”. 53 His father knew, that it was during that hour that Yeshua said, “Your son lives”. He believed, as well as everyone in his household. 54 This again was the second sign that Yeshua did, when He came from Judea to Galilee.

John 5: After these things the Jews were celebrating a Feast, and Yeshua went to Jerusalem. 2 There was a certain place of immersing* in Jerusalem that was called in Hebrew Bethesda; there were five porches in it. 3 In them a great number of sick, blind, lame and withered were laid, all waiting for the moving of the waters. 4 For a holy Messenger, from time to time, descended into the pool, and moved the waters. The first one in after the waters were moved was cured of whatever disease he had. 5 A certain man was there, who had been diseased for thirty-eight years. 6 Yeshua saw him lying there, and knew that he had been diseased for a long time. He asked, “Would you like to be healed”? 7 The sick man said, “Yes Master, but I have no one who, when the water is moved, will put me into the pool; as I am coming, another descends before me”. 8 Yeshua told him, “Arise, take up your cot, and walk”. 9 Immediately the man was healed; and he arose, took up his cot, and walked; and it was a Sabbath day. 10 The Jews said to the one who was healed, “It is the Sabbath; it is not Lawful for you to carry your cot”. 11 But he told them, “The One who made me whole, told me, ‘Take up your cot and walk’”. 12 They asked, “Who is the Man who told you, ‘Take up your cot and walk’”? 13 But the man who was healed didnt know who He was; for Yeshua had slipped away in the great crowd that was present. 14 After a while, Yeshua found him in the temple, and told him, “Look, you are now healed; but dont sin again, because something worse will come on you than before”. 15 The man went and told the Jews that it was Yeshua who had cured him. 16 For this reason, the Jews persecuted Yeshua, and tried their best to kill Him; because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Yeshua told them, “My Father has been working until now, and I work as well. 18 For this, the Jews wanted to kill Him all the more, not only because He had “broken” the Sabbath, but because He had said of Yehovah, that He was His Father, and had made Himself equaled with Yehovah. 19 Yeshua told them, “With certainty, I tell you that the Son can do nothing of His own will, but what He sees the Father do, for whatever the Father does, the Son does also. 20 For the Father loves His Son, and shows Him everything that He does; and He will show Him greater works than these so that you may be amazed. 21 For as the Father raises the dead, and gives them life again; likewise the Son gives life to whoever He wants. 22 Nor does the Father judge anyone, because He has given all judgment to the Son; 23 so that everyone should honor the Son, as He honors the Father. He who doesnt honor the Son, doesnt honor the Father who sent Him. 24 With assurance, I tell you, “He who hears My truths, and believes in the One who sent Me, has eternal life, and wont come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life”. 25 Assuredly, I tell you, “The hour comes, and even now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Yehovah; and those who hear, will live. 26 For, as the Father has life in Himself, so He has given to the Son also, to have life in Himself. 27 Furthermore He has also given Him authority to execute judgment [1], for He is the Son of man. 28 Dont be amazed at that; for the hour comes when everyone in their graves will hear His voice; 29 and will come out; those who have done good, to the Resurrection of Life, and those who have done evil, to the Resurrection of Condemnation [2]. 30 I can do nothing of My own will; but as I hear, so I judge. My judgment is just; for I dont seek My own will, but the will of the One who sent Me. 31 If I were to bear testimony about Myself, My testimony would be invalid. 32 There is another who bears testimony concerning Me; and I know that the testimony that He bears about Me is true. 33 You sent to John; and he testified to the truth. 34 I have not received testimony from men, but I say these things, that you may be saved*. 35 He was a burning and shining lamp; and you were willing to rejoice in his light for a while. 36 But I have a testimony that is greater than John’s; for the works that My Father has given Me to accomplish, these works that I do are a witness that the Father has sent Me. 37 The Father who sent Me testifies of Me. You have not heard His voice at any time, nor have you seen His form. 38 His truths dont live in you, because you dont believe in the One He has sent. 39 Search the Scriptures; for in them, you think, there is eternal life for you; and they testify of Me. 40 You are unwilling to come to Me, that eternal life may be yours. 41 I dont receive praise from men. 42 But I know you, that the love of Yehovah is not within you. 43 I came in the name of My Father, and you didnt receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you’ll receive him! 44 How can you believe, who receive praise from one another, but not want the praise that comes from Yehovah alone? 45 Do you suppose that I will accuse you before the Father? There is one who will accuse you, that being Moses, on whom you rely. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would also believe Me; for Moses wrote about Me. 47 But if you dont believe his writings, how will you believe My words?

