MARK 11-16 (with Strong’s Numbers)

Mark 11: As they approached Jerusalem, near Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, 2 and told them, “Go into the village ahead of us, and as soon as you enter it, you’ll find a colt tied that no one has ridden; untie it, and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this’? Tell him, ‘Because our Master has need of it’. Immediately he will send him here”. 4 They went, and they found the colt tied, by the door, outside* on the street. As they were untying it, 5 some of those standing there, asked them, “Why are you untying the colt”? 6 They told them, “Yeshua had instructed them”; so they allowed them. 7 They brought the colt to Yeshua, and tossed their garments on it, and Yeshua sat on it. 8 Many spread their garments on the road; while others cut branches from the trees, and strewed them on the road. 9 Those before Him, and those who following Him shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yehovah. 10 Blessed is the advancing Kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest heavens”. 11 Yeshua entered into the temple in Jerusalem, and looked at everything. When evening arrived, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. 12 The following day, as He left Bethany, He was hungry. 13 He saw a fig tree in the distance with leaves on it, and He came to it to find something to eat. When He got to it He found nothing on it but leaves; because it was too early for fruit. 14 He said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!”. His disciples heard Him. 15 They came to Jerusalem and Yeshua entered the temple of Yehovah and He began to throw out everyone who bought and sold in the temple, and He overturned the counters of the bankers* [1], and the seats of those who sold doves. 16 He allowed no one to carry goods thru the temple. 17 As He taught them, He asked, “Isnt it written, My house will be called the house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves”. 18 The leading priests and the Torah* professors heard Him, and they began searching for a way to destroy Him; they were afraid of Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching. l9 That evening, they left the city. 20 In the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered away to the roots. 21 Simon remembering, remarked to Him, “Rabbi; look, the fig tree that you doomed* [2672] has withered away” 22 Yeshua replied, “Have faith in Yehovah”. 23 Believe Me, whoever tells this mountain, “Be removed, and fall into the sea”; if they dont doubt in their mind, but believes that what he said will occur, their request will happen for them. 24 So I say that whatever you pray and ask for, believe that it will happen, and it will happen. 25 When you stand up to pray, disregard* [863] any offenses that you have against anyone; so that your Heavenly Father can also *disregard and acquit* [863] you of your offenses. 26 For if you dont *disregard offenses*, neither will your Heavenly Father acquit your offenses. 27 They came again to Jerusalem. As He was walking in the temple, the leading priests and Torah* professors and elders came to Him, 28 and asked Him, “By what authority are You doing these things? Who gave You the authority to do these things”? 29 Yeshua replied, “I’ll also ask you for an explanation, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 The immersion* of John, where did it come from—from heaven, or from men? Tell Me”. 31 Then they, *considering their options* [3049], said, “If we reply to Him, ‘From heaven’; He will ask, ‘Why didnt you believe him’? 32 But if we say, ‘From men’; we would fear the people; for they all believe that John is truly a prophet”. 33 So they told Yeshua, “We dont know”. So He told them, “Then neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things”.

