The Lord And His Christ

Anyone Out There?

List 2 Preview: When the Messiah descends to earth to be with all of His saints (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17), and with “all the angels of God” (Hebrews 1:6), is He going to abandon His Father in the darkness of outer space? Will He be “left behind”? Will the Messiah leave His Father “out there” for a thousand years all alone? Or, could it be that “Project Earth” was always meant to be a joint venture with the Father owning the Kingdom and the Son ruling it?

While most people believe that the Father was the “God of the Old Testament”, and that the Son carried out a sort of “corporate take over” relieving His “harsh old Father” of His duties—particularly that of managing the Earth during the “millennial reign”, the scriptures show us a much different scenario!

The “Return of Jesus”—OR—When THEY Return?

Mysteries of the Everlasting Kingdom
INDEX

This site has several articles on the Biblical “nature of Yeshua (Jesus)”, meaning His eternal past existance and His dominant role in human affairs since Adam but in this scripture list the topic considered is simply the fact that Yeshua is coming back and His Father will be right there with Him!

Acts 4:26 The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against the Lord,’ [LORD in all caps is the usually the Father] and against His Christ. WEB

Psalms 2:2-9, the source of the above quotation, describes what “the Lord” and “My Son” (v.7) will do. It is in fact at this literally earthshaking moment in time that the Father, while standing on the earth, hands over the Kingdoms of the earth to His beloved Son!

Psalms 2:2...9 2 The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against [Yehovah], AND against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.” 4He who sits in the heavens will laugh. [Yehovah] will have them in derision. 5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and terrify them in His wrath: 6 “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” 7 I will tell of the decree. [Yehovah] said to me, “You are My son. Today I have become Your Father. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” WEB

Ultimately, the kings of the earth take their final stand “against the LORD AND against HIS Christ” at “the valley of Jehoshaphat”:

Joel 3:2 I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will execute judgment on them there for My people, and for My heritage, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations.... WEB

Revelation 11:15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom[s] of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ. ‘He will reign’* forever and ever!”. WEB

*Strong’s 936, basileuo, can just as easily be translated “They will reign”, which would agree with “Lord and ... Christ”—as it is rendered in chapter 22 below:

Revelation 22:4-5 They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the LORD GOD will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever. WEB

936 basileuo (bas-il-yoo’-o)

AV-reign 20, king 1, 21
1) to be king, to exercise kingly power, to reign
1a) of the governor of a province
1b) of the rule of the Messiah
1c) of the reign of Christians in the millennium
2) metaph. to exercise the highest influence, to control

Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven: Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the ‘power’ [or jurisdiction] of [HIS Messiah] have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

I have some chapters on this site which explain the many scriptures about the New Jerusalem coming to earth and apparently becoming a city in the clouds of heaven. Biblically, heaven simply means the sky. It can mean where the birds fly or where the constelations are spread out.

Jeshua is “the Son of Man”. Here is one of many references:

Matthew 19:28 So [the Messiah] said to them: Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Yeshua used this title to make plain Daniel’s prophecy. Undoubtedly the Son of Man will join the Ancient of Days here on earth in the Everlasting Kingdom.

Daniel 7:13-14 I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He CAME TO the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. 14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

Actually “One like” is not in the Hebrew of chapter 7. It should simply read: “and behold, the Son of Man, coming....”] On another occasion, Nebuchadnezzar used the phrase “like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:25) but then he did not know for sure who the fourth person in the fiery furnace was. He actually did say “like”—“like (8751) the Son of God” .

In the reference below, John was not positive at first that he was seeing the actual Son of Man until He was told plainly so. He had difficulty distinguishing God from the angels. (Revelation 19:10, 22:9)

Revelation 1:13-18 ... and in the midst of the seven lampstands One ‘like’ [Literally: resembling] the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me: Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Revelation 7:10 ... and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, AND to the Lamb!

1 Corinthians 15:23-24 ... [the Messiah], the firstfruits, afterward those who are [the Messiah’s] at His coming. 24 Then [at His coming] comes the end [of this age], when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

Notice that the Lamb is feeding them, but God is wiping away the tears:

Revelation 7:17 ... for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. AND God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Revelation 14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God AND to the Lamb.