[1] The [Aramaic] punctuation here differs from the Greek, and greatly alters the sense.

[2] This statement alludes to Daniel’s Judgment Day statement (12: 1-3). Judgment Day will occur during the most horrific time in world history. Yet, “at that time your people [Israel] will be delivered”.

John 6: Afterward, Yeshua went to the other side of the sea of Galilee, that is the sea of Tiberias. 2 Great crowds followed Him because they had seen the signs that He did for the sick. 3 Yeshua climbed a mountain, and He seated Himself with His disciples there. 4 The Passover, a Feast that the Jews celebrate, was near. 5 Yeshua looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him; and He asked Philip, “Where will we buy bread, so that these can eat”? 6 He asked this to test him; for He knew what He was about to do. 7 Philip replied, “Two hundred denarii in bread would not be sufficient for them, so that everyone could have at least a little”. 8 One of His disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Cephas, said; 9 “There is a lad here, who has with him five cakes of barley, and two fish; but what good are those for all these people”? 10 Yeshua told them, “Have all the people sit”. Now there was a large pasture* there; and the people sitting numbered five thousand. 11 Yeshua took the bread, and blessed, and distributed it to those who sat. The same with the fish; as much as they wanted. 12 When they were satisfied, He told His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain so that nothing is wasted”. 13 They gathered and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of what remained after they had eaten the five barley cakes. 14 When the people saw the sign that Yeshua did, they said, “Certainly, this is the prophet who was to come into the world”. 15 Yeshua knew that they were about to come and take Him by force, and make Him King; so He went to a mountain to be alone. 16 That evening His disciples went down to the sea, 17 and sat in a boat, and were going over to Capernaum. Darkness came, and Yeshua had not come to them. 18 The sea was raging against them, for a violent wind was blowing. 19 They had gone about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, when they saw Yeshua walking on the sea. As He came near the boat, they were afraid. 20 But Yeshua told them, “It is I; dont be afraid”. 21 They were glad to receive Him into the boat. Immediately the boat landed where they were going. 22 The next day the crowd that had remained on the other side of the sea, saw that there was no other boat there, except the one that the disciples embarked on, and that Yeshua hadnt embarked in the boat with His disciples; 23 yet other boats had come from Tiberias, near the location where they ate the bread when Yeshua blessed it. 24 When the crowd saw that Yeshua was not there, nor His disciples, they left in boats, and came to Capernaum, eagerly looking for Yeshua. 25 When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here”? 26 Yeshua replied, “Assuredly, I tell you, you arent looking for Me because you saw the signs, but because you ate the bread and were satisfied. 27 Dont work for food that perishes, but for the food that leads to eternal life, that the Son of man will give you; for Yehovah the Father has confirmed Him. 28 They asked Him, “What could we do, in order to work the works of Yehovah”? 29 Yeshua replied, “This is the work of Yehovah, that you believe in the One He has sent”. 30 They asked Him, “What sign will You do, so that we can see and believe in You? What will You do? 31 Our fathers ate manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat’”. 32 Yeshua told them, “Assuredly, I tell you, Moses didnt give you bread from heaven; but My Father gives you the real bread from heaven”. 33 For the bread of Yehovah is the One who came down from heaven, and gives life to the world. 34 They replied, “Master, give us this bread continually”. 35 Yeshua told them, “I am the Bread of Life. Anyone who comes to Me will not hunger; and anyone who believes in Me will never thirst ever again. 36 But I told you, that you have seen Me, and still dont believe. 37 Everyone that My Father gave to Me will come to Me; and no one who comes to Me will be cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of the One who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the One who sent Me, that whatever He has given to Me, I would lose none of it, but would raise it up during the Last Day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in Him, will have eternal life; and I will raise them up during the Last Day. 41 Then the Jews grumbled at Him, because He said, “I am the bread that has descended from heaven”. 