Mark 12: He began to speak to them in analogies* [3850]; “A certain man planted a vineyard, and enclosed it with a hedge, and dug out a wine press, and built a tower in it, and put it into the hands of sharecroppers, then he went on a long journey. 2 At harvest time, he sent an employee to the sharecroppers, to collect his share of the vintage. 3 They beat him, and sent him away empty handed. 4 So he sent them another employee; and they threw stones at him also, and wounded him, and sent him away after being shamefully treated. 5 Again he sent another; and they killed him. He sent many other employees, they beat some, and they killed others. 6 Finally, having only a dear son left, he sent him to them; for he said, “They will be *ashamed of themselves and change* [1788] when my son arrives”. 7 But the sharecroppers said among themselves, “This is the heir; come, let’s kill him, and his inheritance will be ours”. 8 So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. 9 So what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those sharecroppers, and lease* the vineyard to others. 10 Havent you read this Scripture, “The stone that the builders rejected, has become the cornerstone”? 11 Yet this was done in Yehovahs presence; and it is a wonder in our eyes”. 12 They looked for an excuse to apprehend Him, but were afraid of the people; for they knew that He spoke this analogy* against them. So they left Him, and went away. 13 They sent some Torah* professors and Herodians to Him, to entrap Him by His own words. 14 They came, and asked Him, “Master; we know that you are truthful, and without favoritism toward anyone; because You dont consider any aspect of humanity*, but teach the way of Yehovah in truth. So is it lawful to give tribute money to Caesar; or not? Should we pay it, or not”? 15 He understood their treachery, and told them, “Why tempt Me? Bring Me a denarius, so I can see it”. 16 They brought one to Him. Then He asked them, “Whose image and inscription is on this”? They replied, “It’s Caesar’s”. 17 Then Yeshua said, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s; and give to Yehovah what is Yehovahs”. They were amazed at Him. 18 Then the Sadducees came to Him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they said: 19 “Master; Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, and leaves a widow, but leaves no children, his brother should take his widow, and raise up children for his brother. 20 There were seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and died, and left no children. 21 The second took her, and died, and he also left no children, and the third in like manner. 22 The seven took her, and left no children. Last of all, the woman also died. 23 So in the resurrection which of them will she be married to, because all seven took her”? 24 Yeshua replied, “Arent you mistaken because you dont understand the Scriptures, or the power of Yehovah”? 25 Because when they rise from the dead, they dont take wives, nor are wives given to husbands; but they are as the holy Messengers in heaven. 26 But concerning the dead rising, havent you read in a book of Moses, how Yehovah said to him from the bush, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? 27 He isnt the God of the dead, but of the living. So you are greatly in error. 28 One of the Torah* professors came, and hearing the dialog, saw that He gave them an excellent answer; so he asked Him, “Of all the Commandments, which is of the *highest importance* [4413]”? 29 Yeshua replied, “The *most important* of all the Commandments is: “Hear, O Israel; Yehovah our God is one, 30 and you must love Yehovah your God with all of your *intellectual endeavors* [2588], with all of your being* [5590], with all of your understanding* [1271], and with all your ability* [2479]. This is the *most important* Commandment. 31 The second is similar: “You must love your neighbor, as yourself. No other Commandment is greater than these”. 32 “An excellent answer”, replied the Torah* professor. “Rabbi, You have spoken the truth; because there is one God, and no other exists but Him. 33 For a person to love Yehovah, with all of their *intellectual endeavors*, with their being*, with all of their understanding*, with their ability* and loving their neighbors, as themselves is far better than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 Then Yeshua, noting the wisdom of his reply, told him, “You arent far from the Kingdom of Yehovah”. After this no one dared to question Him anymore. 35 Later, as Yeshua was teaching in the temple He remarked: “How can the Torah* professors say, that the Messiah is David’s son? 36 Because David, inspired by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘Yehovah said to my Master, “Seat yourself at My right hand, until I place Your enemies under Your feet”’. 37 So David called Him ‘Master’; but how could He have been his Son? The crowd was delighted to hear this. 38 Continuing to teach, He said, “Beware of the Torah* professors, who love to strut around in long robes and to be greeted respectfully in public places, 39 receiving the front seats in the synagogues, and the best seating at Feasts”. 40 They devour widow’s houses and cover their actions with their lengthy prayers. They are increasing their condemnation’”. 41 As Yeshua sat over against the treasury room of the temple, He saw how the people were tossing money into the treasury. Many rich people tossed in a great deal. 42 Then a poor widow came up and tossed in two leptons*, small brass coins*. 43 Yeshua called His disciples together, and told them, “Believe Me, this poor widow has tossed more into the treasury than all the others who are tossing money in. 44 bECuse they all throw in portions of their abundance, but she, in her poverty, has thrown in everything that she possessed, the entirety of her property.