Revelation 14:10 ... he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels AND in the presence of the Lamb.

Rest assured, the Farther will not miss out on the marriage supper.

Revelation 19:6-9 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, ‘Alleluia! For the Lord God omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ And he said to me, ‘these are the true sayings of God.

Notice that it is not the Lamb’s or Messiah’s Supper:

Revelation 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, ‘Come and gather together for the supper of the great God....

The “marriage feast” will take place as the wicked are perishing! Imagine what kind of people were “unworthy” if “bad” people are allowed to come instead of those first “invited”.

Matthew 22:8-13 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited werent worthy. 9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’ 10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.... 12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be. WEB

Here is more about that same time period:

Revelation 21:1-5 I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband. [This is still in the context of the marriage supper.] 3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. WEB

In what context is “death ... no more”? Isaiah chapter 25 describes this time as occurring at the very beginning of His Everlasting Kingdom.

Isaiah 25:8-10 He has swallowed up death forever! The Lord [Yehovah’] will wipe away tears from off all faces. He will take the reproach of His people away from off all the earth, for [Yehovah] has spoken it. 9 It shall be said in that day, “Behold, this is our God! We have waited for him, and He will save us! This is [Yehovah]! We have waited for Him. We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation!” 10 For in this mountain the hand of [Yehovah] will rest. Moab will be trodden down.... WEB

Revelation 22:4-5 They will see His* [Strong’s #846] face [Strong’s #4383], and His* [Strong’s #846] name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever. WEB

[* This could just as easily read “They will see Their faces” as the words 846 and 4383 are translated in Matthew 6:16, 17:6, Revelation 7:11, and 9:7. It’s the same situation with “His name”, which can be translated as “Their names”. Finally, “God”, or “Theos” is singular or plural depending on the context as in John 10:34-35.]

Revelation 21:22-23 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty AND the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

If God the Father were going to be in hiding for a thousand years then would the “the mystery of God” “be finished” during the seal plagues?

Revelation 10:7 ... but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

In Revelation there is unquestionable distinction between “God” and his “Messiah”, or “God” and the “Lamb”, and so on. The same teamwork is present in theses verses of Hebrews where we read, “God” (who must be the Father) and “His Son”. Likewise, the specific reference to “God” speaking with “us” “in these last [as they thought] days” (specifically, after the ministry of John the Baptist) “by His Son” expresses two distinct and unmistakable thoughts. First, the Son is not the same as “God” is in this reference, as they are portrayed as two separate entities. Secondly, the use of the word “by”, in “by His Son”, is particularly noteworthy in that this use of the Greek “en” denotes the “instrument” “by which” God has spoken, and the Speaker is therefore definitely not this particular God, but again, a separate entity from God. This use of “en” is exactly the same as “by” in verse 1 in reference to the “prophets”, none of whom were God (the Father) either. The translators have translated the Greek word “en” into the English word “by” perfectly in verses 1 and 2.

Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high....

This teamwork is not about to end:

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and [T]hey [both of Them] sat on them, and judgment was committed to [T]hem. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to [the Messiah] and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with [the Messiah] for a thousand years.

Zechariah 14:9 [Yehovah] will be King over all the earth. In that day [Yehovah] will be one, and His name one. WEB

David knew that the Father would be at the right hand of the Messiah when He judges “the nations” and kills “the ruler of the whole earth” [Satan]:

Psalms 110:4-6 [Yehovah] has sworn, and will not change His mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” 5 The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of His wrath. 6 He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth. WEB

Therefore it is not the LORD Yehovah who is the priest, but another—the LORD here is the Father and He is not talking to Himself!

Here, Paul is speaking of Yeshua the Messiah as being this “priest”:

Hebrews 7:17 For He testifies: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. [The Father has determined to accomplish these things thru His Son].

Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Compare this to Yeshua’s statement below:

Matthew 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours [the Father’s] is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. [It is the Father’s kingdom!]