42 They said, “Isnt this Yeshua, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? And how does he say, ‘I came down from heaven’”? 43 Yeshua replied, “Dont grumble at each other. 44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me, draws them; and I will raise them up during the Last Day. 45 For it was written, by the prophet, “They will all be taught of Yehovah. So whoever hears from the Father, and learns from Him, comes to Me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who has come from Yehovah; He has seen the Father. 47 Assuredly, I tell you, that for anyone who believes in Me, there is eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate manna, in the wilderness, and they died. 50 But this is the bread that comes from heaven, that a person can eat it, and not die. 51 I am the bread of life who has come down from heaven; if anyone eats this bread, they will live forever. The bread that I will give is My body, that I will give for the life of the world. 52 Then the Jews contended with each other, and asked, “How can He give us His body to eat? 53 Yeshua told them, “Assuredly, I tell you, that unless you eat the body of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life within you. 54 But anyone who eats My body, and drinks My blood has eternal life; and I will raise them up during the Last Day. 55 For My body is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. 56 He who eats My body, and drinks My blood, lives in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father has sent Me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on Me will also live because of Me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not as your fathers ate manna, and died; whoever eats this bead will live forever”. 59 He said these things in the synagogue, while teaching at Capernaum. 60 Many of His disciples who heard Him, said, “These are difficult words. Who can understand them”? 61 Yeshua intuitively knew that His disciples complained about this; so He asked them, “Does this offend you”? 62 What if you were to see the Son of man ascend to where He was from the beginning! 63 It is the Spirit that gives life; the body profits nothing. The truths that I speak with you are Spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who dont believe. For Yeshua knew, from the beginning, who they were who didnt believe, and who it was who would betray Him. 65 He told them, “This is why I told you that no one can come to Me, unless it is granted to him by My Father”. 66 Because of these statements, many of His disciples turned back, and didnt follow His way anymore. 67 Yeshua asked the twelve, “Do you also want to leave”? 68 Simon Cephas replied, “Master, to whom should we go? You have the truths of eternal life. 69 We believe and know that you are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”. 70 Yeshua asked them, “Havent I chosen you twelve? Yet one of you *sides with the devil* [1228]”. 71 He said this about Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he would later betray Him, being one of the twelve.

John 7: After these things Yeshua went to Galilee, for He would not go to Judea, because the Jews were trying to kill Him. 2 The Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was near. 3 Yeshua’s brothers told Him, “Leave here, and go into Judea; so that Your disciples can see the works You do. 4 For no one does anything in secret, if he really wants to be seen. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world”. 5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him. 6 Yeshua told them, “The right time for Me has not yet come; but for you, anytime is the right time”. 7 The world cant hate you, but it hates Me; because I testify about it, that its deeds are evil. 8 So go to the Feast; I wont go up to the Feast now, because My *allotted time* is not yet completed. 9 He said these things as He remained in Galilee. 10 But when His brothers left for the Feast, He then also went, but not openly, but as it were secretly. 11 The Jews were looking for Him at the Feast; and asking, “Where is He”? 