Mark 13: As Yeshua was leaving the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Master, look at these stones, and these buildings! 2 Yeshua asked him, “Do you see* these great buildings? There wont be a single stone left on another here that is not overthrown [2647]”. 3 As Yeshua was sitting on the Mount of Olives, by the temple, Cephas and James and John and Andrew asked Him, privately; 4 “Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign that these things are about to happen”? 5 Yeshua answered: “Beware, that no one deceives you. 6 Many will come in My name, and will say that, ‘I [Yeshua] am He’. They will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of battles, and the rumor of battles, dont be afraid; because this must happen; but the end isnt yet. 8 One nations will rise against another nations, and kingdoms against kingdoms, there will be earthquakes in various places, as well as famines and insurrections. These are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Be very careful; because they will *hand you over* [3860] to judges; and you’ll be beaten in the synagogues [4864, sunagoge], and you’ll stand before kings and governors, because of Me, for a testimony to them. 10 The *Good News* must first be proclaimed among every nation. 11 When they arrest* you and *hand you over*, dont worry in advance about what you’ll say, and dont *prepare speeches* [3191]; but, say what is given to you spontaneously*; because it isnt you who will speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 Brother will hand over his brother to death, and a father his son; and children will stand up against their parents, and will kill them. 13 You’ll be hated by everyone, because of My name. But whoever perseveres to the end, will *be saved*. 14 When you see the sign of the *idolatrous abomination* [946] of desolation* [2050] that was mentioned by Daniel the prophet, standing where it should never be; (those who read this should understand;) then those who are in Judea should flee to the mountain [3735], 15 and anyone who is on a roof shouldnt come down and go inside to take anything from their house, 16 and no one in the fields shouldnt return to get their clothing. 17 During that time, pregnant and nursing women will despair! 18 Pray that your flight wont be during *stormy weather* [5494]. 19 There will be tribulation* in those days, on a scale* that has never happened since the beginning of Yehovah’s creation until now—and certainly never again! 20 Unless Yehovah should curtails* [2856] those days, no humans* would survive. But, because of the Select whom He has chosen, He has curtailed* that *period of time*. 21 Then, if anyone says to you, “Look, here is the Messiah, or look over there; dont believe it. 22 For false the Messiahs will arise, and lying prophets; and they will perform signs and wonders; and will deceive, if possible, even the Select. 23 Be cautious and remember that I have told you all of this in advance. 24 In those days, AFTER the Tribulation [2], the sun will be darkened; and the moon wont give her light; 25 the stars will fall from heaven; and the dynamism* [1411, dunamis] of heaven will be shaken. 26 Then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with great power and splendor. 27 Then He will send out His holy Messengers*, and will gather His Select from the four winds, from the remotest part of earth to the remotest part of heaven. 28 Understand an analogy* from a fig tree. When its twigs are tender, and its leaves begin to bud, you know that *warm weather* approaches. 29 In the same way, when you see these things happening, you’ll know that it is near—at the doors! 30 I’m telling you that this *perverse nation* [1] certainly wont pass away [2], until all these things occur. 31 Heaven and earth will arrive* [3], but My truths wont pass away [3]. 32 But of the day and the hour [4], no one knows; not the holy Messengers* of heaven; not even the Son, only the Father. 33 Be careful, watch, and pray; because you dont know exactly when the time is. 34 It’s like a man, who left his home and went on a journey; he gave guardianship to his employees, each had their assignments; and he instructed the doorkeeper to be *very vigilant* [1127]. 35 So watch; for you dont know when the supervisor of the house is returning; at evening, or at midnight, or at the rooster’s crowing, or in the morning, 36 because he may come suddenly, and find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to you all, be very vigilant.

[3] Strong’s 3828, parerchomai, can mean both “pass away” and “arrive”! Perhaps this is a play on the word, contrasting the future arrival of the New Heaven and the New Earth with the present and eternal nature of His words.

[4] A thinly disguised reference to the Day of Trumpets, that begins each year immediately after the thin crescent of the new moon is seen in Jerusalem, with the exact “day and hour” annually in question. For the Select it should still be anticipated annually!