The Father will coronate Yeshua on “the throne of His father David”:

Luke 1:32-33 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.

Colossians 1:13-15 He [the Father] has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He [Yeshua] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Doesnt this explain any alleged “conflicts” in the scriptures concerning whose kingdom it is: the Father’s or Yeshua’s? Doesnt it also show that there is a difference between the “Lord God” and the “Son” of the Lord God?

Luke 11:2 So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your [the Father’s] kingdom come. Your will [the Father’s] be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, AND to the Lamb, forever and ever!

Hebrews 1:6-8 But when He [the Father] again BRINGS the firstborn [Yeshua] into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him.’ 7 And of the angels He says: ‘Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.’ 8 But to the Son He says: ‘Your [the Father’s] throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all. [This articulates the First Commandment].

Psalms 22: 27-28 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD, [the Father] and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. [i.e. in His presence] For the kingdom is the LORD’S, and He rules over the nations.

Psalms 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

The word “God”, as used here and in 2,605 other places, is “Elohiym”. Elohim is plural in the Hebrew! The singular form, “Elowahh”, is used only 57 times. For that matter Adonai is plural as well! Here is an example of the “plural plural” God in action during the Judgment period. Do you suppose They were serious?:

Isaiah 22:5 For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from [Hebrew: Adonai Yehovah] of Armies, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.

Psalms 145:9-12 The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. 10 All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, and Your saints shall bless You. 11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

There is no reason to believe that these “mighty acts” will be performed from a distance!

Most people assume that when LORD is in all caps that it is always referring to the Father. How then could anyone fit a 1000 year delay in His coming into the following verse, as one example?

Isaiah 66:15 &amp 23 For, behold, the ‘LORD’ [Yehovah, the Father] will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.... For behold, the ‘LORD’ [Yehovah] will come with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.

When the Father says to Yeshua “I will give You the nations for Your inheritance”, is that really done by remote control?

Psalms 2:6-12 Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion. 7 I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. [Prior to His human birth, Yeshua was not “the Son”.] Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. 9 You [Yeshua] shall break them with a rod of iron [Revelation 12:5, 19:15]; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. 10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Acts 2:34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: ‘The LORD said to my Lord: sit at My right hand, 35 till I make Your enemies Your footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this [Yeshua], whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.

Matthew 28:18 And [Yeshua] came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth “”[after His resurrection].

Romans 14:10-12 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of [the Messiah]. 11 For it is written: As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, AND every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

Here is a segment from The Great and Awesome Day of the Lord

John 14:2-3, 21 In My Father’s house are many “mansions” [Strong’s #3438]; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [where will He be when He comes here?] there you may be also.... 21 And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father [this is no derelict Father], and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

This scripture has been used for centuries to justify the idea of going to heaven. However, if there is any doubt about who does the traveling, the following words from the same conversation leave no doubts.

John 14:23 [Yeshua] answered and said to him: If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and WE will COME TO HIM and make OUR “home” [Strong’s #3438] with him!

These references to “mansions” and “home” are the only places that Strong’s #3438 are used in the entire Bible. They refer to the same event! We can determine from the above that Yeshua “will come again”. In His “Father’s house are many mansions” [or houses]; Yeshua will not come alone because “WE WILL COME to him”, that is come to, “anyone” who “loves Me”. It should come as no surprise that the Messiah said: “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My ‘reward’ [Literally: wage] is with Me, to give to every one according to his work”. (Revelation 22:12) The reward of eternal life is given to us in NEW JERUSALEM, Their, and our, home or abode!

The Father and the Son of Man will rule side by side!

As a parting comment; again as mentioned in Chapter 3, if the following statements are “first contact” references, the Father and the Son will make their first appearances on separate mountains.

Zechariah 14:3-5 Then the LORD [YHWH, the Father] will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His [again, the Father’s] feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, for the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD [YHVH] my God will come, and all the saints with You.

Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.

This list was compiled to refute the “Left Behind Theory”, in which the Father is purportedly abandoned to the “outer darkness” of endless space for a thousand years.
