Mangosteen: The “Queen of Fruits”

But Why Pay a King’s Ransom?

Mangosteen has experienced a phenomenal surge in popularity in recent years. As recounted by my brother, mangosteen performed something wonderful for my mother in three days time. What I saw happen to her inspired me to get the word out about mangosteen as well as make available a better source.

Most merchants of mangosteen seemingly think that they are selling you something far more valuable than sterling silver when you calculate the price per ounce that they charge—minus the water. While this site is almost entirely about Scriptural mysteries we simply could not remain silent about what mangosteen did for our mother!

While the juice alone has done wonders for people, it is actually the peel of the fruit that is the primary reservoir of mangosteen’s healing properties. This thick and tough “rind” can easily be dehydrated and powdered.

Why not simply put some of the phytonutrient rich powder in your favorite juice and not pay a fortune for someone’s water? When fresh it has a mild fruity taste that you will probably not even notice in your juice except for the bit of pulp left in your mouth that you might want to wash down with some plain juice, because it does not dissolve into juice.

“Most of the studies with mangosteen have focused on the pericarp, or the dark, woody rind (off site) as opposed to the fruit inside the woody rind. The pericarp contains the active xanthone compounds. The fruit itself probably has some beneficial compounds but the compounds within the mangosteen fruit have not been studied as well as the mangosteen rind.” —Ray Sahelian

The only source of the rind powder that I am aware of is San Francisco Herb and it just happens to be truly wholesale to the public!