Mark 14: It was two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The leading priests and the Torah* professors were contemplating a means to take Him by deception, and kill Him. 2 But they said, “Not during the Feast, because there might be a riot among the people 3 When we were in Bethany in the house of Simon the potter* [1], as He was resting, a woman came with an alabaster box of precious ointment of spikenard; very precious, and she opened it and poured it on Yeshua’s head. 4 Some of the disciples among them were displeased and said, “Why was this ointment wasted? 5 It could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and been given to the poor”. They were indignant at her. 6 But Yeshua replied, “Let her alone; why trouble her? She has done a good deed for Me. 7 For you’ll always have the poor with you; and whenever you want, you can do *good things for them* [22095], but I wont always be with you. 8 She has done what she *needed to do with her possession* [2192]; and *has come in advance* [4301], to perfume My body, as if for burial. 9 Certainly wherever My *Good News* is proclaimed, in all the world, what she has done will be mentioned as a memorial* to her”. 10 Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the leading priests, in order to betray Yeshua to them. 11 When they heard him, they were thrilled [5463]; and they promised to pay him off. So he began looking for an opportunity to betray Him. 12 On the First Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Jews sacrifice* the Passover, His disciples asked Him, “Where do You want us to go, and prepare for You to eat the Passover? 13 He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, “Go to the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him. 14 Wherever he enters, tell to the owner of the house, “Our Rabbi asks, ‘Where is the *guest room*, where I may [2] eat the Passover with My disciples”? 15 Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; make preparations for us there. 16 His disciples went, and entered the city, and found it as He had told them, and they made preparations for the Passover. 17 When it was evening, He came with His twelve. 18 As they were eating, Yeshua said, “It is certain that one of you eating with Me will betray Me”. 19 They began to grieve. They asked Him, one by one, “Is it I”? 20 He told them, “It is one of the twelve who dips with Me in the dish”. 21 The Son of man goes, as it is written of Him, but disaster awaits the man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed. It would have been better for that man, if he hadnt been born”. 22 As they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and blessed, and broke, and gave it to them, and said, “Take some; this is My body”. 23 He took the cup, and gave thanks, and blessed it, and passed it to them. They all drank from it. 24 He told them, “This is My blood of the New Covenant that is shed in behalf of many. 25 I will definitely not drink of the fruit of the vine again, until the day when I drink *a new variety* [2537, 1b1] in the Kingdom of Yehovah. 26 They sang hymn, and went out to the Mount of Olives. 27 Yeshua told them, “Tonight all of you will be offended by Me, for it is written, ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and His sheep will be scattered.’” 28 When I have risen, I will precede you into Galilee. 29 Cephas told Him, “Even if they are all offended, I will not be”. 30 Yeshua told him, “Certainly today, on this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times. 31 So he added, “If I must die with You, I will not deny You, Master”. All the disciples said similar things . 32 They came to the place called Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here, while I pray”. 33 He took with Him Cephas and James and John, and began to be sorrowful and distressed. 34 He told them, “I am in anguish, even to the point of death. Wait for Me here, and be alert”. 35 He advanced a little, and fell to the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour could pass from Him. 36 He said, “Abba, You can do anything. Allow this cup to pass from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours”. 37 He came and found them sleeping. So he said to Cephas, “Are you sleeping Simon? Couldnt you watch with Me for one hour? 38 Watch and pray, so that you dont enter into temptation. The spirit is willing and ready, but the body is weak”. 39 He went again and prayed, repeating the same things. 40 Returning He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. They didnt know what to say to Him. 41 He came a third time, and asked them, “*Are you still sleeping and resting* [3]? The end is near; the hour has come; and now, the Son of man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Arise; let’s go. He who betrays Me is present”. 43 While He was still speaking, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, arrived with many people, with swords and clubs, sent from the leading priests, Torah* professors and the elders. 44 The traitor who betrayed Him, had given them a sign, and said, “The One I kiss is the Man. Seize Him promptly, and lead Him away”. 