12 There was a lot of disputing among the people concerning Him; for some said, “He is a good man”; while others said, “No, He deceives the people”. 13 Yet no one spoke openly about Him, for fear of the Jews. 14 About the middle of the Feast, Yeshua went into the temple, and taught. 15 The Jews wondered, and asked, “How does this man understand writing* [1121, gramma], not having been educated”? 16 Yeshua said, “My doctrine is not from Me, but from the One who sent Me. 17 Anyone who desires to do His will, will understand whether My doctrine is from Yehovah, or whether I speak of My own accord. 18 Anyone who speaks according to the will of his own mind, seeks praise for themselves; but anyone who seeks the praise of the one who sent him, is truthful, and evil is not in his mind. 19 Didnt Moses give you the Torah*? Yet not one of you observes the Torah*. 20 Why do you seek to kill Me? The crowd said, ‘You have a demon, who seeks to kill You’? 21 Yeshua replied, “I have done one work, and you all marvel. 22 Because Moses gave you circumcision, (not that it was from Moses, but it was from the fathers,) you circumcise a child on the Sabbath. 23 If a child is circumcised on the Sabbath day, so that the Torah* of Moses is not be violated, why do you complain about Me, because I have made a man entirely sound on the Sabbath day? 24 Dont judge, depending on the person; but judge with righteous judgment”. 25 Some from Jerusalem said, “Isnt this the One they want to kill? 26 Look, He is speaking publicly, and they say nothing to Him. Do our elders believe that He really is the Messiah"? 27 Yet we know this Man and where He is from; when the Messiah comes, no one will know where He is from. 28 Yeshua spoke out, while teaching in the temple, “You know Me, and you know where I am from. I did not come of My own will; but He who sent Me is true. You dont know Him; 29 but I know Him; because I am from Him, and He sent Me. 30 They tried to apprehend Him; but no one laid hands on Him, because His hour [1] had not yet come. 31 Many of the crowd believed in Him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, will He work greater signs than these that this Man does”? 32 When the Pharisees heard the crowd saying these things about Him, they and the leading priests sent constables to take Him. 33 Yeshua said, “I’ll be with you a little while longer, and then I’ll go to the One who sent Me. 34 You will seek Me, but you wont find Me; because where I’m going, you cant come. 35 The Jews asked among themselves, “Where is He about to go, that we cant find Him? Will he go to some region of the other ethnicities* [1484, ethnos], and teach the Greeks* [1672, Hellen]”? 36 What does He mean by, “You will seek Me, but you wont find Me”, and “Where I go, you cant come”? 37 On the Last Day, that Great Day of the Feast, Yeshua stood and spoke out, “If anyone thirsts, let them come to Me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in Me, as the Scriptures have said, ‘Out of their *innermost being* [2836] will flow rivers of living waters’”. 39 But He spoke this concerning the Spirit, that* those who believe in Him would receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Yeshua had not yet been glorified. 40 Many in the crowd who heard His dialog, said, “Certainly, He is the Prophet”. 41 Others said, “He is the Messiah”. Others said, “Would the Messiah come from Galilee”? 42 Dont the Scriptures say that the Messiah is a descendant of David, and from Bethlehem, the town of David? 43 There was a division among the crowd concerning Him. 44 Some of them wanted to apprehend Him. But no one laid a hand on Him. 45 The constables came to the leading priests and Pharisees; and the priests told them, “Why have you not brought Him”? 46 The constables told them, “No one has ever spoken as this man speaks”. 47 The Pharisees told them, “Are you also deceived”? 48 Have any of the leaders, or the Pharisees, believed in Him? 49 But these people who dont know the Torah* are accursed. 50 One of them, Nicodemus, the one who came to Yeshua by night, asked them, 51 “Does our Torah* condemn people before they are heard, to determine what they have done? 52 They asked him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see, that no prophet arises from Galilee”. 53 Then everyone to his own house. [2]

[2] This 53rd verse is lacking in many early editions of the Aramaic Testimony of Yeshua, as well as the whole story of the adulteress, in the following chapter, vs. 1-11.