45 Immediately he came up, and said to Him, “Rabbi, Rabbi”; and kissed Him. 46 They grabbed Him and took Him. 47 One of those who stood nearby, drew a sword, and struck an underling of the high priest, and cut off his ear. 48 Yeshua asked them, “Have you come out against Me, as against a robber; with swords and clubs, to apprehend Me? 49 I was with you daily and I taught in the temple, and you didnt apprehend Me. Yet this is happening so that the Scriptures would be fulfilled”. 50 Then His disciples left Him fleeing. 51 A young man followed Him, who was clothed with a linen cloth on his nearly naked body; and they grabbed him. 52 He left the linen cloth, and fled away naked. 53 They led Yeshua away to Caiaphas the high priest. With Him all of the leading priests and Torah* professors and the elders had gathered. 54 Simon followed Him at a distance; into the hall of the high priest; and he sat with the underlings, and warmed himself by the fire. 55 The leading priests and all of the assembly searched for testimony against Yeshua, to put Him to death; but they couldnt find any. 56 Tho many testified against Him, their testimonies were inadequate. 57 Some false witnesses stood up against Him, and said: 58 “We have heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands; and in three days I will build another not made with hands’”. 59 Still their testimonies were still inadequate. 60 The high priest stood among them, and interrogated Yeshua and asked, “Dont You have a reply? What about these testifying against You”? 61 Yeshua was silent, He wouldnt reply. Again as high priest interrogated Him, he asked, “Are You the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed”? 62 Yeshua replied, “I AM. And you will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Power, and He will come on the clouds of heaven”. 63 The high priest tore his tunic, and asked, “Why do we need witnesses anymore? 64 Look, from His own mouth you have heard His blasphemy. How does it appear to you”? They all decided that He deserved to die. 65 Some began to spit in His face, and to buffet Him, saying, “Prophesy”. The servants struck Him on the cheeks. 66 As Simon was below in the court, a girl, an underling of the high priest came, 67 and saw him warming himself. She looked at him, and said, “You too were with Yeshua the Nazarene”. 68 But he denied it, and said, “I dont know what you are talking about”. Then he went out onto the porch; and the rooster crowed. 69 The girl saw him again, and she started saying to those standing nearby, “This man is also one of them”. 70 He again denied it. A little later, those standing there said again to Cephas, “Surely, you are one of them; for you are also a Galilean, and your speech gives it away”. 71 He began to curse, and swear, “I dont know the Man you are talking about”. 72 Immediately the rooster crowed a second time. Then Simon recalled that Yeshua had told him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times”. And he began to cry.

[2] The word “may” implies uncertainty. In verse 14, Yeshua was perhaps being deliberately vague with His words concerning whether or not He would be there. Very shortly afterward there was no doubt—He was to be the Passover rather than to eat it.

[3] See why the Greek says just the opposite. Keywords sleep on.

Mark 15: Immediately, in the morning, the leading priests with the elders and the Torah* professors, and the whole Sanhedrin, held a meeting. They bound Yeshua, and led Him away, and delivered Him over to Pilate the governor. 2 Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews”? He replied to him, “You could say that”. 3 The leading priests accused Him of many things. 4 Pilate again questioning Him, asked, “Arent You going to reply? See how many things they are testifying against You”! 5 Pilate was amazed that Yeshua wouldnt answer him. 6 It was his custom, at every Feast, to release one of their prisoners, whoever they wanted. 7 There was one named Bar Abas, who was confined with the insurgents, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8 The people cried out demanding that he should do for them as he was accustomed to doing. 9 Pilate answered, “Do you want for me to release to you the King of the Jews”? 10 For Pilate knew that the leading priests, from envy, had condemned Him. 11 But the leading priests further persuaded the crowds, that Bar Abas should be released to them. 12 Pilate asked them, “What do you want me to do to the One you call the King of the Jews”? 13 They again cried out, “Crucify Him”. 14 Pilate asked them, “But what evil has He done”? But they cried out all the more, “Crucify Him”. 15 Pilate was willing to gratify the wishes of the crowds; so he released Bar Abas to them; and, having scourged Yeshua, he delivered Him to them to be crucified. 16 The soldiers led Him into the hall that was the Praetorium; and they called together the whole regiment. 17 They clothed Him in purple, and braided a crown of thorns and put it on Him. 18 They began to salute Him with, “Hail, King of the Jews”! 19 They struck Him on the head with a reed and spit in His face, and bowed down on their knees and pretended to worship Him. 20 Having mocked Him, they took from Him the purple, and clothed Him in His own clothes, and led Him out to crucify Him. 21 They compelled a passer-by, Simon the Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, who were coming in from the fields, to carry His cross. 