John 8: Yeshua went to the Mount of Olives. 2 In the morning He came again to the temple; and all the people came to Him, and He sat down and taught them. 3 The Torah* professors and Pharisees brought forward a woman who was caught in adultery. When they had placed her among them, 4 they told Him, “Master, this woman was caught openly in the act of adultery. 5 In the Torah* of Moses, Yehovah has commanded us to stone such people. So what do You say? 6 They said this, tempting Him, so that they might have grounds to accuse Him. But Yeshua stooped down, and began writing on the ground. 7 As they continued asking Him, He stood up, and told them, “Whoever among you is without sin, let him cast the first stone at her. 8 He stooped again, and continued writing names[1] on the ground. 9 When they saw this, they passed by, one by one, beginning with the oldest; and the woman was left alone where she had stood among them. 10 When Yeshua had straightened Himself up, He asked the woman, “Where are they? Does no one condemn you”? 11 She said, “No man, Master”. Yeshua replied, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and from now on, sin no more”. 12 Yeshua again conversed with them, and said, “I am the light of the world; anyone who comes to Me, wont walk in darkness; but will find the light of life for themselves”. 13 The Pharisees told Him, you bear witness of Yourself, so Your testimony is not verified. 14 Yeshua told them, “Altho I bear witness of Myself, My testimony is certain, because I know where I came from, and where I am going. But you dont know where I came from, or where I’m going. 15 You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one. 16 Yet if I Judge, My judgment is certain, because I am not alone. There is I, and My Father who sent Me. 17 It is written in your Torah* that the testimony of two people is certain. 18 I am one, who bears witness of Myself, and My Father who sent Me, bears witness of Me. 19 They asked Him, ‘Where is Your Father’? Yeshua replied, ‘You dont know Me or My Father. If you had known Me, you would also have known My Father’”. 20 Yeshua spoke these truths in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid a hand on Him, because His appointed time had not yet come. 21 Again Yeshua said, “I’ll go away, and you’ll seek Me, but you will die in your sins. Where I’m going, you cant come”. 22 The Jews asked, “Is He about to kill Himself, that He should say, where I go you cant come”? 23 He told them, “You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world". 24 I told you, that you’ll die in your sins; for if you dont believe that I am the One, you’ll die in your sins”. 25 The Jews asked Him, “Who are You”? Yeshua told them, “Altho I have begun to converse with you, 26 I still have many things to say and to determine* concerning you. But He who sent Me is true; and the things that I have heard from Him, are the things I speak in the world”. 27 They did not know that He spoke to them of the Father. 28 Yeshua told them again, “When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am the One, and that I do nothing from My own pleasure, but as My Father taught Me, that is what I speak. 29 The One who sent Me, is with Me; My Father has not left Me alone, because I always do the things that please Him”. 30 When He had spoken these things, many believed in Him. 31 Yeshua told the Jews who believed in Him, “If you continue in My teachings, you’ll truly be My disciples. 32 You’ll know the truth; and the truth will set you free”. 33 They told Him, “We are descendants of Abraham, and were never in servitude to anyone; so how can You say, you’ll be freemen”? 34 Yeshua told them, “assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin, is the servant of sin. 35 A servant doesnt remain forever in the house; but the Son remains* forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you’ll really be free men. 37 I know that you are the descendants of Abraham; but you want to kill Me, because you have no room to receive My truth. 38 I speak of the things that I have seen with My Father, and you do the things that you have seen with your father”. 39 They told him, “Our father is Abraham”. Yeshua told them, “If you were descendants of Abraham, you would behave as Abraham did. 40 But now you want to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth that I heard from Yehovah. Abraham didnt do that. 41 But you do the works of your father”. They told him, “We arent the offspring of prostitution; we have one Father, Yehovah”. 42 Yeshua told them, “If Yehovah were your Father, you would love Me; for I *departed from* [1831] Yehovah; I did not *arrive here* [2240] of My own will, but He sent Me. 43 Why dont you understand Me? Is it because you cant hear Me? 44 You are of your father, the Devil; and the lusts of your father you are also bent on doing. From the beginning he was a murderer, and didnt stand for the truth; for the truth was not in him, and when he tells a lie he reveals himself, for he is a liar, and the father of lies. 45 But because I tell the truth, you dont believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? If I tell the truth, why dont you believe Me? 47 He who is of Yehovah, hears the truths of Yehovah. Therefore you dont hear, because you arent of Yehovah”. 48 The Jews asked Him, “Didnt we accurately say that you are a Samaritan with a demon”? 49 Yeshua told them, “I dont have a demon; but I honor Yehovah; while you dishonor Me. 50 But I dont seek My own praise; there is One who seeks it, and judges. 51 Assuredly, I tell you, that anyone who keeps My teachings, will never see death”. 52 The Jews told Him, “Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; yet You say, ‘He who regards* My truths* will never experience death’. 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham who is dead, or than the prophets who died? Who do You claim that You are”? 54 Yeshua told them, “If I glorify Myself, My praise is nothing. It is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, He is our God. 55 You dont know Him, but I know Him. If I were to say, I dont know Him, I would be a liar, like you; but I do know Him, and I obey His truths. 56 Abraham, your father desired to see My day; and he saw it [2], and rejoiced. 57 The Jews said to Him, “You arent fifty years old yet, and claim you have seen Abraham? 58 Yeshua told them, “Most certainly I tell you that before Abraham existed, I AM. 59 Then they took up stones to stone Him. But Yeshua concealed Himself, and left the temple, and passed along among them, and went away.

[1] There is virtually no doubt that it was names being written on the ground. I believe it better to suggest it than not to.

[2] Abraham met Yeshua when He went by the title “The ‘Angel’ of the Lord”.

John 9: While passing, He saw a man blind from his mother’s womb. 2 His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, so that he was born blind”? 3 Yeshua told them, “He did not sin, nor his parents; but that the works of Yehovah might be seen in him. 4 I must work the works of the One who sent Me, while it is day; the night comes, when no one can work. 5 So long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world”. 6 Having said this, He spat on the ground, and made mud with the saliva, and spread it on the eyes of the blind man; 7 and told him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam”. He went, and washed, and came away seeing. 8 His neighbors, and those who had previously seen him begging, said, “Isnt this the one who sat and begged”? 9 Some said, “He is the one”, yet others said, “No; but he looks like him”. But he said, “I am the one”. 10 They asked him, “How were your eyes opened”? 11 He told them, “A man whose name is Yeshua, made mud and spread it on my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go, wash in the waters of Siloam’. So I went, and washed, and my sight was restored”. 12 They asked him, “Where is He”? He told them, “I dont know”. 13 They brought the one who had been blind, before the Pharisees. 14 Now it was on the Sabbath that Yeshua made the mud, and opened his eyes. 15 Again the Pharisees asked him, “How was your sight restored”? And he told them, “He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and my sight was restored”. 16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not of Yehovah, for He doesnt observe the Sabbath”. But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner, work these miracles”? So there was division among them. 17 Again they asked the blind man, “What do you say of Him, since He has opened your eyes”? He told them, “I say that He is a prophet”. 18 The Jews would not believe that he had been blind, and recovered sight, until they called the parents of the one who had recovered his sight. 19 They asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? And how does he now see”? 20 His parents said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21 but how he now sees, or who opened his eyes, we dont know. He is of age, ask him; he can speak for himself”. 22 His parents said these things, because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had decided, that if anyone confessed that He was the Messiah, they would expel him from the synagogue. 23 For this reason his parents said, “He is of age, ask him”. 24 And they summoned the man who had been blind a second time, and told him, “Give praise to Yehovah; for we know that this Man is a sinner”. 25 He replied, “Whether or not he is a sinner, I dont know; but, one thing I know, that I was blind, and look, now I see”. 26 They asked him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes”? 27 He told them, “I have told you, and you didnt listen. Why would you inquire again? Do you also want to become His disciples”? 28 But they reproached him, and told him, “You are His disciple, but we are the disciples of Moses. 29 We know that Yehovah conversed with Moses; but as for this man, we dont know where He is from”. 30 The man replied, “So in this there is something marvelous, that you dont know where He is from, and yet He has opened my eyes. 31 Now we know, that Yehovah doesnt hear the voice of sinners; but rather those who fear Him, and do His pleasure, those he hears. 32 Never has it been heard, that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind. 33 If this man were not of Yehovah, He couldnt do this kind of thing”. 34 They replied, “You were wholly born in sins; and you want to teach us”? Then they expelled him. 35 Yeshua heard that they had expelled him; and He found him, and told him, “Do you believe in the Son of Yehovah”? 36 He who was healed, said, “Master, who is He, that I may believe in Him”? 37 Yeshua told him, “You have seen Him, and it is He who is talking with you”. 38 He said, “Master, I believe”, and he fell down, and worshipped Him. 39 Yeshua said, “For the judgment of this world, I have come; that they who dont see, can see; and that those who see, will become blind. 40 Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him, heard these things; and they asked Him, “How? Are we also blind”? 41 Yeshua told them, “If you were blind, you would be without sin; but now that you say, ‘We see’; your sinfullness is established”.