22 They brought him to Golgotha, the place that is interpreted “The Skull”. 23 They gave Him a drink of wine mixed with myrrh; but He would not take it. 24 When they had crucified Him, they divided His clothes; and cast lots for them, to decide what each would take. 25 It was the third hour when they crucified Him. 26 The reason for His death was written in the inscription, “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS”. 27 They crucified with Him two robbers, the one on his right hand, and the other on his left. 28 The Scripture was fulfilled that said, “He was considered to be one of the wicked”. 29 Those who passed by also reviled Him; and, nodding their heads, they railed, “Aha, You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, 30 rescue Yourself, and come down from the cross”. 31 Also the leading priests and the Torah* professors laughed among themselves and said, “He gave life to others, but He cant save His own life. 32 The Messiah, the King of the Jews should come down from the cross now, so that we can see it and believe in Him”. Those also who were crucified with Him, also scorned Him. 33 When the sixth hour came, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 34 At the ninth hour, Yeshua cried with a loud voice, and said, “Eli, Eli, lemana shabakthani”; meaning, “My God, My God; why have You forsaken Me”? [1] 35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, “He calls for Elijah”. 36 One ran and filled a sponge with vinegar, and tied it on a reed, to offer Him a drink. But they said, “Stop; let’s see if Elijah comes to take Him down”. 37 Yeshua cried out loudly, and breathed His last. 38 The curtain of the door of the temple was torn, from the top to the bottom. 39 When the centurion, who was standing near Him, saw that He had cried out and died, he said, “This was truly the Son of God”. 40 There were women looking on, from a distance, Mary Magdalena, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; 41 who, when He was in Galilee served* Him; and many other women, who had come up with Him to Jerusalem. 42 As it was the evening of the Preparation Day that precedes the Sabbath [2], 43 Joseph of Ramath, an honorable counselor, who also waited for the Kingdom of Yehovah, came, and dared to go to Pilate, and begged for the body of Yeshua. 44 Pilate was surprised that he was already dead. So he called the centurion, and inquired if He had been dead any length of time. 45 When he confirmed it, he gave His body to Joseph. 46 Joseph bought fine linen, and took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen, and put Him in a tomb that was cut into a rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. 47 Mary Magdalena and Mary the mother of Joses saw where He was laid.

Mark 16: After the Sabbath, Mary Magdalena, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought aromatic herbs, so that they could come and anoint Him. 2 In the morning of the *first of the Sabbaths* [4521, Sabbaton], they came to the tomb as the sun arose. 3 They were asking each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the door of the tomb”? 4 They looked, and saw that the stone was already rolled away; tho it was very large. 5 Entering the tomb, they saw a youth sitting on the right side, clothed in white clothing; and they were astonished. 6 But he told them, “Dont be frightened. You are looking for Yeshua the Nazarene who was crucified. He has risen; He is not here. Look at the place where He was laid. 7 Now go and tell His disciples, and Cephas, ‘Look, He precedes you into Galilee; you will see Him there, just as He told you’”. 8 When they heard this, they fled the tomb; for astonishment and trembling had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone because they were afraid. 9 In the morning of the first of the Sabbaths*, He arose; and He appeared first to Mary Magdalena, from whom He had cast out seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and crying. 11 When they heard the women say that He was alive, and that He had appeared to them, didnt believe them. 12 After this He appeared, in a different form, to two of them as they were walking into the countryside. 13 They also came back and told the rest; but they wouldnt believe them. 14 Finally, He appeared to the eleven, as they sat at the table; and He criticized their lack of faith, and the callousness of their minds; because they didnt believe those who had seen Him actually risen. 15 He told them, “Go into all the world, and bring the *Good News* to the entire creation. 16 He who believes, and is immersed*, *will be saved*; but he who doesnt believe, is condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe, ‘In My name, they will cast out demons; and they will speak in new languages. 18 They will pick up serpents; and if they *happen to* drink a deadly poison, it will not harm them; and they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be healed’. 19 Yeshua, our Master, after He had spoken with them, ascended to heaven, and sat at the right hand of Yehovah. 20 They went out, and heralded* everywhere: and our Master helped them, and confirmed their messages by the miracles they performed.