John 10: Most certainly, I tell you, that anyone who doesnt enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 But the one who enters by the door, is the shepherd of the flock. 3 To him the door keeper opens the door; and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his sheep by name, and leads them out. 4 When he has led out his flock, he goes before it; and his sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5 But the flock wont follow a stranger, rather, it flees from him; because it doesnt recognize the voice of a stranger. 6 Yeshua gave this illustration to them; but they didnt understand what He told them. 7 Yeshua told them again, “Assuredly, I tell you that I am the door of the flock. 8 Everyone who came before were thieves and robbers, but the flock did not listen to them. 9 I am the door, if anyone enters by Me, they will live, and will come in and go out, and will find pasture. 10 The thief only comes so that he can steal, kill, and destroy. I have come, that they can have life, and have it abundantly*. 11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd *lays down* His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, who is not the shepherd, and to whom the sheep dont belong, when he sees the wolf coming, abandons* the flock, fleeing away; and the wolf comes, seizing some, and scattering the rest of the flock. 13 The hireling flees, because he was hired*, and has no concern for the flock. 14 I am the Good Shepherd; and I know My own sheep, and they know Me. 15 As My Father knows Me, so I know My Father; and I *lay down* My life for the flock. 16 I have other sheep that arent of this fold; and those I must also lead*; and they will hear My voice; there will be one flock, with one Shepherd. 17 For this reason My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, to reclaim it again. 18 There is no one who will take it from Me; because I lay it down of My own will, for I have the liberty* to lay it down, and the liberty to *reclaim it* again; because I have received this Commandment from My Father”. 19 Again there was a division among the Jews, because of these sayings. 20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is a madman [3105]; why listen to Him”? 21 But others said, “These arent the teachings of someone demon possessed; can a demon open the eyes of someone who is blind”? 22 The Feast of Dedication was held at Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 Yeshua walked in the temple, in the porch of Solomon. 24 The Jews gathered around Him; and asked Him, “How long are You going to hold our minds in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly”. 25 Yeshua told them, “I have told you, and you didnt believe. The works that I do in the name of My Father testify for Me. 26 But you dont believe because you arent of My sheep, as I have told you. 27 My sheep hear My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give to them eternal life; and they will never be lost; nor will anyone pluck them from My hand. 29 For My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; nor can anyone pluck them from My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one”. 31 Again the Jews took up stones, to stone Him. 32 Yeshua told them, “I showed you many good works from My Father; for which of those works would you stone Me”? 33 The Jews replied, “It’s not because of good works, that we’ll stone You; but because You blaspheme; and tho You are a man, you *claim to be* [4160] God”! 34 Yeshua told them, “Isnt it written in your Torah*, ‘I have said, you are Gods’? 35 If he called them Gods, because the truth of Yehovah was with them, and the Scriptures cant be unbound; 36 how can you say to the One that the Father has *made holy* and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme’; because I told you, I am the Son of Yehovah? 37 If I dont do the works of My Father, dont believe Me. 38 But if I do them, altho you dont believe Me, then believe in the works; so that you can know and believe, that My Father is in Me, and I in My Father”. 39 Again they eagerly tried to seize Him; but He escaped from their grasp. 40 He went to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John first immersed*,and He stayed there. 41 Many people came to Him, and they said, “Indeed, John has not performed even one sign; but everything that John said of this man, was true”. 42 And many believed in Him.
